Chapter 437: A Ninjutsu Version of a Radar Satellite

”To create this kind of Ninjutsu, the difficulty really is a little metaphysical.”

Amamiya Kenichi murmured to himself, deep in thought, as he looked at the stone spear in his hand.

After coming up with the idea of perfecting the Ninjutsu he envisioned, Kenichi began making attempts. He decided to start from the basics, which meant first creating a stone that could withstand the abrasion caused by high-speed airflow at high altitude.

Otherwise, it would be far too comical if the stone was completely worn away before it even completed a single rotation.

”This problem isn’t too difficult. It just needs to be hard enough. If that’s not enough, I can even add a metal shell to it. Either way, as long as I carefully control the stone created by Ninjutsu and reshape it each time...”

Kenichi looked at the rhomboid stone in his hand.

This stone was the carrier he had made for the ”radar.”

It was not very large, but it was enough for a Shadow Clone to lie on it and observe the ground below. Its shape had also been made as streamlined as possible in order to reduce air resistance and increase speed more easily.

As Kenichi looked at the stone in his hand, an interesting thought suddenly came to him.

Since stones and similar objects had to consider air resistance, could throwable Ninjutsu such as the Rasengan also be reshaped in this manner?

Would that increase the speed of the Ninjutsu?

This was a very interesting question.

However, now was not the time to think about such things.

Kenichi planned to research the feasibility of that idea after his ”radar” was successfully created.

”The stone itself is ready now, and its hardness is acceptable. However, continuous high-altitude flight may still cause some wear. A layer of metal plating should solve that problem.”

Kenichi looked at the stone in his hand.

With the radar’s carrier now complete, two most important issues remained.

First, how would he send the stone to a sufficiently high altitude?

In the past, this question would not have been a problem at all. He could simply use an airship.

But ever since Kenichi promoted airships throughout the ninja world, every village now had them. Even border areas had airship troops for defense and surveillance.

Even at the border of the Land of Water, Kenichi himself had deployed some airships to monitor and protect the Land of Water from attacks by other forces.

This was truly shooting himself in the foot.

For the radar to gather intelligence effectively, it needed to fly at a sufficient altitude to covertly probe for information.

Otherwise, if it was discovered by airships from other villages, the intelligence it gathered might become useless.

Therefore, Kenichi’s goal was to make the radar fly higher than airships.

Much higher.

Only then would it meet his requirements.

”Then comes the second problem. How do I keep the radar operating at high altitude and high speed? It also needs to have some ability to turn.”

Kenichi fell into thought.

If radar satellite technology were more mature, he could simply launch several satellites at the same time for monitoring.

But the current level of technology was far from enough.

”Assuming no turning is needed, and instead several radars are created at once, then Shadow Clones can be used to monitor each one...”

Kenichi wrote down his thoughts, then frowned and shook his head.

This method was not impossible, but it had a certain drawback.

Namely, the use of Shadow Clones would accumulate mental fatigue.

Kenichi had tested it before.

The long-term accumulated fatigue from multiple Shadow Clones was truly exhausting. That was also why Kenichi rarely used many Shadow Clones simultaneously for study and scientific research.

If this drawback could be solved, Kenichi was confident that the ninja world’s technology would advance by leaps and bounds in a short period of time.

But for now, solving this issue seemed almost impossible.

”Forget it. Let’s solve the first problem first.”

Kenichi shook his head.

Although the second problem was also troublesome, if the first problem could not be solved, then everything else was meaningless.

So, the question was, how could he send a large stone to high altitude?

This was not an especially difficult problem.

Kenichi could even try some strange methods now, such as using the water jet effect.

If a sufficiently large and heavy object smashed into the ocean and instantly reached the seabed, it would create a temporary cavity in the water. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

That cavity would then be instantly filled by the surrounding seawater. When it closed, a powerful upward current would form in the center.

That current could even launch a person into the sky.

So, theoretically speaking, if a sufficiently heavy and massive object smashed into the ocean, it could send a stone flying into the stratosphere.

