Martial Dao: Peace by Force

Chapter 237: Chapter 166: Annihilate! Emptying the Secret Palace Base

’Just who the hell are these guys!!!!’

”Ah Ze! I’m here to help you!”

Zhai Jia scrambled to his feet, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and charged forward again. Lunging in from the side, he threw a punch at the bald-headed brute’s head.

The bald-headed brute didn’t even turn his head, simply clenching his left hand into a fist and throwing a backhand punch to meet the attack!

”BANG!!!”

The two fists collided, and the air seemed to crackle, releasing a teeth-grinding sound.

Zhai Jia let out a muffled grunt, his entire arm trembling. He gritted his teeth, however, and resolutely held his ground. Although his opponent’s Cultivation was on par with his, the man’s Horizontal Training was far superior.

Wan Ze seized the opportunity, slamming a punch toward the bald-headed brute’s abdomen.

The bald-headed brute’s expression flickered. It was too late to bring his blade back to defend; all he could do was twist his body aside to dodge...

But he was half a beat too slow!

THUD!

Wan Ze’s punch landed squarely on his waist, causing him to stagger.

”You’re courting death!”

The bald-headed brute roared in fury, forcing Wan Ze back with a horizontal sweep of his blade while simultaneously smashing his left fist viciously at Zhai Jia!

Zhai Jia had no time to dodge and threw his arms up to defend himself.

BAM!!!

The punch smashed into his arms, and Zhai Jia was once again sent flying. He slammed into a tree, the impact shaking the trunk and sending leaves showering down!

”Brother Jia!”

Wan Ze’s eyes went red, and he charged forward like a madman!

Ultimate Iron Mountain Fist! Divine Fist! Unleashed!

One punch! Two punches! Three punches!

Every punch landed with brutal force, all of them smashing into the bald-headed brute’s blade!

”CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG!!!”

The dense cacophony of metal striking metal blurred into a single, continuous roar.

The bald-headed brute was forced back three steps, the webbing of his hand completely splitting open as blood dyed the hilt of his blade red.

But the savage grin on his face only grew wider.

”Kid, you’ve really got some moves.”

He suddenly withdrew his blade and took a deep breath, the vital energy in his body instantly beginning to seethe.

”But that’s as far as you’ll get!”

BOOM!!!

He took a single step forward, and the ground beneath his foot exploded. Consumed by a wild fury, he charged ferociously toward Wan Ze!

He swung his greatblade in a full circle and brought it slashing down!

This strike was faster, heavier, and more vicious than any before it!

Wan Ze raised his fist to block, his face an emotionless mask!

”CLANG!!!”

Fist and blade collided, unleashing a violent shockwave!

This time, Wan Ze’s feet left the ground as he was thrown backward. He flipped in midair before landing, then staggered back three more steps before he could barely regain his balance.

The webbing of his right hand had also split open, and blood trickled down his arm.

”Ah Ze!”

Zhai Jia struggled to his feet, trying to rush over...

The bald-headed brute spun around abruptly and swept his blade horizontally!

Zhai Jia hastily threw out both hands, striking the flat of the blade.

”BAM!!!”

Fortunately, it was only the flat of the blade. If the edge had connected with his arms, he wouldn’t have just been sent flying.

Wan Ze’s expression flickered as he saw Zhai Jia take the hit, but just then, a figure blocked his path.

The bald-headed brute stood over him, blade in hand, looking down at him imperiously.

Blood dripped from the torn webbing of his hand, but the grin on his face was as savage as a demon crawling out of hell.

”Now, it’s your turn.”

Wan Ze said nothing.

Suddenly, he extended a hand.

’The warm-up is over!’

The sword strapped to his back began to tremble violently.

”RRRRIP!”

The cloth wrapping exploded! With a resonant clang, the longsword shot from its sheath and landed in his hand.

The moment the sword was in his hand, Wan Ze’s entire presence changed.

It was as if he had become a sword himself.

A sword capable of cleaving through anything!

Without a moment’s hesitation.

He raised his sword... and brought it down.

Sword Momentum: Splitting Mountain!

His Essence, Qi, and Spirit merged into one. The sword light flashed like a torrent of silver, like a heaven-cleaving axe, as it came crashing down!

The bald-headed brute was stunned. ”You’re... a Sword Cultivator?!”

His mind went completely blank.

’This man killed so many people from my Secret Palace with just his two fists. I thought that was the full extent of his strength.’

’But only now do I realize... the fists were just the appetizer. The sword is the main course!’

’The power in this one strike is enough to kill me!’

’Dodge?’

’How can I dodge?’

’There’s no way to dodge!’

He let out a furious, desperate roar and raised his blade to block!

”BOOM!!!”

Blade and sword collided, unleashing a visible shockwave! The compressed air around them crackled with an explosive roar!

CRACK!

The bald-headed brute’s blade broke!

Half of the broken blade flew from his grasp and plunged into the dirt three meters away, the metal still humming and vibrating!

The bald-headed brute looked down at his empty hands, his face a mask of disbelief.

’My blade... actually broke?’

Just then, Zhai Jia lunged from the side, locking his arms tightly around him!

”Ah Ze!”

He only shouted those two words.

But Wan Ze understood.

The tacit understanding between the martial brothers needed no further explanation.

Wan Ze raised his sword without hesitation!

SCHLICK!

The longsword pierced through the bald-headed brute’s abdomen!

”AHHH!!!”

The bald-headed brute shrieked. Drenched in blood, he struggled wildly like an enraged beast, thrashing his body and smashing a fist into Zhai Jia’s chest.

”THUD!”

Zhai Jia was sent flying. He rolled twice on the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

The impact also sent Wan Ze stumbling back three steps, his sword-wielding right hand trembling slightly.

He could feel the effects of the Soldier Immortal Technique starting to fade.

The Power that had set every cell in his body ablaze began to recede like a tide.

But even as his Physical Strength rapidly drained away, his Five Viscera and Six Bowels felt as if they were enveloped by a mysterious power, like a warm, gentle film protecting his last flicker of life.

”There’s no time!”

’No time to think about all this!’

Wan Ze’s heart sank, and he forcibly drew upon the last of his potential.

At almost the same moment, the bald-headed brute clutched the wound in his abdomen, his expression contorting grotesquely. He looked down at his blood-soaked body, then back up at Wan Ze, his eyes brimming with crazed killing intent.

’He, a grand master of the Refining Viscera stage from the seventh floor of the Secret Palace, had actually been run through by some nameless upstart!’

’This was an absolute, monstrous humiliation!’

”You insolent whelp!”

He roared, and the vital energy throughout his body erupted once more!
