Invincible Snake Emperor

Chapter 634: Chapter 603: A Man and a Snake Discussing the Dao Over Tea?

Ever since Tu Xiao’an crossed his tribulation in the Yaoling Mountain Range and was crowned a King on the spot, all the enemies he had faced were high-ranking Demons. Strictly speaking, he had never truly fought against a genuinely powerful awakened human.

Humans had Cultivation Methods and a wide variety of techniques. The Vice-Principal of the renowned Ancient Academy was an expert at the War God (Demon King) level, so he was bound to have some ultimate trump cards up his sleeve.

Although Tu Xiao’an’s current Level was high enough to firmly suppress that rotten old geezer, and he could definitely crush him, he couldn’t afford to be too careless.

An arrogant army is doomed to defeat. It was never wrong to be cautious.

Originally, Tu Xiao’an had planned to show this rotten old geezer some courtesy. But since the man himself had volunteered to get thrashed for three hundred rounds, there was no reason not to satisfy his request.

’This old man is truly detestable, acting as if I’m going to eat his granddaughter. The way he’s guarding against this snake is even more vigilant than guarding against a thief.’

Tu Xiao’an, in the form of an exquisite little snake, hovered in the courtyard. He didn’t release his Snake King aura, afraid that the moment he did, it would frighten the rotten old geezer.

’Hmph, rotten old geezer. Just you wait. I’m going to crush you.’

Tu Xiao’an felt a faint thrill of excitement. Since the other party had initiated the challenge, it wouldn’t be considered disrespectful to that girl’s grandfather.

But a long, long time passed...!

An exquisite little snake remained hovering in the air, but the furious Vice-Principal was nowhere to be seen.

Huh?

’What’s his game?’

Growing impatient, Tu Xiao’an flew back into the villa. In an instant, he saw that the rotten old geezer had changed into plain clothes. Holding a teapot, he sat down before a tea set, his entire being seeming to merge with heaven and earth. His every move was elegant and natural, calm and unhurried, as if he wouldn’t be bothered even if the sky were to fall and the earth to open up.

’The perfect image of a transcendent master, totally putting on an act.’

”Ah, you’ve arrived.”

The Vice-Principal, seated before the tea set, had just finished brewing a pot of tea. He brought it to his nose for a light sniff, his expression one of pure bliss.

Tu Xiao’an was taken aback and nearly replied, ’Yes, I’m here.’

’Damn it, what trick is this old man playing? Weren’t we supposed to fight for three hundred rounds?’

’Did he back out? Did he chicken out? Is he scared?’

’I waited for him in the courtyard for ages with no sign of movement, and of all the damn things, this rotten old geezer is just sitting here brewing tea.’

’Is he messing with me, the Snake King?’

Tu Xiao’an flew into a rage. ’That rotten old geezer is just as I thought—rotten to the core.’

”Your Highness the Snake King, don’t be angry. I was merely playing a small joke on you,” the Vice-Principal said with a smile. He was peaceful and composed before the tea set, projecting the grand demeanor of a master of his generation.

Tu Xiao’an was completely bewildered. ’What kind of game is this old man playing? Did a second personality hidden in his body just pop out?’

’How is he acting like a completely different person? He even called me His Highness the Snake King.’

’This is too weird. Is he trying to give me face all of a sudden?’

’But... hehe, I like that title.’

”Come, have a seat. Sample my brewing artistry. Most importantly, let’s have a proper talk.” The Vice-Principal gestured for him to join, giving Tu Xiao’an plenty of face.

However, the moment Tu Xiao’an flew before the tea set and prepared to take his place, ten thousand alpacas galloped through his mind. ’You’re asking me, a snake, to sit down properly and drink tea with you? Who are you trying to insult?’

’Dead old man, bad old man, rotten old man! His cunning is too deep; he’s insulting me in such a roundabout way.’

’So he went through all this trouble to set out the tea things just to mess with me?’

The Vice-Principal looked at the exquisite little snake trembling in the air, looking like it was about to emit smoke, and smiled calmly. ”I had Shi’Er go upstairs to watch television. It’s just the two of us here now—oh, no, it’s one human and one snake. You can use your Transformation.”

’Transform my ass!’ Would Tu Xiao’an dare to use his Transformation in this villa right now? If Su Rushi were to come downstairs unexpectedly and see his human form, wouldn’t that mean he had broken his promise?

The system would immediately deduct three Ranks. The risk was far too great. Even Tu Xiao’an didn’t dare to cross that line.

If he lost three Ranks, how would he go to the War Relics? His Battle Companion would probably be stronger than him.

Hmph...!

Tu Xiao’an let out a heavy, cold snort. His glossy snake body landed lightly on the tea set, bringing him face-to-face with the Vice-Principal.

With that, the scene became extremely interesting and bizarre. On the left, a small snake; on the right, an old man sitting prim and proper. And now, they were preparing to taste tea...

The scene couldn’t possibly have been any stranger.

”His Highness the Snake King is truly one who keeps his promises. You don’t even try to look for loopholes. I am deeply impressed.” The Vice-Principal clasped his hands toward the exquisite little snake across the tea set, a faint look of gratification in his eyes.

’This snake is quite trustworthy. He said he wouldn’t use his Transformation, and he didn’t.’

It was a good thing Tu Xiao’an was currently a snake, his expression unreadable. If he were in his human form, his handsome face would likely have turned ashen with rage.

’This rotten old geezer is still mocking me. Does he have a death wish?’

”If you have something to say, say it. If you need to fart, just let it rip. Cut the pleasantries. I, the Snake King, have no time to play games with you.”

’This old man is too devious, his schemes too deep. I hate all this beating around the bush. I’d rather just go outside and fight him for three hundred rounds right now.’

And yet, even if a fight did break out, Tu Xiao’an couldn’t bring himself to use a killing blow. For no other reason than this old man being Su Rushi’s own grandfather, Tu Xiao’an had to show him a degree of respect.

’Sigh. It’s my own fault for being a snake who fell for someone’s granddaughter, hoping for a beautiful Human Demon Love.’

The Vice-Principal remained unhurried, a look of complete understanding on his face. The air of a transcendent master was truly apparent, and this appearance actually complemented his status as the Vice-Principal of the Ancient Academy.

”No rush. First, have a sip of tea. We can talk things over slowly.” The Vice-Principal gestured to the exquisite little snake again, and it was hard to tell whether he was supremely confident in his tea-brewing skills or just deliberately trying to provoke Tu Xiao’an.
