Chapter 259: Chapter 259: Assassination Mission

Iceburg looked coldly at Nico Robin.

”I admit, I went a little too far just now.”

”But you’d better think carefully. Unlocking the secrets of the Ancient Weapons for the World Government would be extremely dangerous for this world.”

”As the only person alive who can decipher the Poneglyphs—”

”You should know better than anyone what kind of damage the Ancient Weapons could cause if they fell into the hands of any single power.”

”If you understand, then go ahead and shoot.”

”It’s just a shame your ship probably won’t be finished before tomorrow night.”

Hearing this, Robin slowly raised her head and looked at the Treasure Tree Adam behind Iceburg.

Her heart shook.

Are they going to build a new ship?

Seeing Nico Robin in that state, Blueno snatched the pistol away and pointed it at Iceburg.

”Women are women. You’re too softhearted. I wasn’t joking around at all just now. Iceburg, go to hell!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Blueno pulled the trigger without hesitation.

The bullet streaked across the night sky, trailing a flash of fire.

The next second, a black shadow flashed in front of Iceburg.

Iceburg fell to the ground and touched his chest, gasping for breath.

He had thought he was sure to die.

Realizing this, Iceburg immediately opened his eyes and looked around, trying to see who had saved him.

Then he saw a young man in a black suit and a top hat. He was glaring coldly at Blueno and Robin.

Robin looked at him too, her pupils shrinking.

Because the person who had arrived was none other than Raynor!

Raynor slowly opened his hand, and the bullet fell to the ground.

”Hey, Robin. You said you’d take responsibility for me. You can’t run away when things get dangerous.”

Robin’s eyes filled with tears. She turned her head away.

”You don’t understand anything. This world doesn’t need me anymore. I only realized it today, but I have no chance of winning against the world.”

”Tell Luffy for me that I’m leaving the Straw Hat Pirates!”

At those words, Raynor’s face turned cold.

”Leaving the crew is a serious matter. I can’t simply pass that message along. You have to tell Luffy yourself and get his approval.”

”Otherwise, you’ll become a traitor to the Straw Hat Pirates!”

Robin’s pupils shrank at those words, and she gritted her teeth.

During her twenty years on the run, she had been betrayed by many groups, and she had betrayed quite a few herself.

But the one group she never wanted to betray was the Straw Hat Pirates.

Because aboard their ship, she had truly learned what trust and companionship meant.

But if she refused to go with the World Government, they would launch a Buster Call. When that happened, no one in the Straw Hat crew would survive.

Besides, she had already been branded a criminal for years. One more charge would make no difference.

With that thought, Robin bit her lower lip and said:

”Whatever. I’ll accept any charge they put on me.”

As soon as Robin finished speaking, a grim look appeared in Blueno’s eyes.

”Could you two put this emotional farewell on hold for a moment?”

”Our mission today is to assassinate Mr. Iceburg. We don’t have time to chat with a brat like you.”

”If you insist on getting in our way, I’ll have no choice but to take your life.”

Hearing this, Robin glared sharply at Blueno.

”You promised me that the Straw Hat Pirates would be allowed to leave Water 7 safely.”

At her words, Blueno clenched his fists and said:

”That was only on the condition that they didn’t interfere with our mission. This guy has already angered me.”

As he spoke, Blueno clenched his fist and sprinted toward Raynor.

When he got close, Blueno muttered:

”Tekkai...”

As soon as the words left his mouth, Blueno’s arm became slightly shinier.

He then smashed it down toward Raynor’s head.

Robin tried to stop him with the Flower-Flower Fruit, but Raynor clenched his own fist.

He blew on it once, then swung it forward. His fist collided with Blueno’s.

The next moment, Blueno’s mouth fell open, and terror filled his eyes.

His fist twisted out of shape, followed by the sound of bones breaking.

The next second, Raynor kicked him in the chest, caving it inward.

But Raynor had no intention of letting Blueno off that easily.

He grabbed Blueno’s thick arm with one hand and yanked it downward.

Blueno’s powerful arm immediately buckled.

Raynor then punched him three times in the chest.

The blows sent Blueno’s back bulging outward. Only then did Raynor kick him away.

Robin watched in shock.

She knew Raynor was strong, but his opponent was a member of CP9.

CP9 was the most special assassination unit among the nine independent agencies of the Marines.

Its members were stronger than those of any other special unit.

Yet Blueno had been beaten helplessly by only a few of Raynor’s moves. It was simply unbelievable.

After a long while, Blueno struggled to get up from the ground.

He then used Seimei Kikan to restore his body to its original condition.

Gasping for breath, he glared at Raynor with hatred.

”How is this possible? How could ordinary strength possibly break through my Tekkai?”

After saying this, Blueno clenched his fists, and the muscles throughout his body bulged.

He instantly charged toward Raynor.

This time, he was even stronger than before.

In the blink of an eye, he was right in front of Raynor.

Blueno clenched his fist and struck forward.

But this time, Raynor simply raised one hand and held it in front of him.

Blueno’s fist slammed into Raynor’s palm as though it had struck Tekkai.

Blueno’s fingers broke instantly. Raynor then grabbed his fist.

With a twist, he heard a sharp crack as Blueno’s arm was wrenched out of shape.

Raynor’s expression turned cold as he looked at Blueno and said:

”How is it impossible? My Tekkai is simply stronger than yours!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Raynor pressed in close and struck Blueno with a Rankyaku, sending him flying.

Blood sprayed through the air, and Blueno lost consciousness completely.

Iceburg, standing behind Raynor, looked terrified.

He knew that Blueno was a member of the World Government’s CP9, and he had also been able to sense Blueno’s strength.

Yet someone that powerful had been taken down by Raynor in only a few moves.

What kind of person was this? It was hard to believe.

After dealing with Blueno, Raynor walked straight toward Robin.
