Invincible Soul Emperor

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Taking Ye Qingchen’s Head

Liu Haizhou was instantly seething with killing intent, ready to burst out of the door.

Seeing Liu Haizhou’s rage, a sly look flashed in Li Zhe’s eyes.

He had intended to use Liu Haizhou’s fondness for Li Susu to provoke him and thought it would take some persuasion. He never imagined Liu Haizhou would take the bait so easily. The boy was simply too young. Given Liu Haizhou’s status as a disciple of the Heavenly Profound Sect, the Ye Family would certainly not dare to offend him. His intrusion into the Ye Family to kill Ye Qingchen was a guaranteed success!

”Wait a moment!”

The middle-aged man behind Liu Haizhou reached out and stopped him. His indifferent gaze swept over Li Zhe, making the latter tremble. The man then turned to Liu Haizhou. ”You’ve just returned to Qingyun Town. Shouldn’t you go see your cousin first?”

Upon hearing this, Liu Haizhou’s eyes brightened. ”Right! In my haste, I almost forgot to see my cousin. Thank you for the reminder, Master!” After saying this, Liu Haizhou dashed off.

”You must be Haizhou’s Master, Wang Hu,” Li Zhe said with a smile as he turned to the middle-aged man. ”I’ve long admired your reputation. I am truly fortunate to meet you today!”

Despite his smile, Li Zhe’s heart sank. He could sense an extremely powerful aura from the man, who also seemed to take issue with how he had just incited Liu Haizhou.

Wang Hu said, ”Li Zhe, my disciple is concerned about your daughter and has traveled a great distance to help solve her problem. But if you intend to use Haizhou as a weapon, I will not allow it.”

Without waiting for a response, Wang Hu turned and left.

「In Li Susu’s room」

Li Susu was weeping beautifully, while an anxious Liu Haizhou scratched his head beside her. ”Su Su, rest assured. I’ve brought my master with me this time. He’s a deacon of our Heavenly Profound Sect and is quite knowledgeable about Heaven-Gifted Martial Spirits. He will definitely be able to help you reconstruct your Dantian!”

Hope shone in Li Susu’s beautiful eyes. ”Really, cousin? If my Dantian can truly be reconstructed, I am willing to follow you and serve as your handmaiden for the rest of my life. My heart will never waver!”

Hearing this, a wave of heat surged through Liu Haizhou. He turned to Wang Hu. ”Master, I’ll have to trouble you to examine Su Su’s condition.”

Wang Hu nodded, stepped forward, and after a meticulous examination that took a full hour, he finally spoke. ”Although the Dantian is destroyed, the Heaven-Gifted Martial Spirit is still there. It can indeed be reconstructed, but it’s quite tricky. I will need two months to prepare some special medicinal ingredients.”

”That’s wonderful!” An expression of immense joy lit up Li Susu’s face.

As long as there was a chance to reconstruct her Dantian and resume cultivating, she would gladly wait. Never mind two months—she would even wait two years!

But then, thinking of something, Li Susu’s eyes darkened. ”Alas, just thinking of that bastard Ye Qingchen... He humiliated me and destroyed my Dantian, yet he’s out there enjoying his freedom without anyone to bring me justice. It makes me so miserable I constantly think about ending it all...”

Before Li Susu could finish, Liu Haizhou covered her mouth. ”Who says no one will get you justice? Don’t even think about such things! I’ll go to the Ye Family right now and kill Ye Qingchen for you!”

Having said that, Liu Haizhou looked toward Wang Hu. ”Master, I hope you will lend me your strength!”

Liu Haizhou, currently at the peak of the Ninth-Layer Martial Apprentice, was confident he could crush Ye Qingchen. However, he needed Wang Hu to intimidate the other Martial Artists of the Ye Family.

Seeing the impatient Liu Haizhou, Wang Hu sighed internally. His disciple was undeniably talented but too naive and impulsive, easily swayed by others. Still, the purpose of this trip was to resolve Liu Haizhou’s emotional entanglement. If they didn’t kill that boy, Ye Qingchen, Wang Hu feared it would become a Heart Demon, hindering his disciple’s future growth. He’s just a piece of trash from a minor family. Killing him is no big deal!

