”What do you mean? It means that I deliberately set you up!”

Through the receiver, Sun Jiayu’s voice became sinister, ”Yè Tiānmíng, I’m telling you, if you don’t want to be ruined, if you don’t want the Ye Family to be ruined, hand over the secret formula of Yunshang Lurong, and then send those two women, Ye Jingyi and Yè Yùwǎn, to my bed. Otherwise, your Ye Family might as well wait for bankruptcy!”

”This, how is this possible?” Yè Tiānmíng shouted in anger.

”Dudu... Dudu...”

Sun Jiayu hung up the phone directly.

Staring at the phone emitting a busy tone, Yè Tiānmíng’s face was filled with despair as he slumped back onto the sofa.

”Tian Ming, what the hell is going on?” Ye Jianchang also panicked and yelled.

Yè Tiānmíng said with a lifeless look in his eyes, ”It’s Sun Jiayu, he outsmarted me, the whole investment plan was his scheme!”

”What?” Ye Jianchang was shocked and grabbed Yè Tiānmíng by the collar, lifting him up, ”What about our funds? Our hundreds of millions?”

Yè Tiānmíng said in despair, ”Gone! It’s all gone! The Ye Family is finished!”

”Damn it!”

Slap!

Ye Jianchang roared in rage and slapped Yè Tiānmíng across the face, sending him tumbling back onto the sofa.

”You idiot! You’ve destroyed our Ye Family!” Ye Jianchang shouted furiously, kicking Yè Tiānmíng violently.

Bang, bang, bang!

Yè Tiānmíng remained motionless, curled up on the sofa, letting his father vent his rage.

With the sound of a door opening, hearing the commotion outside, Grandpa Ye and Grandma Ye rushed out.

”What are you doing?!”

Seeing Ye Jianchang beating his own grandson, Grandma Ye shouted and pushed Ye Jianchang away.

Ye Jianchang, enraged, pointed at Yè Tiānmíng and said, ”Let him tell you himself!”

Yè Tiānmíng broke down crying, ”Grandma, Grandpa, the Ye Family is finished! It’s all over! The investment failed, that bastard Sun Jiayu swindled us, all our funds are gone!”

Grandma Ye was stupefied, staring at Yè Tiānmíng, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing, ”This, is this true?”

Yè Tiānmíng shouted while crying, ”It’s true! Grandma, I was swindled!”

Thump! Grandma Ye’s eyes rolled back, and she fainted on the spot.

”Wife!” Grandpa Ye hurriedly stepped forward to support Grandma Ye, then turned to Ye Jianchang, ”What are you standing there for? Now’s not the time to hold Tian Ming responsible. Notify the family to have a meeting; we need to figure this out together!”

”Oh, okay!” Ye Jianchang nodded repeatedly and took out his phone to start making calls.

...

The Ye family members were summoned to the Ye Family conference room by Ye Jianchang’s call.

”Big brother, what’s happened?” Ye Jianmin, seeing the serious expressions of Ye Jianchang, Grandpa Ye, and others, felt a sense of foreboding.

The Ye family members all looked at Ye Jianchang with puzzled eyes.

Ye Jianchang didn’t speak and glared at Yè Tiānmíng, who was sitting beside him.

With a pale face, Yè Tiānmíng looked at Ye Jianmin and the others and stammered, ”The investment... the investment failed, our funds... all lost! The Ye Family now... has a broken capital chain!”

”What?! How did this happen?”

The members of the Ye Family were all astonished, and Ye Jianmin urgently asked.

Yè Tiānmíng said dejectedly, ”I was tricked by Sun Jiayu, the investment was a trap from the very beginning!”

”Yè Tiānmíng, you bastard, are you trying to kill us?”

”You’re pushing the family into the fire!”

”How could the investment fail? Did you do something on the sly? Just because Sun Jiayu tricked you, you jumped into the trap?”

”This is your responsibility, you must be held accountable. The funds were lost under your watch, you have to get them back!”

All members of the Ye Family panicked, furiously blaming Ye Tianming.

Ye Jianchang sat there with a sullen face, not speaking up for Ye Tianming, while Ye Tianming himself sat in the chair, his face pale, his hands clutching his head, allowing everyone’s accusations to wash over him.

”I propose, strip Ye Tianming of all his rights, forbid him from interfering in any family affairs, forbid him from using a single penny of the family’s money!” a member of the Ye family shouted.

”Agreed!”

”I agree! If we let him interfere again, the Ye family will be completely ruined!”

”Right, strip him of everything!”

A crowd of Ye family members vociferously echoed in agreement.

Ye Tianming panicked, looking at the members of the Ye family, he frantically said, ”Give me one more chance, just one chance. I will plead with the Sun Family, and it will succeed, I can get the funds back!”

”Give you another chance? Another chance and our Ye family will be utterly destroyed by you!”

”Exactly, we can’t give you another chance!”

”Get out of the family right now!”

A throng of Ye family members roared.

”Enough!” Ye Jianchang bellowed, silencing the quarreling crowd, ”Give Tianming one more chance, let him try.”

”We can’t let him try again!”

”Exactly, if we let him try again our Ye family will be finished!”

”Big brother, you can’t keep protecting him!”

Members of the Ye family protested one after another.

Slap!

”Shut up!” Ye Jianchang fiercely slammed the table, glaring at the members of the Ye family: ”Do you have any solutions? If you do, then speak!”

The Ye family members looked at each other in dismay and simultaneously closed their mouths.

”If you have no solution, then let Tianming try. If anyone opposes, then go solve this matter yourself!” Ye Jianchang roared again.

After sweeping a glance over everyone, Ye Jianchang coldly said, ”I called you here to think of solutions, not to shirk responsibility. If that’s all you are capable of, then the meeting is dismissed!”

The members of the Ye family left Ye Jianchang’s home in low spirits.

”Tianming, stay behind.”

Just as Ye Tianming was about to leave, Ye Jianchang stopped him.

When everyone had left, Ye Jianchang said gravely, ”What plan do you have to get the Sun family to help us?”

Ye Tianming hesitated, then repeated the two conditions Sun Jiayu had mentioned over the phone.

Ye Jianchang’s eyebrows furrowed, after thinking for a moment, he said coldly, ”We can give them Ye Jingyi and Yu Wan, since the Ye family’s women are meant to contribute to the family anyway, but we cannot give them the secret recipe; it’s the foundation of the Jinhai Ye family.

However, we can offer a share of our stock for cooperation with the Sun family.

Go now and negotiate. Tell Sun Jiayu that we agree to give him both Ye Jingyi and Yu Wan, but we can only force Ye Jingyi to divorce, then give Ye Jingyi’s home share of the stock to him as a dowry. If he doesn’t agree, then we can just part ways. If he agrees, we will support him wholeheartedly!”

Ye Tianming nodded, stood up, and went to find Sun Jiayu.

”Stop!” Ye Jianchang called out to Ye Tianming again, his expression grim: ”Remember, only the two of us in the Ye family can know about this, understand?”

”I understand.”

Ye Tianming nodded firmly and turned to leave.

Watching his son depart, Ye Jianchang let out a long sigh, ”Yu Wan, it’s not that daddy wants to let you down, it’s that you’ve reached the time to make sacrifices for the family.”

In the end, his expression turned fierce again, muttering to himself, ”It’s all that damn bitch Ye Jingyi’s fault. Ye Jingyi, I want you and your good-for-nothing husband to die a terrible death!”
