Naruto: Orochimaru's Disciple

Chapter 430: Chapter 430: What? I Attacked Konoha?

Chapter 430: What? I Attacked Konoha?

”Lord Amamiya, according to the latest intelligence, Konoha was attacked by an unknown ninja last night. Many ninja suffered casualties, and the attacker escaped from the village afterward.”

Amamiya Kenichi had just woken up in the morning when he heard this important report from Uchiha Shiori.

He froze for a moment.

Konoha was attacked again?

Wait.

Why did he say ”again”?

Naturally, because Konoha being attacked was no longer anything new.

Counting on his fingers, ever since the end of the Ninja World War, Konoha had actually suffered very few attacks within its own borders. The only major one had been the Nine-Tails incident caused by Obito, which led to the Nine-Tails rampaging through the village and killed the Fourth Hokage.

After that, when Naruto grew up and went out to train, Konoha was attacked by Pain.

Pain used Super Shinra Tensei and successfully flattened Konoha. If Naruto had not returned and used Talk no Jutsu, Konoha might have truly been destroyed from that day onward.

After all, Konoha had suffered heavy casualties back then. Even the future Sixth Hokage, Kakashi, had died in that battle. Although he was eventually revived by Nagato, he had still technically died in battle once.

But aside from those, there had basically been no other attacks on the village during that period.

However, ever since Kenichi transmigrated, such incidents seemed to have become less rare.

For example, last time, he had heard that Killer B almost hit Konoha with a Tailed Beast Ball.

Unexpectedly, Konoha had almost been attacked again today.

This development was truly interesting.

”And then? Who was the attacker? Is there any information?” Kenichi yawned, then began brushing his teeth and washing his face.

Even in the ninja world, he still had to brush his teeth and wash his face.

Kenichi felt someone should invent a Ninjutsu specifically for brushing teeth and washing faces. That would make things much more convenient.

Unfortunately, this world clearly had no useful Ninjutsu of that kind.

The development of Ninjutsu was basically focused on combat and killing enemies. It rarely developed in any proper civilian direction.

”...Then, according to the intelligence, the attacker is said to have been Heavenly Demon,” Shiori said.

Her expression became strange, but since Kenichi had asked, she still honestly reported the intelligence she had received.

”Oh, Heavenly Demon.”

Kenichi yawned again.

That name had been appearing quite often lately.

Huh?

Wait.

Wasn’t he Heavenly Demon?

Kenichi froze for a moment.

His still-foggy mind, which had only just woken up, instantly cleared. He immediately realized how shocking the information in Shiori’s words was.

”Heavenly Demon?” Kenichi looked at Shiori in surprise.

He was Heavenly Demon.

How could he not know that he had attacked Konoha last night?

Why would he attack Konoha in the first place?

He had spent all of last night conducting experiments in the laboratory. How could he have had the spare time to go all the way to Konoha and launch an attack?

Could it be that he sleepwalked to Konoha last night and used Deep Forest Emergence on the village?

”Why do they say Heavenly Demon attacked?” Kenichi frowned.

He did not quite understand this matter.

Could it be that Konoha had been attacked last night by a method similar to his own?

Although he had not sold the weapons he had developed, there were still ways to achieve similar effects in the ninja world.

”Because last night, a high-rise apartment building in Konoha was destroyed by Wood Release Ninjutsu, resulting in countless casualties. The attacker also used several Wood Release techniques,” Shiori answered honestly.

Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

That was truly interesting.

When Kenichi attacked the allied forces of the four ninja villages, he had used Wood Release: Wood Golem Jutsu. Konoha definitely knew that he was skilled in Wood Release.

As a result, when they were attacked by Wood Release last night, it was not strange for them to think he had attacked Konoha.

The problem was that he really had not done it.

Kenichi felt a little speechless.

He had done nothing, yet a massive black pot had been firmly placed over his head.

Truly, morality was declining, and people’s hearts were no longer what they once were.

”Wood Release.”

Kenichi scratched his head.