If he found an even deeper place, perhaps it could even send the stone into outer space.

However, this clearly did not meet Kenichi’s requirements.

To achieve this, the object would have to be massive enough. A Ninjutsu of that scale could already be directly used as an offensive Ninjutsu, much like Uchiha Madara’s Chibaku Tensei.

Propulsion.

After thinking for a while, Kenichi came up with this idea.

In his previous life, whether it was rockets weighing hundreds of tons or airplanes weighing over six hundred tons, they all relied on propulsion to fly into the sky.

Although Kenichi’s stone was heavy, it was still far from weighing a ton.

That meant if he used the propulsion system of a rocket from his previous life, it would likely send the stone directly into outer space while saving a great deal of fuel.

”Huh? But wouldn’t that mean I’m directly creating something from the technology side... Wait, I don’t actually know how to make rocket propulsion.”

Kenichi froze for a moment.

A thruster was naturally an excellent choice.

The problem was that he did not know how to make one.

Although he had made rocket launchers before, those had limited size and involved only very basic propulsion. That was different from the propulsion required to make rockets.

Otherwise, why could some small countries make rocket launchers but not rockets?

It was because the technological content of rockets was far higher than that of ordinary rocket launchers.

Although Kenichi was currently only making a simple radar, that did not mean this simple radar satellite could use the propulsion system of a rocket launcher.

It could perhaps be launched that way, but it would most likely crash and explode shortly afterward.

So technological propulsion was not feasible.

Thinking of this, Kenichi remembered that his airships, as well as most commonly used airships in the ninja world, now relied on Wind Release for rapid movement.

Could his radar use the same method for propulsion?

As long as enough chakra was output and the Ninjutsu’s recoil was powerful enough, it did not seem impossible.

However, while Ninjutsu like Wind Release: Great Breakthrough had decent effects in the ninja world, they did not seem to fully meet Kenichi’s requirements.

”However, this problem isn’t unsolvable. I just need to improve the Ninjutsu.”

Kenichi thought of the essence of Ninjutsu that his Mangekyō Sharingan had once seen.

After using One’s Own Life Reincarnation and Edo Tensei, the normal composition of the Ninjutsu seemed no different from the outside.

But in Kenichi’s Mangekyō Sharingan, he could see that the chakra formed a door.

A profound and mysterious door.

Combining the effects of those two Ninjutsu, Kenichi knew that those two doors were probably gates to the Pure Land, and souls were released from within them.

Thinking of this, Kenichi activated his Mangekyō Sharingan.

Chakra gathered around his body and began to flow according to his will, starting with the hand seals for Wind Release: Great Breakthrough.

And in Kenichi’s eyes, streams of chakra began forming strange shapes.

They looked somewhat like runes.

Immediately afterward, the runes underwent a peculiar change.

Then Kenichi expelled Wind Release: Great Breakthrough from his mouth.

”I see.”

Kenichi narrowed his eyes.

Wind Release Ninjutsu were also like this. They were composed of a rune.

So, was this rune the fundamental rune for all Wind Release Ninjutsu?

Kenichi temporarily set that thought aside.

The main problem now was not this.

He could research the unified structure of Ninjutsu another time.

For now, he needed to solve the radar satellite issue first.

”Wind Release: Great Breakthrough mainly focuses on lethality and offensive power. But if it is used for radar propulsion, then lethality and offense can be disregarded. I only need to pursue recoil.”

Kenichi sighed.

Researching and improving Ninjutsu was not an easy task.

Fortunately, Wind Release: Great Breakthrough was only a C-rank Ninjutsu, so it was not difficult to learn.

If Kenichi slowly adjusted it, he should be able to modify Wind Release: Great Breakthrough into the form he wanted.

However, during the modification process, the strange rune he had seen earlier kept flashing through his mind.

Perhaps the composition of Ninjutsu in the ninja world was even more mysterious than he had imagined.

”Huh? Wind Release Ninjutsu... I remember that Danzo Shimura seemed to have done deeper research into this kind of Ninjutsu...”

