Chapter 448: Uchiha Madara!

”Hehehe. I told you not to provoke that Amamiya Kenichi. Now you’re suffering, aren’t you?”

In a hidden cave in the Land of Water, Black Zetsu leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. He looked at Obito in front of him and let out a chilling laugh.

That fool Obito.

With nothing better to do, he had gone and provoked that madman Kenichi in the capital of the Land of Water. Black Zetsu had originally intended to discuss important matters with Obito, but since Obito had already gone there, Black Zetsu had naturally followed.

Because of that, Black Zetsu had personally witnessed Kenichi brutally beat Jiraiya down. He had also seen Obito flee in panic after witnessing that world-destroying lightning.

It made Black Zetsu look at Obito with even greater disdain.

He truly did not know why Madara had chosen Obito as the executor of his plan. This fellow was fine as long as that girl was not involved, but once Rin was involved, he became irrational, as if he had lost his mind.

On the surface, Black Zetsu showed no abnormality.

Inwardly, however, he had already developed other thoughts.

Although he did not know why Kenichi had resurrected Rin, Black Zetsu could see that Obito’s heart already had a flaw.

Rin’s resurrection had made Obito anxious. It made him constantly fear losing her again. For Obito, everything he wanted had always been a world with Rin in it.

But now...

Since this world already had Rin, would Obito still be so determined to complete the Eye of the Moon Plan?

If Obito could no longer complete the Eye of the Moon Plan, then he would become unstable.

In that situation, if the plan was to be completed, Black Zetsu would need another source of reliance.

Black Zetsu’s eyes became obscure and unreadable.

”That guy... his strength is growing stronger and stronger.”

Obito sat on a chair. Two images kept echoing in his mind.

Rin’s smile.

And the blinding lightning he had seen with his own eyes.

At that moment, the fear of death had suddenly enveloped Obito’s heart, making him feel deeply uncomfortable.

He had not feared death before. After all, if he died, he could see Rin again.

But after seeing Rin alive, Obito realized that he seemed to have changed.

He had changed without even noticing it.

How strange.

He had only seen Rin a few times, yet Obito found that he had already changed.

He had begun to fear death.

He had begun to fear Kenichi’s world-destroying ninjutsu.

What kind of ninjutsu had that been?

Facing such a technique, if his Kamui were seen through by Kenichi, and if Kenichi seized the opportunity to hit him with that ninjutsu, could he survive?

Obito subconsciously touched his eye.

Inside that eye was a Mangekyo Sharingan with the Izanagi eye technique, an eye that could spare him from death once. It was the only one he had left after using the previous one.

Ever since using Izanagi last time, Obito had developed a faint fear of his own Kamui dimension. Sometimes, after entering it, he would immediately come back out again, just to avoid being killed by that strange attack method after entering.

That feeling was not pleasant.

Once this Mangekyo Sharingan was used, Obito would have no more Izanagi to replace it in the future.

Then, if he died, he would truly be dead.

He might even be controlled by that bastard Kenichi, just like how Kenichi had controlled the Third Hokage, Hiruzen, and Danzo.

He would not even find peace in death.

After all, Kenichi also knew Edo Tensei. Even if Obito died, unless his bones were completely destroyed, Kenichi could drag him out of the Pure Land.

”What do you plan to do?”

Black Zetsu looked at Obito with a smile.

Obito’s gaze gradually became firm.

”I used to think that if we wanted to revive that person, we needed to prepare a sufficiently refined Edo Tensei first.”

Obito spoke seriously.

”But then I thought about it. That person’s talent is so outstanding that if he is revived, perhaps he can improve this technique himself.”

Obito felt that he was no match for Kenichi.

Kenichi’s strength was growing stronger and stronger. Now, when Obito faced him, he even felt a trace of fear.

And Obito had other ideas.

As long as Madara was revived through Edo Tensei, and as long as Madara was sent to deal with Kenichi, Obito could take Rin away.

After that...

Although Black Zetsu was very powerful, Obito felt that he had also grasped some of Black Zetsu’s weaknesses. For example, Black Zetsu could not cross the sea.

