Sun Jiayu nodded, ”Actually, it’s your cousin, Ye Jingyi who did it. She was originally introduced to me by your Ye Family, but then she suddenly got married, and to none other than Jiang Chen. This is a slap in my face!”

”That Ye Jingyi doesn’t know what’s good for her, choosing that waste and freeloader Jiang Chen. She must be blind!” Ye Tianming cursed immediately, ”Especially that Jiang Chen, he truly is a scoundrel!”

Sun Jiayu’s eyes lit up as he spoke softly, ”Tian Ming, I just can’t accept this.”

”Don’t worry, Young Master Yu, I’ll make sure Jing Yi divorces that waste Jiang Chen and marries you! That good-for-nothing isn’t fit to be a son-in-law of the Ye Family; you are by far the best choice for Jing Yi’s husband!” Ye Tianming said, pounding his chest.

Sun Jiayu, interested, asked, ”Tian Ming, do you have any ideas?”

Ye Tianming hesitated, then faltered, ”There will be... ways.”

I thought you had some kind of plan, but it turns out you’re just another blowhard good-for-nothing.

With disdain, Sun Jiayu glanced at Ye Tianming and, with some difficulty, began, ”Tian Ming, I do have a plan, but... it might slightly affect the Ye Family, and I need your help.”

Ye Tianming eagerly slapped his chest, ”Young Master Yu, just say the word; as long as it’s within my power, I’ll make sure it’s done.”

Sun Jiayu spoke in a low voice, ”You see, what if we did this...”

After hearing the plan, Ye Tianming first gasped then a fierce look of revenge appeared in his eyes, ”Good, let’s do it that way. When the time comes, they’ll be begging to divorce and marry you, Young Master Yu.”

The two discussed it for a while longer, then Ye Tianming hurriedly rushed back home.

”Tian Ming, how was your day out?” Ye Jianchang asked cheerfully.

”Not good,” Ye Tianming feigned dejection.

”What happened?” asked Ye Jianchang quickly, concerned.

”It’s all because of Ye Jingyi and Jiang Chen.”

Ye Tianming blurted out angrily, ”It was all their fault. At the gathering, they kept trying to steal the Sun Family’s thunder, causing them great displeasure, and they blamed me for it.”

”Scoundrels!”

Ye Jianchang was instantly furious, slamming his hand on the table, his rage sky-high.

Seeing that his plan was working, Ye Tianming quickly complained again, ”Dad, Ye Jingyi’s family has been leeching off the family’s bloodline, and now they’ve added Jiang Chen, this trouble-making waste, to their ranks. They must be eradicated, otherwise, they’ll suck us dry.”

Ye Jianchang was startled, then his face turned grim. Remembering how he also lost face on multiple occasions because of Ye Jingyi, he said bitterly, ”Right, we must drive them out of the Ye Family.”

Ye Tianming smiled sinisterly, ”Dad, didn’t the investment from The Four Seas come through? The contract states that Ye Jingyi is responsible for this project, so let’s just hand it over to her!”

Ye Jianchang, puzzled, asked, ”Son, have you lost your mind? Why have you become so generous all of a sudden? Yunshang Lurong is our Ye Family’s most profitable project at the moment.”

”No, dad, hear me out,” Ye Tianming explained, ”I’m not being generous, I’m currently collaborating with the Sun Family. I’ve discovered they own a pharmaceutical plant. We can use this investment to take it over, then with the Sun Family’s influence, we’ll add some counterfeit drugs into the new products. If a quality issue arises, we can hold Ye Jingyi accountable for it!”

”That’s not acceptable!” Ye Jianchang frowned and argued, ”Yunshang Lurong is also the lifeblood of our family. If you destroy it, we could lose a huge source of income.”

Ye Tianming waved his hand dismissively, ”We’re not talking about a fatal incident, just some allergic reactions or something. Once we force Ye Jingyi out of the family, we can easily recover. We won’t lose much, but we’ll have much to gain, and Ye Jingyi’s family holds quite a few shares.”

”So be it!” Ye Jianchang thought for a moment, then clenched his teeth, ”Alright, let’s do it. We’ll snatch all their family shares and let them fend for themselves!”

The father and son discussed the details a bit more, and both revealed a sinister smile.

...

A few days later, the Ye Family and the Sun Family signed an agreement, directly acquiring a pharmaceutical factory from the Sun Family to increase the production of Yunshang Lurong.

After that, Ye Jianchang personally visited Ye Jingyi’s home.

”Why has Uncle come?” Ye Yanni opened the door and, seeing that it was Ye Jianchang, greeted him with a smile.

Ye Jianchang nodded and walked in, calling out, ”Is Jing Yi here?”

”Yes, Big Brother is here, I’ll call her down right away.” As soon as Zhou Ru saw Ye Jianchang, she quickly stood up, turned her head towards the staircase, and called out, ”Jing Yi, hurry up, your uncle is here.”

Footsteps sounded, and Ye Jingyi came down from upstairs. Seeing Ye Jianchang, she called out indifferently, ”Uncle.”

”Mm.” Ye Jianchang nodded, smiling as he took out a contract, ”Jing Yi, the contract from The Four Seas states that you are to be in charge of Yunshang Lurong. We just acquired a new pharmaceutical factory, and it’s settled that we’ll hand the manager position over to you.”

Ye Jingyi was stunned for a moment, looking at Ye Jianchang in surprise. Although the contract from The Four Seas indeed stated that she was the person in charge, Uncle’s family had always been controlling Yunshang Lurong, and she had only been given a nominal title. Now, unexpectedly, they were truly entrusting the manager position to her, even bringing the contract over, which left Ye Jingyi feeling incredulous.

”Alright, I’ve brought the contract. I’m leaving now; don’t forget to sign it!” Ye Jianchang smiled, stood up, and left Ye Jingyi’s home.

Ye Jingyi watched Ye Jianchang leave, dumbfounded, then picked up the contract to look at it. It really was the manager contract for Yunshang Lurong, which made her frown.

”Oh my, our family is really going to make a fortune!”

Zhou Ru and Ye Yanni were overjoyed upon seeing the contract, as if they had seen a mountain of gold.

Then, Zhou Ru snatched the contract and said with greed written all over her face, ”Jing Yi, you are already the General Manager of Sihai Entertainment. Leave this new responsibility to us.”

Ye Yanni chimed in, ”Exactly, you just focus on being a good General Manager. We’ll take care of Yunshang Lurong.”

Before Ye Jingyi could react, Zhou Ru and the other quickly signed their names on the contract.

Ye Jingyi opened her mouth to say something, but Zhou Ru pushed her, ”Hurry up and go to work, no dawdling.”

”That’s right, hurry up!” Ye Yanni echoed, immediately leaving home with Zhou Ru.

Ye Jingyi glanced at their retreating backs, shook her head helplessly, got up, changed her clothes, and rushed to Sihai Entertainment.

In just a few days, the new pharmaceutical factory had already started production.

And Zhou Ru and Ye Yanni had become the managers of the new Yunshang Lurong factory and began to use their authority to take many products home for their own use.

Meanwhile, Jiang Chen was discharged from the hospital that day and returned home with Ye Jingyi accompanying him.

As Jiang Chen entered the house, he smelled a medicinal scent and wrinkled his brow, ”What is this medicine?”