At this time, the only other person who should be able to use Wood Release was that child who had not yet grown up. But that child’s strength was definitely not enough.

However, Kenichi remembered that Uchiha Obito also seemed capable of using similar Wood Release techniques.

He definitely had not gone to Konoha, and his Shadow Clone had not been deployed there either. So it could not have been done by his Shadow Clone.

In that case, who had caused the incident in Konoha?

That did not seem too difficult to guess.

”Uchiha Obito? Why did he attack Konoha? And why destroy an apartment building? Could it be...”

Kenichi suddenly thought of the items he had previously asked Shiori to deliver to Yakushi Kabuto.

The items Sasori had made for him.

The merchandise named Rin Nohara.

Although it was called Rin Nohara, it was essentially only a batch of dolls. However, considering the realism and lifelike quality of those dolls, Kenichi felt it would not be strange if they triggered someone’s trauma.

Even in his previous life, something of that level would probably have been censored into oblivion by web novel reviewers and forced to undergo modifications.

Although Kenichi did not quite understand why even a doll of that level would be censored, he could only attribute it to Sasori’s craftsmanship being too realistic, to the point that the doll was almost indistinguishable from a real person.

”So that means Obito should have seen Rin’s doll. If he was unlucky enough, he might even have witnessed its special function. The only thing I don’t know now is what Obito will do next.”

Kenichi pondered for a moment, then waved his hand.

Shiori respectfully withdrew.

However, this development was within Kenichi’s expectations.

He had asked Sasori to make the Rin doll precisely to anger Obito.

However, if he wanted to completely enrage Obito, a doll of Rin would not be enough.

It had to be Rin herself.

And the real Rin was currently experiencing a wonderful adventure in the capital of the Land of Water.

As for whether Rin could fall into the traps he had carefully arranged, Kenichi was quite optimistic. After all, it was difficult for any mastermind to make an entire city act in a play together.

Now, Kenichi was using the entire population of the Land of Water’s capital as actors, accompanying Rin through a passionate drama of long-standing, deeply rooted unrequited affection.

Then, by using a few small tricks to move her heart, there should still be a chance to capture Rin’s trust.

After all, how could an ordinary young girl ever encounter an entire city acting for one person, all for the final goal of making her fall for that one person?

Of course, if Rin still refused to become Kenichi’s captive in the end, he had another method.

A more unique method.

However, that method might be seen through. If it was exposed, the blow to Obito would not be as great.

But that did not matter.

He only needed to completely devastate Obito before Obito saw through it.

”Has Rin drunk the Water of Grace?” Kenichi walked out of his bedroom and asked Koyuki Kazahana, who was lying on the sofa reading a novel.

”She already drank it, Lord Amamiya,” Koyuki said, looking at Kenichi with seductive eyes.

She was wearing a dress today, but it was a very special dress. From Kenichi’s angle, the design was clearly meant to be provocative.

”As long as she drank it.”

Kenichi nodded, then walked into the kitchen.

He had given Rin the Water of Grace, and that item contained a special substance.

Parasitic insect eggs.

High-level parasites at that, ones with minimal impact on the human body.

Under Kenichi’s command, the parasites would only grow quietly for now and would not secrete anything to control Rin in the short term.

However, if Rin still could not come to trust him, then Kenichi would have no choice but to resort to somewhat more despicable methods.

All of this was ultimately for the sake of completing his revenge against that fool Obito.

”Brother Amamiya!”

Uchiha Hikari happily ran into the kitchen and suddenly hugged Kenichi around the waist.

Kenichi rubbed Hikari’s head and smiled as he said good morning.

”Hmph.”

Koyuki pouted.

Vixen.

”What does Hikari want to eat today?” Kenichi asked gently.

Hikari answered without hesitation.

”I love everything Brother Amamiya makes!”

Looking at Hikari’s innocent smile, Kenichi could not help rubbing her head again.

This little girl was truly interesting.

Recently, she had not given him any gloves, hats, scarves, or similar items, which made Kenichi feel much more relaxed.

Heaven knew how many daily necessities Hikari had given him during the previous period.

