Chapter 255: Chapter 255: Challenging Raynor!

”Chopper, not every injury can be healed with bandages and medicine.”

”Tell Raynor this for me: tonight, I’ll come back here and fight him to the death. Whoever wins gets control over what happens to the Going Merry.”

With that, Usopp turned around and headed straight back into Water 7.

After Usopp left, Raynor, Luffy, and Zoro finally walked over to the ship and watched Usopp’s back.

Nami’s eyes filled with tears. She looked at Raynor, then lightly punched him in the head.

She puffed out her lips as if venting her frustration.

Seeing this, Raynor turned his head away and said,

”You don’t have to hold back. I’m not really angry right now.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Nami punched Raynor hard on the head. A large red bump slowly rose up.

Raynor gritted his teeth and glared at Nami.

At that moment, Nami said sadly,

”Why did you have to say something so harsh? You know Usopp feels inferior. You should have gone easy on him and explained everything clearly from the start.”

”Now things have ended up like this. How are we supposed to fix it?”

Raynor put his hands in his pockets and looked into the distance.

”Why fix it? If he keeps acting like this, he’ll leave sooner or later.”

After hearing this, the entire Straw Hat crew fell silent.

Luffy’s face grew extremely dark, and he turned around.

As he passed Raynor, he opened his eyes, looked at him, and said seriously,

”What you just said is true, right, Raynor?”

Raynor answered with complete confidence,

”It’s true.”

Luffy patted Raynor on the shoulder and walked away.

”Then I understand.”

Night soon fell. Nami, Sanji, and Chopper stayed by the ship.

They waited for Usopp to return. Once he had calmed down, they planned to try talking him out of the fight.

It was nearly nine o’clock when Usopp finally arrived.

His eyes held a firm determination.

They had never seen that kind of determination in Usopp before.

Sanji, who had originally planned to talk Usopp out of it, also stopped in his tracks.

Seeing Sanji back down, Chopper hurriedly said,

”Hey, Usopp, come back! Sanji made you a nutritious meal...”

Before Chopper could finish, Sanji raised a hand and stopped him.

”That’s enough, Chopper. The Usopp standing in front of you is no longer the same Usopp as before. He’s a warrior now!”

”Let the warrior have his serious duel. Don’t shake his resolve.”

After hearing this, Chopper burst into tears.

”Sanji, you’re a big liar! You said the nutritious meal would convince Usopp to come back!”

Sanji immediately lit a cigarette and took a deep drag.

”Sorry, Chopper. I made things seem much simpler than they really were.”

Hearing Sanji say that, two more tears ran down Nami’s cheeks.

Just then, Raynor, Luffy, and Zoro walked out together.

When he saw Raynor, Usopp said with complete confidence,

”Come down here and fight me to the death, you guy who wants to abandon his crewmates!”

Raynor jumped down from the Going Merry and walked up to Usopp. The two stared each other in the eyes.

”You’ve made every preparation, right, Usopp? I won’t hold back.”

Usopp’s expression turned cold as he said,

”Yeah. I’m completely ready. So, can we start now?”

As soon as he finished speaking, Usopp took a step backward.

The next second, Raynor frowned deeply.

A screw seemed to have popped out from the spot where Usopp had just stepped.

The next second, an iron net suddenly rose from beneath Raynor.

Raynor frowned. Usopp really had planned everything in advance. He had even placed an iron net beneath Raynor’s feet.

However, Raynor only had to use a little Tempest Kick to smash the net apart.

The two halves of the net flew off in opposite directions.

At that moment, thousands of thumbtacks came rushing toward Raynor from every direction.

”So he hung a net from a tree and is using it like a slingshot?”

”That’s actually a pretty good idea.”

With that thought, Raynor silently said to himself,

”System, extract the Dragon Talisman!”

As soon as he finished speaking, a hexagonal stone appeared in Raynor’s hand.

The next moment, Raynor spat out a stream of explosive fire. All the thumbtacks around him melted into molten iron.

When they landed on the ground, they hardened into metal pieces.

Seeing this, Usopp pulled out his slingshot and shouted,

”Then try my secret technique—the Stinky Tofu Star!”

Usopp fired his slingshot. A piece of stinky tofu fermented with bean curd flew straight toward Raynor.

Seeing this, Raynor sighed. Sure enough, Usopp was still using these boring tricks.

Raynor vanished in a flash, easily dodging the stinky tofu, then charged straight toward Usopp.

But at that moment, a look of triumph appeared in Usopp’s eyes.

A moment later, he was holding an octopus tied up with rope.

Usopp quickly untied the rope around the octopus. In an instant, the octopus released a huge cloud of ink from its ink sac.

Raynor quickly backed away, but quite a bit of ink still splashed onto his face.

He wiped the ink from his eyes and looked at Usopp.

”These tricks are pretty boring. But how long can you use such boring moves to hold me back? The outcome was decided from the start.”

Hearing this, Usopp’s expression darkened again.

”Maybe you’re right. These boring tricks can’t hurt you at all. If you wanted to, you wouldn’t have needed to dodge just now, right, Raynor?”

Raynor’s expression grew cold again.

”Then hurry up and show me your final trump card. I don’t want to waste any more time with you.”

At this, Usopp pulled the Origin Pistol Raynor had given him from his waist.

”I’m sorry that I have to use something you gave me to fight you. But other than this, I have no trump card that can defeat you.”

Raynor looked up and said,

”That’s fine. You can use the Origin Pistol—if you can really pull the trigger.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Raynor vanished in a flash and appeared at Usopp’s side.

Usopp aimed the Origin Pistol at him.

Raynor flashed away again, then kicked Usopp in the stomach and sent him flying.

Usopp struggled to his feet, aimed the Origin Pistol at Raynor, and said,

”Do you really think I don’t dare to shoot? You know how powerful this pistol is. No matter how strong you are, you couldn’t survive even one shot!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Usopp pretended to prepare to fire.

But in that instant, he used his incredibly quick hands to switch to his slingshot.
