Battle?

They aren’t here to battle today, so Ogerpon instinctively shook its head to refuse, then continued walking forward with Dragonite and Gholdengo.

Seeing that the masked girl rejected his challenge, the boy was slightly stunned.

But that Dragonite looks very powerful. Since I’ve encountered it, it would be a shame not to battle such a strong Trainer.

The boy hurriedly caught up, following behind the Trainer: ”Please have a Pokemon battle with me, just one match, please!”

Ogerpon, Dragonite, and Gholdengo stared blankly at the persistent boy in front of them.

The three Pokemon exchanged glances; it seemed they could only move forward by defeating this human.

”Boo...”

Ogerpon wanted to take off its mask and battle itself, but suddenly remembered it was disguising as a human Trainer.

So Ogerpon quickly put on the mask again and nodded.

Seeing the Trainer agree, the boy’s eyes lit up, and he immediately pulled out a Poke Ball from his pocket.

”Nice to meet you!”

Ogerpon imitated his gesture and extended its hand.

Dragonite at first didn’t react, until it noticed Ogerpon’s puzzling gaze and realized it was its turn to act.

Dragonite stepped forward with a fierce presence.

”Wow!”

Watching this scene, a question mark popped up above the boy’s head.

What is going on? This Trainer and her Pokemon seem so odd?

He couldn’t help but ask, ”Can’t you speak?”

Ogerpon didn’t know how to respond, so it could only shake its head.

Can’t speak? Is this girl mute? The boy was bewildered, how would she command the Pokemon in battle?

Only then did the boy realize his rudeness and quickly apologized to the girl in front of him, ”I’m very sorry! I didn’t know your situation!”

Ogerpon didn’t understand why he was rambling, it waved its hand signaling the battle could start.

The boy had many questions but still couldn’t resist the temptation and led the strange girl and her Pokemon to the battle square in the town center.

In this world, Trainer culture is prevalent, and Trainers on their travels could have a Pokemon battle at any time.

Because of this, almost every town and city has multiple battle venues.

Porto Marinada Town has them too.

At this moment, Ogerpon mimicked Naoki’s stance, standing at one end of the battle arena, Dragonite pretending to be its Pokemon stood ahead.

Seeing the Trainer was ready, the boy felt his fighting spirit ignite.

He held the Poke Ball and then strongly threw it.

”Come on, my partner! The dancer in the water, Quaquaval!”

With a flash of white light, a gracefully posing duck Pokemon appeared on the battlefield, dancing.

”You go first!” the boy said, slightly curious about how this speechless girl would command her Pokemon to battle.

But the next second, he saw the Dragonite on the opposite side move.

It flapped its wings, creating a strong Hurricane sweeping towards the opposite side.

Countless fierce winds struck Quaquaval, immediately rendering it unable to battle.

??!

”Wh-what happened?” The boy couldn’t react in time.

Was that Hurricane just now? What power!

Seeing the opponent defeated, Ogerpon couldn’t help but let out a happy Growl, then turned around with Dragonite and Gholdengo to leave.

Now they could continue selecting a gift for Naoki!

The boy left in place was baffled.

What on earth... is all this?

The three Pokemon returned to the street, occasionally stopping in front of glass windows gazing at the dazzling array of goods inside.

This time no one interrupted them, so the gift selection process was quite smooth.

Soon, Ogerpon selected a delicate bouquet.

The flower shop owner, a lady in a checkered apron, looked at the masked girl and gently introduced:

”This is the famous Gracidea flower!”

”Bonnie?” Hearing the flower’s name, Ogerpon couldn’t help but mumble.

The shop owner was slightly stunned, then looked incredulously at the masked ”girl” in front of her and asked, ”Are you... a Pokemon?”

Only then did Ogerpon realize it had exposed itself, quickly covering its mouth with its hand.

This gesture amused the shop owner.

”Don’t worry, though I don’t know why you pretend to be a human, buying this flower must be to gift it to someone very important to you, right?”

Seeing the other party had seen through its identity and seemed without malice, Ogerpon simply stopped pretending and happily nodded, ”Bonnie Bonnie!”

Dragonite and Ogerpon beside it echoed in agreement.

Looking at these three Pokemon, a gentle smile appeared on the woman’s face.

She could see these three Pokemon lived very happily.

”If that’s the case, then give this bouquet to that person! It’s called Gracidea flower, originating from the very far Sinnoh Region away from here.”

”People there on birthdays or anniversaries and other important days express gratitude by making bouquets of these flowers.”

The three Pokemon quietly listened.

Originally, Dragonite wasn’t satisfied with the flower Ogerpon picked because the ranch also had many flowers, Naoki might not like it.

However, upon hearing this, its original thought changed.

Giving such a flower to Naoki couldn’t be more suitable!

Gholdengo had the same thought.

Rather than flowers, Gholdengo preferred shiny golden objects.

Therefore, it initially planned to buy something of that color for Naoki to thank him for all the Gold Coins he gave to help it evolve.

But now... this flower is perfect!

Once the gift selection was complete, it was time for payment.

Ogerpon rummaged through its clothes and handed over the bundle that its sister Indeedee had given it.

The florist reached out to receive it, initially thinking it contained berries the three Pokemon gathered, but upon opening, was almost blinded by the gold light inside.

Her face showed shock: ”These, these are...?”

The three Pokemon looked at each other.

Thinking it wasn’t enough money, Gholdengo quickly used Steel Type Energy to create a dozen more Gold Coins.

Witnessing this moment, the woman was almost scared to faint.

Heavens! What did she see? This Pokemon can make Gold Coins!

”No, this is too valuable...” She quickly tied the bundle and returned it.

The three Pokemon looked puzzled, completely confused.

What’s going on? Can’t these Gold Coins be used to buy flowers?

The woman explained, ”Well, I won’t charge you, the bouquet is my gift to you, these Gold Coins are too valuable, you should keep them safe!”

Upon hearing that, the three Pokemon finally understood what happened.

They glanced at each other, then happily left the dozen Gold Coins Gholdengo just made, and rushed out of the shop with the flowers.

The woman’s head was bewildered, she grabbed the coins wanting to chase after them, only to see the two Pokemon already mounted Dragonite, flying away.