Kenichi even felt that he could directly open a glove shop without any problem.

Of course, he could also open a scarf shop or some other kind of store.

A sweater shop would not be out of the question either.

After Kenichi finished making tonkotsu ramen and sat down to have breakfast with Hikari, he looked at the cheerful girl and suddenly felt curiosity mixed with a slight sense of panic.

He decided to ask what she had been doing recently.

”Hikari, are you... planning to give me something soon?” Kenichi asked tentatively.

He accepted Hikari’s goodwill, but he really could not withstand her overly powerful affection. Her enthusiasm could easily overwhelm him like a rising tide.

”Eh?”

Hikari froze.

A trace of panic at being caught flashed across her face. Immediately after, she put on an innocent expression and shook her head at Kenichi.

Kenichi’s mouth twitched.

All right.

Confirmed.

Hikari was planning something big for him.

The only question was whether it would be a surprise or a scare.

That gave Kenichi a headache.

”Why did you go to Konoha again?”

In a secret base, Black Zetsu looked at Uchiha Obito in confusion.

Obito’s mood was extremely poor. Ever since he returned heavily injured, he had looked half-dead, which left Black Zetsu greatly puzzled.

Black Zetsu was not in a good mood either.

Yesterday, he had gone to investigate the suspected Ōtsutsuki base. However, once he arrived outside the base, he did not dare go inside.

He knew what kind of abilities the Ōtsutsuki clan possessed.

What if he was discovered after entering?

Because of that, Black Zetsu wandered around the area for an entire night. He only dared to monitor the perimeter and failed to obtain any useful information.

That made Black Zetsu rather annoyed.

”.”

Obito’s eyes were vacant.

He was seriously injured because yesterday, overwhelmed by rage, he had lost his mind completely. He had not even thought about avoiding other people’s attacks and instead charged straight into battle against Konoha’s powerful ninja.

Fortunately, Jiraiya had not been there yesterday.

Otherwise, Obito would have ended up even more miserable.

Black Zetsu secretly curled his lip.

This Obito was indeed the executor chosen by Uchiha Madara, but Black Zetsu had to admit that the man’s brain had serious problems.

If the plan did not still require him, Black Zetsu truly would not want to cooperate with Obito.

”How far has the Edo Tensei research progressed?” Obito sat up as an idea formed in his mind.

Ever since he saw that unbearable scene yesterday, Obito’s heart had been filled with grief and rage.

He wished he could kill that merchant immediately.

But then another question occurred to him.

Why would someone make a doll that looked exactly like Rin?

And why place it in Konoha?

A coincidence?

Bullshit.

The details and appearance were almost identical.

If that was a coincidence, Obito would not mind tearing off his own head and kicking it like a ball.

He could accept that the person who made it had used Rin’s photo.

Or perhaps even directly copied Rin’s appearance.

But who would care about Rin?

Although Rin was the best girl in Obito’s heart, Obito himself knew that Rin had only been a chunin when she died.

The only important person still related to Rin was Kakashi, but Kakashi was only a jonin.

Was it really worth going this far just to strike at a jonin?

Because of that, Obito suspected that this had been aimed at him.

But who would deal with him this way?

Obito could not figure it out.

No one else should know that he was still alive.

However, what Obito wanted most right now was to use Edo Tensei on Rin.

Seeing a normal Rin would let his heart forget the person he had seen yesterday.

”Not yet. The targets revived through Edo Tensei still don’t have much combat power,” Black Zetsu said, shaking his head.

Obito took a deep breath.

That was fine.

He was not reviving Rin to have her help him fight.

He just...

”Edo Tensei... Rin Nohara.”

Obito paused, falling into thought.

If he had enemies, Amamiya Kenichi was undoubtedly the first choice.

Could Kenichi be the mastermind behind this?

And last time, since Obito had stolen Rin’s remains, had the other party noticed and used this to test him?

The more Obito thought about it, the darker his face became.

Thinking carefully, it really did seem possible.

Amamiya Kenichi, that bastard, would absolutely do something like this.