Kenichi thought of a certain Shadow of the Pot.

Speaking of Danzo Shimura, the strongest impression he left was his arm full of Sharingan.

Aside from that, there was the Wind Release Ninjutsu he mastered.

Thinking of this, Kenichi casually found a genin from the prison and used Edo Tensei to reincarnate Danzo.

”Amamiya brat, can’t you just let this old man rest peacefully in the Pure Land?” Danzo looked at Kenichi with some helplessness.

He felt that he must have committed some great sin to be bossed around by this little punk Kenichi every day.

He had been living a relatively relaxed and pleasant life in the Pure Land. His obsession with becoming Hokage had faded, and he had even gone to apologize to those he had wronged.

He had never expected to be summoned again by Kenichi.

”Danzo Shimura, I need your help researching a Wind Release Ninjutsu,” Kenichi said.

He had no intention of chatting with Danzo and directly stated his request.

”Then why should I help you?” Danzo looked at Kenichi with interest.

He was an Edo Tensei body.

At worst, he would simply return to the Pure Land.

”If you don’t help me, I’ll confine your soul in this body.”

Kenichi revealed a kind smile.

As long as he inserted a kunai and used a soul restraint device, he could confine Danzo’s soul inside this body.

If not for the fact that he could not find Uchiha Madara’s remains, Kenichi would even want to reincarnate Uchiha Madara and confine him, replacing the vessel every thirty days.

As for the body, of course it would be a beginner who could not even be considered a genin, someone who had just had chakra extracted.

If Uchiha Madara could still display his extraordinary strength in that kind of body, then Kenichi would accept it.

Unfortunately, he did not know where Madara’s burial place was.

Otherwise, if he could directly find Madara, he would not have to worry about Obito’s various contingencies.

The power gap between Uchiha Obito and Uchiha Madara was extremely obvious.

”Tsk.”

Danzo was somewhat helpless, but he still began improving the Ninjutsu according to Kenichi’s request.

Regarding Wind Release Ninjutsu, he, Danzo Shimura, did indeed have some research.

”By the way, Danzo, have you seen the Third Hokage in the Pure Land?” Kenichi thought of another person.

Hiruzen Sarutobi.

The former Strongest Hokage of Konoha, known as the Professor of Ninjutsu, had been proficient in all kinds of Ninjutsu. Naturally, he was also very proficient in Wind Release.

If Hiruzen assisted, perhaps Kenichi could obtain the improved Ninjutsu he wanted more quickly.

Knowledge came first, and specialization followed.

It was better to leave professional matters to professionals.

”I have. Hiruzen Sarutobi holds quite a grudge against you,” Danzo said, a smile appearing on his face.

He had indeed seen Hiruzen.

The latter truly harbored deep resentment toward Kenichi.

However, with the guidance of his teacher and some companions, Hiruzen had recently accepted the fact of his own death.

”Wait, you’re not thinking of...”

Danzo looked at Kenichi with some surprise.

He seemed to know what Kenichi was planning.

”After all, he’s the Professor of Ninjutsu, isn’t he?” Kenichi smiled.

He went out and found another genin, also a prisoner from the Land of Water’s capital prison.

Danzo looked at Kenichi’s figure, his eyes carrying an indescribable meaning.

This young man before him was very mature.

And ruthless.

He had personally killed Hiruzen, and now he wanted to reincarnate Hiruzen to serve him.

Was this something a human would do?

Kenichi did not care.

Hiruzen had occupied the Hokage position for so long. He must have known many secrets.

However, Kenichi was not especially interested in those secrets.

He only wanted to quickly complete his Ninjutsu development and try launching the radar satellite as soon as possible.

That way, he could gather intelligence on the ninja world sooner.

As Edo Tensei proceeded, the genin before them transformed into Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Immediately afterward, his eyes opened.

Those black eyes carried a trace of confusion at first.

But soon, Hiruzen saw Kenichi standing nearby.

”Amamiya Kenichi!”

Hiruzen suddenly sprang up, opened his mouth, and spat out a Fire Release Ninjutsu.
