Looking Forward to Another World

”...”

It was a silence that should not have existed.

Even though the battlefield was still filled with noise—the enemies were still roaring in fury, and the sounds of rumbling, explosions, and tearing filled the air—so silence should not have appeared, nor could it have existed, when two overwhelmingly terrifying auras erupted simultaneously from the left and right sides of the transformed Phryne, surging upward like volcanic eruptions and piercing into the night sky, everyone nearby truly felt silence descend in that instant.

It was a pressure like a collapsing mountain range.

It was an aura as though the heavens themselves were falling.

Crimson flames surged and roared.

Golden light shone with blinding brilliance.

Scarlet and gold—two radiances, two powers—rose at the same time from either side of Phryne, pressing down on everyone present as though they had taken physical form.

As a result, all who felt these two forces were struck with shock, and an illusion arose within them as if all sound had faded away from their ears.

”GAAAAAAHHHHHHH—!!!”

Phryne seemed to finally sense that something was wrong, letting out an ear-splitting roar.

”Moan, mighty earth.”

From the deepest part of the massive body wrapped in green flesh, the Demi Spirit that had hatched from the Jewel Fetus seemed to sense the danger and suddenly began chanting magic.

”Rise, rise, rise. Husk of the earth. Sheen of iron. Hammer of the cosmos. May genesis’s pact upheave rock and stone. The sky shall burn. The earth shall split. The bridge shall rise. Heaven and earth shall become one. May the axes of the ether rain down and bring about calamity’s ruin. Your envoy beseeches you, Gnome. Incarnate of the land. Queen of the earth—”

A pitch-black magic circle immediately spread out beneath Phryne.

””What?!””

Seeing this, Hedin and Hogni’s expressions changed for the first time.

As a race born with magic, they naturally understood just how absurd the ultra-high-speed chant unfolding before their eyes truly was.

Combined with the immense magical energy surging forth, these two most fearsome magic swordsmen finally realized just how far beyond normal standards the enemy before them was.

Even the Gulliver Brothers were shaken, unconsciously halting their attacks, causing a flaw to appear in their previously flawless, continuous coordination.

*BOOM!**BOOM!**BOOM!**BOOM!*

In that moment, the vine-like tentacles immediately seized the opening and sent all four Pallums flying.

Meanwhile, the Freya Familia might have faltered, but the Loki Familia—who had already witnessed such absurd scenes before—never stopped.

”Tione!”

Gareth cleaved through several tentacles and shouted in Tione’s direction.

”Got it!”

Tione acted without hesitation.

”My desire that was sunk in the sea, my longing that was nurtured in the sea - the time has come.”

”Shape yourself, bare your fangs, and become a snake.”

”Escape the sea, cross the land, and cover the world.”

”Capture time, stop time, and trample over time!”

Tione began chanting her magic, which was also the only magic she could use.

Its effect was restraint, and its form was a long whip.

”List Iorum!”

As the chant concluded, a whip of magical energy appeared in Tione’s hand. Its entire body shone in royal purple, and as she swung it, it shot forward like a serpent, resembling a giant python lunging at its prey.

In the next moment, Phryne’s arm was bound.

”!!!”

Phryne’s movements abruptly stopped, and the chanting emanating from within her body ceased instantly.

”Nice! It hit!”

Tiona cheered from the side.

Tione’s binding magic, List Iorum, could not only be used as a normal striking weapon, but once it captured a target, no matter what part it bound, there was a certain probability that it would forcibly halt the target’s movements.

Hence, even though Tione had only bound Phryne’s arm, once the forced halt triggered, both she and the Demi Spirit within her would fall into a state of complete immobility.

However, the success rate of the forced halt depended on Tione’s own MAG stat.

In other words, it could fail—and the probability of failure was quite high.

Tione was not a mage, and having been born in Telskyura, she specialized in close combat and hand-to-hand combat, so this magic was, in truth, somewhat ill-suited to her.

For amazonesses, the most suitable magic would be the type that could complement their close combat.

For example, Argana’s Kalima could enhance status, Bache’s Velgus was an enchant-type magic, and even Aisha’s Hell Kaios functioned as a magical energy slash used alongside her greatsword.

All of these could be effectively combined with the amazonesses’ exceptional hand-to-hand combat skills.

Tione’s List Iorum, however, was not suited for integration with hand-to-hand combat, nor did it possess much attack power, which made her rarely use it in battle. Even after leveling up multiple times, she still seldom triggered the magic’s forced halt effect.

