Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 182: Chapter 157: Best Couple CP Combination

Because of the endorsement contract, Lin Feng and his group all stayed at the villa.

Lunch was packed at the cafeteria and brought back to the villa by Little Sister Dong.

Gao Hai and Yang Fan finished their lunch in three minutes and returned to their busy work.

Five o’clock in the afternoon.

”Brother Feng, 29 endorsement contracts have been signed. The payment will be made before midnight, and the contracts will officially take effect.”

Yang Fan rotated his sore neck left and right, let out a long breath, and said to Lin Feng.

”Twenty-nine endorsements, what’s the total amount?”

”After tax, the lowest is eighty-five million yuan for two years, the highest is one hundred and twenty million for two years; 29 endorsement contracts, a total of one billion, eight hundred twelve million, four hundred thousand.”

Yang Fan calculated for a moment, then spoke.

”If not for the two-year contract limit, there would be even more contracts.”

Many big companies and major corporations only signed Lin Feng because they’re betting on his future.

But Lin Feng insisted that endorsements must be a two-year contract.

After two years, if they want to renew, the endorsement fee has to rise by one hundred percent, which means every two years, the fee doubles.

This is something that a lot of companies who want to bet on him but lack economic strength simply can’t afford.

Even though Lin Feng is now very famous and has national attention, in the next three years, he actually can’t bring that much fan effect.

After all, he’s still too weak.

He at least has to wait until three years later, when he joins the National University Glory League, for it to matter. By then, the endorsement fee will have already passed one hundred million.

And for Lin Feng to really enter the Glory Professional Alliance and become a pro player, it’ll take at least six years.

In six years, the endorsement fee will have doubled twice, which is more than most companies can handle.

Of course, for big conglomerates and major companies, with Lin Feng’s potential and growth, it’s not too much.

Compared to real Glory All-Star players, this is actually cheap, and totally acceptable.

Also, it’s precisely Lin Feng’s two-year contract, with doubling endorsements, this harsh condition, that actually made many big companies who were originally wary or doubtful feel reassured.

No one’s an idiot!

Even if you’re on the Glory Rookie List, even if you’re the college entrance exam champion, even if you make it to the First Throne, no matter how demonic your Martial Arts talent, Lin Feng still hasn’t refined a Demon Spirit yet.

If he really could refine an Earth Chart Demon Spirit, the value of Lin Feng’s endorsement contracts would be much higher than this amount.

That’s what made so many companies suspicious before.

But if Lin Feng truly can’t refine a Demon Spirit, or can only refine a low-level one, and just wants to score a big contract, he could totally do five-year or ten-year contracts.

With two-year contracts, if Lin Feng isn’t valuable by then, they can simply not renew.

Nowadays, a lot of geniuses who make it onto the Glory Rookie List all take long-term contracts.

If you’re betting on the future of a genius, the endorsement fee is basically paid all at once.

Ten years, fifteen years, some even get lifelong endorsements.

If it’s that kind of long-term deal, even though the time is longer, because it’s paid at once, the endorsement fee is way higher, several times the difference.

Some companies are really optimistic about Lin Feng’s future, or are just testing the waters, and wanted to sign him to a twenty-year, seven-hundred million contract. All were refused with no room for negotiation.

Although Lin Feng’s move is a bit strange and contradictory, for two years and less than a hundred million per endorsement, big groups and major corporations are still willing to take the gamble.

Even if they lose, they won’t feel very bad about it.

Yang Fan and the others are also a little suspicious, but Lin Feng doesn’t say his reasons, so they don’t dare to ask much.

Right now, no one understood Lin Feng’s tricky play!

.....

Eleven thirty, Juxing Club Guanglin Division.

At this moment, the Juxing branch is brightly lit.

Even though it’s already so late, not a single one of the thirty staff members is missing; all voluntarily stayed to work overtime.

Not that they had a choice.

Because today both the boss of the Juxing branch and the executives from Shangjing are in the meeting room.

”Are we staying up all night? I had plans to watch a midnight movie with my girlfriend tonight!”

The employees pretended to work earnestly, but their eyes kept sneaking glances at the tightly closed meeting room door.

”I heard they’re discussing Lin Feng?”

”Seriously? The media went crazy today, out of ten stations, three ran reports about Lin Feng.”

”Guanglin News Channel was even wilder, they analyzed and commented for three whole hours. Still a college freshman, but getting All-Star player treatment.”

”Next episode of the Glory Rookie List, I’m afraid Lin Feng might break into the top hundred!”

”Top hundred? At least top fifty!”

”Is Lin Feng really going to join Juxing?”

”Not necessarily. I heard Wind-Grabbing is hell-bent on getting him, they’re even talking tough. Guanglin is Fenghuo Team’s turf, and Thunder is Lin Feng’s local team. Our Juxing doesn’t have much of an advantage, not sure we’ll win him over!”

”Makes sense!”

”If Lin Feng does join, will he and Ya Ge get back together? Handsome guy, beautiful girl, both so gifted—that’d be the shiniest couple in Glory Alliance!”

.....

In the meeting room.

The oval table that could seat 20 contained only three people.

”I think Lin Feng does intend to join Juxing Club.”

Zhang Ling frowned slightly, the smell of smoke in the meeting room made her uncomfortable.

Of the other two people in the room, one was the head of the Guanglin branch, about the same status as her, so she didn’t care.

The other was a senior executive from the Shangjing HQ, whose status was much higher; even though she felt suffocated from the smoke, she didn’t dare complain.

”Do you have any solid reasons?” Wu Cailiang asked solemnly, a cigarette dangling from his mouth.

As one of the three heads of Juxing Shangjing HQ’s rookie department, he’d arrived in Guanglin three days ago.
