Not Being a Trainer This Time

Both Treecko Tropius and Milotic Tatsugiri agreed gladly.

Meanwhile, the Dragonites mentioned by Arboliva had also noticed the strange changes happening on this tree.

On Dragonite Island, a large group of Dragonites raised their heads to look at the sky, while some Dragonites looked around confusedly.

The surrounding waters were emitting a faint green glow at this moment, as if something they didn’t know about was quietly changing.

The Dragonites were quite puzzled by this situation.

But soon, a clever Dragonite leapt into the sea, intending to see what was happening underwater.

With a splash, the Dragonite disappeared beneath the green-glowing surface of the sea.

It quickly reached the seabed.

The seabed was also undergoing strange changes, where the original grasslands and bushes had vanished, replaced by patches of sea grass, seaweed, and kelp.

There was even a beautiful coral reef!

”Rawr!”

The Dragonite was greatly shocked. It grabbed a long piece of kelp with its large claws and swam to the surface, showcasing it to its companions.

Soon, all the Dragonites knew what kind of changes were happening in this place.

Outside the World Tree, as the light on the leaves gradually dimmed, Calyrex’s urging of growth reached its conclusion.

Naoki cast his gaze towards the World Tree, and information about it automatically appeared in his mind.

[World Tree (Mature Stage): The thriving World Tree is reaching the end of its growth, transforming into another form of life, creating an internal environment. A mystical tree that is said to sustain a world by nurturing all creatures with natural energy. It requires 27,198 more years to fully mature.]

”It’s shortened by ten thousand years again, at this rate, it will mature in three months.” Naoki muttered.

It’s March now, and in three months, it will be June, just perfect.

”You’ve worked hard!” Naoki said to Calyrex.

With a smile, Calyrex looked up at the towering tree before him and said to Naoki:

”I just sensed that something is changing inside the World Tree. You might want to take a look.”

”Hmm?” Naoki was slightly taken aback, changes? What changes?

To this, Calyrex shook its head saying, ”I am not sure either, but I can feel that it is different from before.”

Naoki nodded thoughtfully, if that’s the case, he might as well investigate!

Accompanied by a group of Pokemon, Naoki once again entered the World Tree. Riding the tree’s elevator, he first arrived at the Land of Dragons where the Dragonites resided.

As Naoki reached here, he saw many Dragonites playing on the island’s beach with seaweed, coral, and kelp in their Dragon Claws.

Naoki was a bit confused.

Where did the seaweed and coral come from? Does the World Tree have these things?

Or did Calyrex transfer them along with the seawater?

However, Calyrex stated that it was not their doing.

Since that’s the case, he might as well go check it out!

Naoki took off his clothes and dove into the water with a splash.

The Dragonites playing on the island saw this and thought Naoki had fallen into the water, so they all jumped in after him.

Before Naoki could figure out what was happening, several Dragonites approached behind him, one of them wrapped its chubby claws around him, attempting to drag him out of the ocean.

Naoki: ”?”

Through Dragon Power, he quickly sensed the Dragonite’s thoughts.

—It thought he had fallen into the water and was attempting to save him.

Naoki couldn’t help but feel a bit speechless, but speaking of which, wild Dragonites do seem to rescue humans who fall into the ocean.

This is why ships sailing at sea often like to have Dragonite as a mascot.

Naoki gently patted the Dragonite’s arm, conveying his intention through Dragon Power.

[I didn’t fall into the water, I just want to come down and see what’s changing here.]

”Rawr?”

Hearing this, the Dragonite looked at Naoki carefully and realized he did not appear to have fallen into the water, so it released its grip.

[Do you know what just happened here?] Naoki asked.

His delivery Dragonite and other working Dragonites had gone out for delivery and did not come today, so he took this opportunity to seek help from these Dragonites.

Upon hearing Naoki’s words, the Dragonite was very happy.

It hugged Naoki and swam towards the seabed with the other Dragonites, then pointed to the underwater sea grass and seaweed, and said to Naoki: ”Rawr!” (These have grown!)

Naoki:!

Looking at the green sea grass swaying with the ocean currents on the seabed, Naoki was momentarily stunned.

He even saw an expanse of coral reef not far away.

What is going on?!

Could it be that when Calyrex urged the World Tree’s growth, it caused a natural evolution within its interior, merging with these waters?

After thinking it over, Naoki believed this was the only possibility.

To think it was possible...

This is truly amazing!

Naoki felt a surge of wonder on his face, amazed by the power of the World Tree.

He wanted to look further, but he was running out of oxygen and had to signal the Dragonite to take him back to the surface, returning to Dragonite Island.

Lying on the beach, Naoki took deep breaths of the fresh air.