In her own words, when dealing with a Monster Rex, out of ten uses of the magic, it would successfully trigger the forced halt only about once.

Clearly, this alone showed just how low her level of mastery over this magic was.

However, after the appearance of the Demi Spirit, following Finn’s suggestion, Tione began training this magic anew.

It couldn’t help that they understood well that the Demi Spirit’s magic was far too dangerous. Finn believed that if they wanted to contend with such an existence, they needed at least one, if not multiple, methods to interrupt the opponent’s chant and cause their magic to fail.

Tione’s magic happened to meet this requirement.

As long as the forced halt could be successfully triggered, the opponent’s chant would be interrupted, and their magic would fail to activate.

At the suggestion of the man she loved, Tione began retraining this magic without hesitation.

Now, upon seeing Phryne begin chanting magic, Gareth immediately issued a warning, and Tione completed her chant at a speed she had never achieved before, successfully activating List Iorum and triggering its forced halt effect.

”Well done!”

”Heehee, just what you’d expect from Tione!”

Gareth and Tiona shouted at the same time, then immediately dashed forward, launching fierce slashes at Phryne’s body.

With the three executives of the Loki Familia taking action, Phryne’s counterattacks were ultimately suppressed.

Just then—

””Now!””

Riezel, engulfed in blazing flames, and Ottar, who had transformed into a ferocious beast, both flashed with sharp light in their eyes.

”OOOHHHHHHHHHH—!!!”

Ottar let out a terrifying roar and, as the air trembled, brought down the golden greatsword he had raised high.

”Sun Breathing - Sixth Form - Burning Bones, Summer Sun!”

Riezel, clad in a mantle of flames, also swung down the black sword in his hand.

In an instant, the crimson flames formed a vortex of fire, while the golden light stirred up a storm of slashes, both surging toward the heteromorph giant from the left and right.

Where the vortex of fire passed, the air temperature rose rapidly, and the ground was instantly scorched to charred earth.

Where the golden storm passed, the atmosphere itself was shredded, and the land was gouged open, exposing layers of red soil.

Even from afar, one could clearly see the torrent of searing heat and the surge of overwhelming power manifesting within the Entertainment District, advancing relentlessly forward.

A few seconds later, the two strikes from Orario’s strongest struck Phryne’s body at the same time and collided with each other as well.

*BOOOOM—!!!*

A world-shaking explosion erupted.

At the moment the vortex of flames and the storm of slashes collided, the entire Orario seemed to jolt.

Countless people were thrown to the ground, screaming hysterically as the shockwave swept everything away, carrying flames and raging winds with it and scattering even the clouds in the sky.

”GAAAAAHHHHHHHHH—!!!”

Within the fiery storm, Phryne let out a dying scream—louder and more deafening than any before.

”Crap!”

”RUN!”

”LET’S GO!”

Seeing the incoming fiery shockwave about to engulf them, Gareth, Tione, and Tiona turned pale and fled without looking back.

Hedin, Hogni, and the Gulliver Brothers also turned and ran without hesitation, though they headed toward Belit Babili.

*Rumble—!*

Extreme violence and overwhelming power tore through everything around them, stripping away the ground once again.

*BOOM!*

Amid this disaster-like scene, at the very top of Belit Babili, a pillar of holy light that seemed to connect heaven and earth suddenly appeared, shooting straight into the sky like a bridge of light.

”A return light pillar...”

All the citizens of Orario, already overwhelmed by the chain of events, watched this scene numbly.

Everyone knew that, at this moment, another god had been sent back.

Needless to say, this departure freed a familia and marked the end of this war.

In the courtyard of the detached residence behind Belit Babili, Bell, who had defeated Aisha, struggled desperately against the shockwave, one hand holding the unconscious Aisha and the other gripping the panicked Haruhime, as he barely managed to steady himself in a disheveled state.

”AARRRGGGHHHHHHHHH—!!!”

Within the vortex of flames and the storm of slashes, Phryne—struck by the two overwhelming forces—let out one final roar, as if unwilling yet also as if relieved, before her body shattered piece by piece and was gradually annihilated.

Before long, the bloated and grotesque giant disappeared completely.

Not even a single piece of flesh remained—she had been utterly eradicated by the combined power of Orario’s strongest.

*BOOOOM—!!!*

By the time the second thunderous explosion rang out, the vortex of flames and the storm of slashes had already neutralized each other through their extreme clash and collision.

In the end, neither overcame the other, as they simply reduced everything to ruins before finally subsiding after a long while.