Wang Hu nodded, consenting to Liu Haizhou’s request.

Liu Haizhou was overjoyed. He looked at Li Susu. ”Su Su, just wait here for a little while. I will return with Ye Qingchen’s head for you!”

With that, Liu Haizhou left the room, brimming with confidence as he rushed toward the Ye Family.

Watching the receding figures of Liu Haizhou and Wang Hu, a look of smugness appeared on Li Susu’s face, her pretty teeth clenching audibly. Ye Qingchen, a deacon from the Heavenly Profound Sect has come with his Direct Disciple. This time, not even the Ye Family Head can protect you. Just you wait for death!

「The Ye Family Estate」

Inside Ye Qingchen’s room, a powerful aura suddenly erupted, making the windows tremble. Then, the aura withdrew. Ye Qingchen slowly opened his eyes, which were filled with irrepressible joy.

”Finally! I’ve broken through to the Eighth-Layer Martial Apprentice!”

After continuous, arduous cultivation and consuming more than a dozen Spirit Gathering Pills, Ye Qingchen’s cultivation had finally ascended to another level.

However, just as he began to smile, Ye Qingchen frowned. He sensed a powerful presence rapidly approaching the Ye Family.

The next moment, his figure flickered as he swiftly left the room.

Adjacent to the Ye Family’s main gate and spirit screen was a Martial Arts Training Ground spanning several thousand square meters. The descendants of the Ye Family would normally train, exchange pointers, and spar here. At this moment, Ye Xiao was instructing a group of them.

”Ye Xiaofei, your punch just now was powerful, but you didn’t hit the right spot. If you aim slightly upward, you’ll hit a vital point and double the effect!” Ye Xiao instructed a boy who was a head shorter than him. The boy pondered the advice for a moment before his face lit up with surprised understanding.

Ye Xiao nodded in satisfaction. He then looked around, his brow furrowing. ”Where is Ye Peng? Is that boy slacking off again...?”

Before Ye Xiao could finish, a young man plummeted heavily onto the Martial Arts Training Ground. His back shattered the stone tiles, and he began to wail in pain.

”Ye Peng!”

Ye Xiao and the others were shocked. A tall young man and a middle-aged man strode into their field of vision. They were none other than Liu Haizhou and Wang Hu.

”Who are you? Why did you attack a member of my Ye Family for no reason?” Ye Xiao scowled, glaring at the two men.

”Trash dares to block my way! Hmph. You don’t know your place. Get Ye Qingchen out here to meet his death!” Liu Haizhou scoffed at Ye Xiao and the others. He had come to kill Ye Qingchen and didn’t want to waste time on anyone else.

”Hmph! You dare harm my clansmen on Ye Family grounds? You need to be taught a lesson today!” Ye Xiao bellowed, raising his fist and charging toward Liu Haizhou, unleashing a fully powered punch.

With a look of contempt, Liu Haizhou casually threw a punch of his own.

BANG!

Their fists collided. Ye Xiao was forced back more than ten meters before he could regain his footing, while Liu Haizhou stood his ground, completely unmoved. It was instantly clear who was strong and who was weak.

”Ninth-Layer Martial Apprentice!” Sensing Liu Haizhou’s strength, Ye Xiao’s expression changed drastically. His opponent’s power was far beyond what he could handle.

”A weakling dares to challenge me? Fine. I’ll send you on your way first, then I’ll kill Ye Qingchen!” A ruthless glint flashed in Liu Haizhou’s eyes as he dashed toward Ye Xiao and threw a fierce punch.

This punch carried eighty percent of his strength, yet it was at least twice as powerful as the last!

Color drained from Ye Xiao’s face. He simply couldn’t withstand this blow. Moreover, Liu Haizhou’s speed was simply too fast; Ye Xiao had no time to dodge, let alone raise a fist to block.

Feeling the gale-force wind from the approaching fist, Ye Xiao instinctively shut his eyes, his heart turning to ash.

However, just at that moment—

A figure shot in from the side, meeting Liu Haizhou’s fist with his own.
