One Piece : Noble Phantasm Maker

Chapter 257: Chapter 257: World Government, Conspiracy!

Thinking about this made Raynor feel much better, though he still felt a pang whenever he remembered it.

As Raynor was thinking, the system’s notification suddenly rang out.

[Ding! Congratulations, host, you have triggered a story mission: expose the World Government’s conspiracy. Upon completion, you will receive 1,200 points of all-stat experience, several forging materials, a Water Breathing scroll, and a forging blueprint.]

Hearing the system’s notification, Raynor couldn’t help but frown slightly.

The issue wasn’t the mission itself, but the forging blueprint for the Water Breathing scroll.

As far as he knew, Water Breathing wasn’t a weapon or an item.

It was just a technique. Could items now be used to forge techniques directly?

Still, it was probably a scroll containing the Water Breathing techniques.

Water Breathing was also a fairly powerful sword style.

Giving it to Zoro or using it himself would both be good choices.

As for the mission, the World Government’s conspiracy was obviously the plan to assassinate Iceburg and seize the Dark King blueprints.

Since he had to expose the conspiracy, simply bringing everything into the open should be easy enough.

With that thought, Raynor stood up and walked off the Going Merry, heading toward Galley-La.

Seeing Raynor’s unusual actions, the Straw Hat crew didn’t find it particularly strange.

After all, the atmosphere on the ship was tense. As one of the people involved, it was understandable that Raynor would want to go out and get some fresh air.

...

A bar in Water 7.

Franky stormed into the bar, then slammed his thick arm down on the table.

”Hey, hey, Blueno! Get me the best drink in this place!”

Hearing this, the burly bartender mixed Franky a drink and brought it over.

Franky didn’t even look at it before downing it in one gulp. Then he let out a long breath.

At that moment, Granny Kokoro also downed a glass beside him and said with a laugh:

”Hey, hey, Franky. You’re especially worked up today.”

Franky pushed his sunglasses up, opened his eyes wide, and looked at Granny Kokoro.

”Some kid had the nerve to wreck the Franky Family today. What a jerk!”

As he spoke, Franky looked at Granny Kokoro and continued:

”Why did you call me here today? If you’ve got something to say, spit it out. I’ve got important business to handle.”

Hearing this, Granny Kokoro burst out laughing.

”Nothing special. I just wanted to see you.”

Franky clenched his teeth. A stream of white vapor shot from both sides of his ears.

”What kind of joke is that? Do you know what I had to give up to come here and see you? And you tell me you just wanted to see me because you were bored?”

As he spoke, Franky opened the hatch on his chest, pulled out four bottles, and set them in front of Blueno.

”Hey, Blueno. Fill all four of these bottles with cola.”

”Tonight, I’m making my move.”

Granny Kokoro poured more liquor into her mouth and laughed.

”Hey, hey, Franky. You really are cold. We haven’t seen each other in so many years, and you don’t have anything to say?”

Franky put his sunglasses back on and said:

”I’ve got nothing to say to you. I don’t want to dig up those buried memories either. I’m the boss of the Franky Family now.”

”Iceburg and I haven’t been on the same side for a long time.”

As they spoke, Blueno brought over the cola.

Franky immediately put the bottles inside his chest and shut the hatch.

A burst of vapor shot out. In an instant, Franky’s muscles bulged as if he had been filled with power.

”All right, Granny Kokoro. I don’t have time to stand around here chatting with you.”

As he spoke, Franky pulled out a stack of bills and tossed them into the air.

”Everyone’s drinks here tonight are on me!”

As soon as he said this, the other customers gave Franky a thumbs-up.

”Hey, Franky, you’re really generous today.”

”Yeah, yeah. Then I’m going to drink as much as I want tonight.”

”Blueno, bring me ten more bottles of beer!”

Hearing the praise from the people around him, Franky’s eyes filled with smug satisfaction.

”After tonight, I’ll pay for all your drinks from now on. But tonight, you’d better not get in my way.”

The other customers were completely confused by his words. But Frank had always been a little crazy, so they didn’t pay much attention.

Granny Kokoro, however, seemed to realize what was going on. She looked at Franky and said:

”Hey, hey, Franky. What kind of stunt are you planning this time? You barely survived, so you should treasure your life.”

Franky glanced sideways at Granny Kokoro.

”Huh? What do you mean, stunt? Tonight, I’m pulling off something big.”

With that, Franky turned and walked toward the door, waving his hand.

”You should head back early too. This place isn’t safe to stay in for long. If you want to see that guy Iceburg, you’d better come back tomorrow.”

With that, Franky shut the door and headed straight toward Galley-La.

The members of the Franky Family waiting outside all shouted excitedly.

”Boss Franky, tonight is the final battle between light and darkness, right? We’ll give it everything we’ve got!”

Hearing this, Franky punched the pale, chubby underling on the head.

”You idiot! We’re only going to steal the Treasure Tree Adam this time. If you really want a fight, we can always go after the Straw Hat crew later.”

At this, the assorted oddballs of the Franky Family all shouted loudly.

They then followed Franky toward Galley-La.

...

Inside a dark basement, Rob Lucci sat in a black suit and black hat, with both hands resting on his left knee.

His eyes were cold as he stared at Nico Robin across the table.

”I never thought Nico Robin, known across the world as the Devil’s Child of Ohara, would cooperate with the World Government.”

Robin’s expression remained cold as she replied:

”I hope you keep your promise and let the Straw Hat crew leave Water 7 safely.”

Hearing this, a trace of mockery appeared in Lucci’s eyes.

”What is this? After being known as the Devil’s Child of Ohara for twenty years, have you transformed into an angel?”

”You’ve betrayed so many groups. Why are you so loyal to the Straw Hat crew?”

Robin turned her face away and said coldly:

”I don’t need to explain myself to you. From here, you can take me to Mary Geoise, the underwater prison, or the gallows. Do whatever you want.”

Hearing this, Lucci narrowed his eyes, revealing a sinister look.
