Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2273: Chapter 1050: Taoist Heart (2)

Mo Hua nodded and said, ”Partially because of the Evil Path Great Formation...”

”This Evil Path Great Formation uses human blood as ink, human flesh as medium, human bones as pivot, and refines evil power with despair, regret, and slaughter to drive the formation’s operation.”

”Within the formation, evil desires overflow, and there are intangible evil spirits wandering. Once contaminated, one will gradually undergo demonic transformation...”

”But that is only part of it. Another reason is because of the Daoist Heart.”

”Daoist Heart?”

Everyone was stunned for a moment, then they all frowned.

Almost everyone says that a person cultivating Tao must have a firm Daoist Heart.

But the so-called ”Daoist Heart” is nothing more than a vague concept.

The Daoist Heart does not strengthen the Spiritual Root, does not increase the talent, does not accelerate cultivation, does not reduce the resources required for cultivation, and is not a criterion for a sect to accept disciples.

A Great Sect will not make an exception to accept you as a disciple just because you have a so-called ”Daoist Heart.”

Lords of great families will not look at you differently just because you have a Daoist Heart.

If your Spiritual Root is poor, having a Daoist Heart will not make your cultivation journey any less arduous.

If your strength is weak, having a Daoist Heart will still leave you at the mercy of others.

Therefore, the so-called ”Daoist Heart” has no real significance.

Great Sects and great families do not place ”Daoist Heart” in their evaluations at all.

The so-called ”Daoist Heart” is just a ”useless” thing.

Placed in front of them before, they would not say it out loud, but in their hearts, they would certainly sneer at the words ”Daoist Heart.”

But now, having been schemed by the Evil God and trapped in this Evil Path Great Formation, they have personally witnessed all kinds of bloodshed around them, and their feelings are completely different...

Mo Hua said, ”The Daoist Heart is the heart that seeks the Dao.”

”If the Daoist Heart is not firm, a person will be driven by worldly desires like fame, power, and materialism.”

”These distracting thoughts and worldly desires settle at the bottom of the heart.”

”Normally, it may not matter, but once external evil induces them and desires are magnified, the Daoist Heart becomes obscured and even extinguished, and the cultivator may undergo Qi Deviation, degenerating into an ’Evil Demon.’”

”The weaker the Daoist Heart, the faster the degeneration into a demon.”

Mo Hua glanced at everyone, ”The reason why you can still maintain clarity now is because you are lucky not to have encountered significant evil spirits, and another reason is that your Daoist Heart, relatively speaking, is a bit stronger than other cultivators.”

”Those with a weak Daoist Heart have already lost their inner defense and completely undergone demonic transformation the moment they touch an evil spirit.”

A heavenly proud disciple was shaken, unable to accept, and murmured, ”Impossible... We are obviously Righteous Cultivators...”

Mo Hua looked at him calmly and asked, ”Are you... really Righteous Cultivators?”

”Is your heart truly ’righteous’?”

”Do you cultivate Tao for understanding the Heavenly Dao and benefiting all living things? Or is it purely to seek the might of Heaven and Earth for personal gain, seeking fame, power, and the longevity and eternal life of an individual, enjoying immortality and prosperity?”

”Is what you seek truly to be ’immortal’?”

”Haven’t you noticed that ’demons’ seek in the same way?”

Mo Hua remembered the teachings once given to him by Elder Zheng and slowly said:

”You may be Righteous Disciples, but righteous and demonic are inherently one; the so-called demon is not born from the womb or egg but is transformed.”

”The Demon Path transforms from the Righteous Dao and is thus born from your Daoist Heart...”

...

These words made all the sect’s heavenly prides turn pale, their hearts shocked.

They had never heard such words before, and no one had ever told them this way.

Although they may not truly understand what Mo Hua was saying at this moment,

These words, however, were like branding irons, each word deeply imprinted on their hearts.

The fates of many heavenly prides were invisibly rewritten...

They just didn’t know at the time, neither did Mo Hua himself expect...

...

After finishing these words, Mo Hua said no more.

The hundreds of heavenly prides of the Four Sects and Eight Gates and Twelve Streams also quieted down, carefully focusing as Mo Hua instructed, no longer indulging in desires, conceiving killing intentions, striving for victory, or having verbal disputes...

Seeing them all ”behaving,” Mo Hua was relieved, needing to consider the next move.

Mo Hua’s goal was simple: to save all these people.

The formation was still operating, the evil qi deepening, and evil spirits growing stronger.

He himself was fine, always devouring ”evil spirits,” none daring to provoke this ”big cheese.”

If there were any, they would have been ”eaten” by him.

But the others would not last long. If they stayed any longer, once the formation operated to its utmost, evil thoughts deep as the ocean, blood forming mist, evil spirits turning into rain, even the Divine Formation would not protect them; everyone would still perish, including his junior brothers from the Taixu Gate.

Even the elites of the sect, they are still merely flesh cultivators, and the Evil God’s contamination is still too lethal for them.

”But how to leave the formation?”

”Is there anyone ’monitoring’ within this formation?”

”Is anyone overseeing our every move?”

”Who is controlling the formation, and where are they?”

”Is it that Mr. Tu?”

”But where is Mr. Tu, and why has he not shown up yet?”

Mo Hua frowned.

With too few clues trapped in the formation now, he could only reckon based on his experience as the main ”design” and ”execution” Formation Master of a First Grade Five Elements Slaughter Demon Great Formation:

First, there must be someone controlling the formation.

And the person controlling this formation must be a Formation Master, moreover, an Evil Formation Master.

Mr. Tu should be the main architect of the formation.

But the person now controlling the formation may not be him, as he certainly has more important matters to attend to.