At that time, Obito would only need to find a small island with abundant resources, far away from the Shinobi World. Then he could live a happy and fulfilling life with Rin.

Even if he had to farm every day, Obito did not care.

As long as he could be with Rin, everything would be worth it. ℯℯ𝑙.

Obito had become completely disappointed with this terrible Shinobi World. He no longer wanted to care about what the future of the world would become.

He only wanted to be with the woman he loved.

”Hehehe. I always carry a part of Lord Madara’s remains with me.”

Black Zetsu smiled.

Madara’s Edo Tensei could not be hidden from Obito, and Black Zetsu had no intention of hiding it either. They had originally planned to revive Madara through Edo Tensei, but various matters had delayed it.

But now, it was time.

It was time to let Madara, the absolute powerhouse who had once dominated the Shinobi World, the man whom no one but Hashirama could contend with, see how Edo Tensei should be improved.

Obito glanced at Black Zetsu.

He always felt that Black Zetsu seemed to have some ulterior motive, but considering that Black Zetsu was the embodiment of Madara’s will, that was not surprising.

”Let’s do it. As for the sacrifice, White Zetsu should work, right?”

Obito nodded.

He had made up his mind.

He would take Rin and leave. Then he would go far away from the Shinobi World, find a place to settle down, and spend the rest of his life with Rin.

”Hehehe. White Zetsu will do very well.”

Black Zetsu waved his hand with a strange laugh, and a White Zetsu emerged from the ground.

This was a very capable White Zetsu, originally intended for later use. But for the sake of completing that plan, using it now was fine.

Black Zetsu began to act.

He had already learned Edo Tensei, and the operation itself was not very difficult, merely somewhat tedious.

As White Zetsu’s breathing slowly became steady, his face and figure underwent subtle changes.

Before long, a familiar figure appeared before Obito.

The man had a head of long black hair. Even with his eyes closed, the mere sight of him was enough to inspire fear.

Uchiha Madara!

Obito placed Madara into a specially made coffin, strictly completing the final stage of Edo Tensei.

”Summoning Jutsu!”

Inside the cave, Obito summoned the coffin.

Black Zetsu stood to the side and watched. He felt that this step was somewhat redundant, but there was no other way. The first use required caution.

The coffin stood silently in place.

After a moment, the coffin lid was kicked open.

Then a figure walked out.

He scanned his surroundings, then lowered his head and looked at his hands, slowly clenching his fingers.

”I’ve been revived?”

A low voice sounded.

”No, this is not a perfect revival.”

Madara raised his head.

What was going on?

According to the plan, the situation when he was revived should have been different.

”Madara-senpai, there has been a small problem with the plan.”

Obito walked over and explained in a low voice.

Black Zetsu occasionally interjected, filling in the parts Obito had omitted.

Madara listened quietly.

Even without saying a word, his mere presence exerted tremendous pressure. As Madara’s aura grew stronger, Obito’s voice even grew softer.

”So, the Eye of the Moon Plan has run into trouble. The Three-Tails is dead, and someone is blocking the plan?”

After listening to the explanation, Madara frowned and looked at Obito and Black Zetsu.

How had the plan collapsed to this extent?

Before Madara died, he had already arranged everything he could. As long as Obito was not a complete idiot and strictly followed the plan, he should have been able to use the Akatsuki Organization to collect the Tailed Beasts.

Moreover, Madara had even transplanted the Rinnegan into Nagato so that Nagato could help Obito collect the Tailed Beasts after his death.

In any case, childish and ridiculous ideals were always the easiest way to make fools risk their lives for a cause.

A powerful Mangekyo Sharingan user, Obito.

A Nagato with the Rinnegan and a heart filled with pain.

With those two pieces in place, how could anything possibly go wrong?

”Who is this Amamiya Kenichi?”

Madara caught the key point.

Everything seemed to be connected to this Kenichi.

His strength was formidable. He had even killed Jiraiya and that junior, Hiruzen.

”A rogue ninja from Konoha. Orochimaru’s disciple.”

Obito answered honestly.

”He is a very powerful ninja who has mastered Sage Mode, Wood Release, and even the Mangekyo Sharingan.”

Madara was stunned for a moment.

