Chapter 77: Challenging the Primordial tower

Ethan stood quietly, gazing at the Primordial Tower looming not far from the fighting arena. Without any further delay, he teleported straight to the base of the tower entrance.

All eyes turned to him, curious why he’d said he was so busy. When they saw Ethan place his hand on the tower, a surge of excitement rippled through the spectators. Everyone had witnessed his overwhelming strength in the arena—now they wondered: How did this monster compare to the ancient legends sealed within the tower?

Ethan pressed his palm against the glowing handprint. As the number one in the fighting arena—an Emperor—the conditions were fully met. A green halo pulsed over the door, signaling his clearance. He stepped inside.

The Primordial Tower had one hundred floors. The ground floor was a resting zone: any challenger who wished to pause after a victory would be teleported there, but if you lost, you’d be locked out for an entire month.

Ethan didn’t pause. He moved straight to the first floor.

A calm female voice echoed in his mind—Queen Freya.

[There are many spectators waiting to watch your battle. Do you permit them to view it?]

”Yeah, no problem,” Ethan replied indifferently. He had no intention of hiding. If anything, he wanted the entire world to see.

He stepped onto the polished white stone floor. A man sat cross-legged in the center, eyes closed in meditation. At the sound of footsteps, he opened them, revealing clear, deep pupils.

[Oho! Someone finally trying to challenge the tower? What is your name?]

Ethan raised a brow. ”You can converse independently? You have free will?”

[Yes. This is my soul imprint. I left a fragment of free will, everyone does—otherwise, it would be so dull, don’t you think?]

”That’s a point,” Ethan said, amused. ”So...are you alive or have you kicked the bucket already?”

The man’s mouth twitched.

[Hey, I’m not that much older than you. I achieved this rank about fifty years ago.]

”Then you’re even older than my grandfather.”

The man nearly coughed up blood.

[Brat! I was trying to be nice to you, but clearly you don’t want my friendliness. Very well—let this grandpa teach you a lesson in respecting your elders!]

With a thunderous boom, an overwhelming pressure poured from him, shaking the floor.

But Ethan merely lifted a hand and started poking his ear with his little finger. He had already gauged the man’s strength—much stronger than the first-rank opponent who surrendered, perhaps ten times more powerful, but still not enough.

He snapped his fingers.

The man who had been about to charge was blown apart instantly, body dissolving into motes of white light.

Outside the tower, an immense crowd had gathered—thousands upon thousands of spectators. They erupted in shocked discussion.

”That same move again...” someone whispered.

”He killed the hundredth-ranked guardian of the Primordial Tower with a snap.”

The first ten who’d been killed by him in the fighting arena—once logged in again—felt much less ashamed.

Inside the tower, the calm voice returned.

[Congratulations. Do you wish to advance or rest?]

”Advance,” Ethan replied.

He was teleported to the second floor.

There, a young man stood with a regal bearing, hands clasped behind his back. His gaze swept Ethan as though regarding an insect.

Ethan didn’t like those eyes. He hated arrogant people. Only he could be arrogant. So he met that gaze without any expression. He raised his hand like a pistol—bam.

A bullet of condensed metal element shot from his fingertip, piercing the man’s forehead.

The body fell, lifeless.

Outside, the crowd was speechless.

”At least let the poor guy introduce himself...”

someone muttered.

Ethan ascended like a rocket. The third floor, the fourth floor—every guardian was dispatched with a single strike. In this way, he reached the twentieth floor in less than fifteen minutes.

There, for the first time, he felt pressure heavier than all the earlier opponents combined.

A woman stood waiting. Her aura was radiant, suffused with seductive charm. Her power easily exceeded a hundred billion.

”Oh...a handsome man has come to visit me?” she purred, tilting her head coyly. ”Since you’ve reached this floor, you must be quite powerful. Would you care to play some adult games with me?”

Ethan yawned. ”Your breasts are smaller than a lemon. Where the hell do you get this confidence?”

The woman nearly toppled over. She had always believed in her allure. Was this man impotent?

When Ethan heard her muttered speculation, his expression darkened. His eyes turned red.

”Your father is impotent,” he growled, and punched her.

Her body disintegrated instantly.

Outside, Aurelia’s cheeks flushed red. She murmured under her breath, ”Not a gentleman at all.”

Ethan resumed his slaughter. The so-called Primordial Tower was proving disappointingly unchallenging. He was growing bored.

But what he didn’t know was that this time, his battle was not merely watched by the audience outside.

In distant realms, seven supreme-level entities had taken notice—the Seven Universal Supremes of the primordial humans.

Ethan’s potential already surpassed the universal supreme level. So naturally he caught their eyes.

They sat upon their grand thrones, a floating screen before them.

After a long silence, the woman seated upon the fifth throne—exquisitely beautiful, her face like a flawless sculpture—spoke.

