900 Chapter 900 442: As If an Old Friend Returns 2026-11-03

Several Dragonites gathered around, bringing their heads close and observing Naoki with big eyes.

”Alright, I’m fine, just held my breath for too long.” Naoki smiled and patted one of the Dragonite’s heads.

”Roar~” The Dragonites let out happy growls.

After resting for a while, Naoki sat up, walked over to Koraidon and Calyrex, looked at the Dragonites, and said with a smile:

”The ocean has completely merged with the World Tree. From today, you can live here without worries.”

”Roar~!” The Dragonites also discovered this and expressed their happiness.

Naoki then scanned the open spaces on Dragonite Island, searching for spots suitable for farmland development, and planning to create a Berry Garden there so the Dragonites could be self-sufficient.

By using Rain Dance for watering and Dragon Power for nourishing the crops, this Dragon Island would soon become a paradise for Dragonites.

Before long, Naoki found suitable land.

He decided to bring berry saplings and Dugtrio over with Zack when they found fish fry to help the Dragonites build their Berry Garden.

With the Dragonites’ changes understood, the next step was the Explorer Team Guild.

Naoki waved goodbye to the Dragonites, then took the World Tree elevator to the top floor.

There, he saw the Treeckos holding a big pile of berries, seemingly about to do something.

Surprised, Naoki stopped them and asked: ”Where are you going?”

Treecko: ”Chaha!”

Beside him, Calyrex helped translate: ”They say the berries in the garden are more than they can eat, and the tree holes are full, so they want to take these berries to the Dragonites.”

Upon hearing this, Naoki was slightly stunned. As far as he knew, although the Berry trees bore fruit more frequently than regular fruit trees, it shouldn’t be that exaggerated, right?

”Then go for it! The Dragonites are all on the island now!” Naoki replied.

”Chaha~” The Treeckos happily responded.

Naoki watched as the three Treeckos carried berries past him, taking the World Tree elevator to the next level.

He, meanwhile, led a group of Pokemon to observe the changes on this level.

Compared to the Dragonites’ side, the changes here were not as evident.

After a simple tour, Naoki found that, apart from the vegetation being more lush and the natural atmosphere being thicker, not much had changed here.

During this time, Naoki greeted Keri, who was working.

From Keri, he learned about the recent phenomena here.

The World Tree’s leaves above emitted a gentle glow, the grassland’s vegetation began to grow at a visible speed, and according to Machamp, the Berry Garden’s trees were also crazily bearing fruit.

Berry trees crazily bearing fruit?

Naoki raised an eyebrow, then continued with the Pokemon, reaching the Berry Garden after passing through a grove.

Now, the Berry Garden was filled with large and plump berries everywhere.

Arboliva was beside it, using Grass Energy to tend to these fruit trees.

Seeing Naoki approaching, Arboliva paused its actions.

”Arboliva, did these berries just grow?” Naoki asked.

”Liva!” Arboliva nodded slightly and began to explain the recent changes to Naoki.

It turned out that when Calyrex cultivated the World Tree, the Berry Garden was also affected.

One after another, berries sprouted, and the Treeckos frantically picked them.

But just as they picked one batch, another batch of berries would grow again.

After several continuous harvests, the fruit trees in the garden finally stopped bearing fruit, leaving the Treeckos panting tiredly.

As they talked, Arboliva took Naoki to see where they stored the berries.

It was inside tree holes located in the trees within the forest.

Since the Explorer Team’s warehouse for storing berries wasn’t built yet, the Pokemon had to store the berries in those tree holes for now.

Naoki saw that the tree holes of several big trees were packed full of berries, and some had even fallen onto the grass because there was no more space.

”...”

Alright, now he understood why the Treeckos wanted to give the berries to the Dragonites.

There were simply too many berries for them to consume.

In light of this, Naoki explained the situation to Arboliva, saying, ”The warehouse will be finished soon, so soon there won’t be any worries about running out of space for berries.”

Keri’s construction progress was fast, and with Machamp’s help, the warehouse would soon be complete, after which they could start building the guild headquarters and other Pokemon facilities.

”Liva~” Arboliva nodded gently.

Finally understanding what changes had occurred on the World Tree, Naoki exhaled in relief; fortunately, everything was progressing positively.

Before leaving, he took a trip to the lake where Milotic lived to check on Milotic and Tatsugiri.

When Naoki arrived there, Milotic was gently swimming in the lake.

The three Tatsugiris were lounging lazily in the sun by the shore. With no danger here, they relaxed without fear of being captured by other Pokemon.

Slowpoke was still dozing by the shore.

Seeing this scene, Naoki couldn’t resist walking over, gently squeezing Slowpoke’s armpits, and picking it up.

Slowpoke showed no reaction.