Sage Mode.

Wood Release ninjutsu.

Those two terms instantly awakened certain memories in Madara’s heart.

Hashirama.

Senju Hashirama.

The only shinobi Madara had ever acknowledged.

Powerful.

Possessing abundant chakra.

The only opponent and friend in the Shinobi World at that time who had been worthy of Madara’s recognition.

However, Hashirama’s thinking had been too naive.

The Shinobi World was not that simple.

”Mangekyo?”

Madara noticed another detail.

”Is he a ninja of my Uchiha Clan?”

The other party actually possessed the Mangekyo Sharingan?

That should not be possible.

If such a powerful clansman had existed back then, why had Madara not known about him?

Moreover, his name was Amamiya Kenichi.

If he were truly a ninja of the Uchiha Clan, he should have been called Uchiha Kenichi.

”No, he...”

Obito continued explaining.

To Obito, Kenichi had also been someone who suddenly emerged.

Before this, the Shinobi World had never heard the name Amamiya Kenichi.

Obito still remembered the first time he met Kenichi.

At that time, Kenichi had come to join the Akatsuki Organization and seek refuge.

Back then, Obito had felt that it did not matter. He had seen many rogue ninja like that.

But now, Obito wished he could travel back in time and kick his past self several times, then immediately kill Kenichi with everything he had.

If he had done that, there would not be so many problems now.

”Interesting.”

A flicker of excitement flashed through Madara’s eyes.

Although Madara wanted to complete his plan and had even hidden himself for so many years while planning for so long to achieve it, Madara was still Madara.

He was still a genius shinobi who loved battle and was obsessed with combat.

To Madara, ever since Hashirama died, the so-called geniuses of the Shinobi World had looked no different from children fighting in a kindergarten.

But now, a ninja with extraordinary talent had appeared.

He possessed the Mangekyo Sharingan of the Uchiha Clan, Hashirama’s Sage Mode and Wood Release, and reportedly excellent taijutsu as well.

This was simply a shinobi who had developed in every direction.

Most importantly, his strength had been acknowledged by Obito.

Madara understood this tool he had trained very well. Obito’s strength could be considered quite good. At the very least, he had reached Kage level.

Yet Obito was helpless against Kenichi.

He even needed to resort to reviving Madara through Edo Tensei to deal with this enemy.

That alone proved the other party’s strength and awakened Madara’s desire for battle.

Although this was an Edo Tensei body, Madara still felt as if his heart were beating.

It was a craving for battle.

A craving for a worthy opponent.

However...

”This body cannot unleash even one-tenth of my strength.”

Madara clenched his fists.

This Edo Tensei technique was somewhat interesting. Its chakra seemed infinite, but this body could not unleash his full strength. The limitations were too great.

A battle like this would not be satisfying.

Although Madara longed for a worthy opponent, the prerequisite was that most of his own strength had to be restored.

Otherwise, the fight would not be enjoyable.

”Madara-senpai, this is also why we awakened you. This technique needs improvement...”

Obito quickly explained the problems they had encountered.

”Hmph. I can naturally see that.”

Madara snorted coldly.

”Furthermore, this technique has a restriction that allows the caster to release it and send the soul back to the Pure Land, correct?”

Who was he?

He was Uchiha Madara.

Although this crude ninjutsu was innovative in design, it had far too many flaws.

If a caster wanted to use that method to send him back to the Pure Land, Madara could directly release the process himself and prevent anyone from controlling him.

Obito nodded awkwardly.

”Let me think...”

Madara closed his eyes and began exploring his body.

He needed to recover most of his strength.

Then, he would personally go and see this Amamiya Kenichi, the man who possessed Sage Mode, Wood Release, and even the Mangekyo Sharingan.

”Can he truly dance before me?”

A hint of fanaticism flashed through Madara’s eyes.

Black Zetsu remained calm.

He believed in Madara.

Madara’s strength was incomparable to a useless person like Obito. With Madara taking action, if the Shinobi World wanted to resist, they would have to gather the power of all nine Tailed Beasts and form an allied army to subjugate him.

Even then, there would only be a certain possibility of success.

Not a guaranteed victory.