”Brother...do you think he can defeat our imprints as well?”

The man on the fourth throne frowned.

”Let’s see. I’m certain he’s holding back much of his true power. What troubles me is that when I scanned that boy before, I didn’t sense any overwhelming force. How could he have hidden it from my eyes?”

”Interesting,” she murmured. ”Let’s watch.”

Ethan continued. Every level fell to a single strike.

He reached the seventieth floor, where a guardian awaited with power exceeding five trillion. Still, it made no difference.

Then—at last—he stepped onto the ninety-first floor.

This was the Realm of the Ancients.

In the last hundred million years, these ten rankings had remained unchanged. They were called the Eternal Prodigy. The top seven were the Seven Supremes themselves, while the remaining three were the most powerful living beings of the universal realm.

For the first time, all ten of the Primordial Tower’s true masters were watching.

They wanted to see whether a legend would be created today—whether this young man could change history itself.

Standing calmly in the center was a woman radiating ethereal light, soothing to the soul—no oppressive aura at all.

Velentina Kasava—the supreme leader of finance for the entire Primordial Human Race.

Ethan bowed deeply. He knew these ten were truly alive, not merely imprints.

Velentina inclined her head, a gentle smile gracing her lips.

”Let us begin,” she said softly. ”I am watching you, Ethan Hunt. Show me your potential.”

He wasn’t surprised. Their consciousnesses were indeed real.

Then, in an instant, a horrendous apocalyptic pressure descended upon him.

He smiled faintly. Velentina’s strength—two hundred and fifty trillion.

”Senior,” Ethan said politely, ”I’m sorry. In this realm, you are not my match.”

He conjured his sword, though he didn’t need it. Out of respect, he would not strike bare-handed.

Velentina also smiled, drawing a thin white sword, delicate as a cicada’s wing.

”Then let me see,” she said.

Ethan inclined his head. ”Why don’t we exchange our strongest moves? The one who remains standing will be the victor.”

”Agreed.”

They took their stances.

Velentina spoke first, her voice a whisper:

”Eternal Doom.”

She slashed.

”Extinction.”

Ethan countered.

The two world-ending forces collided.

But Ethan’s strike was on an entirely different plane.

Velentina’s body disintegrated without resistance.

Her sword’s slash passed harmlessly past Ethan’s side, fading into the air.

Outside, in every star system under Primordial Human rule, countless spectators forgot to breathe.

Even Earth—Ethan’s family, Rose, and all who knew him—watched in stunned awe.

He had defeated one of the Eternal Prodigy. Even if she was the weakest, it was still unprecedented.

Ethan advanced to the ninety-second floor.

A man awaited him there—Lucas Celestas, Supreme Emperor of the Primordial Humans, ruler of all governance.

Ethan bowed again. ”Your Majesty. It’s an honor to fight you.” Lucas had 784 trillion tonnes of strength.

Lucas smiled warmly. ”I saw your battle with Velentina. Let’s begin.”

”Yes.”

Ethan conjured his sword once more.

Lucas drew a long spear, standing tall, the weapon angled diagonally behind him. Even in the Emperor Realm, his figure exuded indescribable majesty.

They clashed.

Sword and spear collided hundreds of thousands of times in a fraction of a second.

The entire Primordial Human civilization was shaken when they saw the raw power of this battle.

Finally, Ethan invoked Extinction again.

Lucas’s figure dissolved into countless motes of light.

[My avatar will await you at the planetary level. I will not lose again.]

Ethan smiled faintly.

Then—floor ninety-three.

The man who guarded this place was named

Marcus Valor, who stood there waiting for him. Marcus was the supreme commander of the Primordial Humans’ armies. The War Monarch himself.

Ethan felt a suffocating pressure. It was 1.5 quadrillion tonnes of strength. How the heck did they become so strong? Did they also have a system or something?

Marcus was an axe user. They didn’t waste time with pleasantries.

Both attacked at once. Ethan’s sword and Marcus’s massive axe collided in an explosion of blinding light. The shockwaves tore across the tower, rattling the void itself. In mere moments, their weapons clashed hundreds of times in a blur too fast for ordinary eyes to follow.

Then, with a final strike, Ethan’s blade cleaved through Marcus’s defense. The War Monarch’s figure froze—then dissolved into countless motes of light.

The audience—the entire Primordial race—watched in stunned silence. Even when the battle ended, the awe it left behind made their hearts race and their skin prickle with goosebumps. They longed to savor that moment forever.

Dragon smiled,”He is the pioneer of earth. From today onward,he is the supreme ruler of earth. His decree won’t need any voting. Everything he said is the law.”

Ethan then looked up.

Above were the 7 universal supremes. He really wanted to know what surprise this supremes would bring to him. He smilied again.
