Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 2266: Chapter 1048: Recruitment

Thus, Song Jian, the Heavenly Pride of the Sever Gold Sect, along with his fifteen elite disciples, were all ”incorporated” under Mo Hua’s command.

Mo Hua made a three-point agreement with them:

”First, this is an Evil Path Great Formation, full of dangers and anomalies. Everything must be done as I say. Whatever I tell you, that’s what it is. If you don’t listen, you have only yourselves to blame if you die.”

”Second, I will give each of you a formation. Use this formation to seal the Heavenly Gate of your Sea of Consciousness. Never remove it, or else external evils may invade and pollute your Sea of Consciousness. I won’t show mercy, and whether you live or die will be up to your own fate.”

”Lastly, I don’t want the Spirit Stones and Pills you carry, but all the formation media and Spiritual Ink must be handed over to me...”

The disciples of the Sever Gold Sect felt unwilling, yet somewhat puzzled.

They did not know what the Evil Path Great Formation was, nor what external evils were, and what kind of formations Mo Hua provided...

But Mo Hua remained indifferent and resolute, showing no intention of explaining.

With the circumstances pressing, these Heavenly Pride disciples of the Sever Gold Sect ultimately had no choice but to accept Mo Hua’s terms.

They handed over their formation media and Spiritual Ink, wrapping the Divine Formation given by Mo Hua around their foreheads.

Afterward, the group continued their journey, exploring within the sinister formation.

Along the way, more anomalies occurred. Mo Hua occasionally reminded them with a few concise words.

All disciples of the Taixu Gate strictly obeyed without any doubt, following Mo Hua’s commands to the letter without any deviation.

But the Sever Gold Sect was different. They complied verbally but not in heart. One or two always harbored dissent, defying Mo Hua’s instructions.

Mo Hua instructed them to go left, yet they deliberately veered right.

Mo Hua told them to stay put, but they insisted on taking a few more steps.

Finally, as expected, these two were invaded by blood-colored leeches into their minds, and it wasn’t long before they fell into madness, unable to suppress the killing intent, attacking their companions.

Mo Hua had instructed beforehand that everything must be done as he said.

If done his way, he would bear the consequences if anything went wrong.

If not, they would have to bear the consequences themselves.

In this Evil Path Great Formation, everyone must unite as one.

Those who disobey orders, act on their own, and like to make small moves can easily doom everyone, and Mo Hua will not show mercy.

The more you wish to save people, the more decisive you must be in killing.

Mo Hua’s eyes shone with golden light, and a majestic gaze was cast.

The two fallen Sever Gold Sect disciples were immediately subdued.

”Kill them,” Mo Hua said coldly.

Cheng Mo took action at once, axing one to death, while Linghu Xiao used his Sword Qi to kill the other.

The two fallen Sever Gold Sect disciples were instantly dead.

”Let’s go.”

After the killings, Mo Hua continued forward without any hesitation.

The faces of the Sever Gold Sect disciples turned pale.

They did not expect Mo Hua to be so ”ruthless,” taking decisive action when the situation appeared unfavorable.

But they could hardly criticize.

In times of chaos, severe methods must be used; the more critical the situation, the stricter the rules must be.

Mo Hua had already set a three-point agreement, and these two Sever Gold Sect disciples willfully violated it, truly bringing it upon themselves.

Once fallen into being an Evil Demon, if not killed, there would surely be future troubles.

Moreover...

Just with a single glance, Mo Hua subdued the two frenzied Sever Gold Sect disciples.

Such a method was indeed unbelievable.

The other Sever Gold Sect disciples recalled Mo Hua’s nearly five-strike feat during the Sword Discussion Conference, remembered Mo Hua’s various deeds, and felt a chill in their hearts, showing fear on their faces, not daring to dissent any longer.

Song Jian said nothing either but, to maintain his ”status,” displayed a hint of ”anger” and ”sorrow” on his face, though he secretly sighed with relief.

On the surface, he was a leader among the Heavenly Pride of the Sever Gold Sect.

But only he knew how his ”prominence” was attained.

In regular situations, he could still play the ”big brother” role with his background and means, showing some authority.

But the current circumstances were perilous at every turn, filled with traps, and far beyond his control.

Just like back in the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons when it wasn’t clear, he obediently followed along.

”It’s still more reassuring to stick with Mo Hua...”

Song Jian exhaled a long sigh in his heart.

The group continued forward.

After killing two, making an example out of them, the Sever Gold Sect disciples indeed became much more compliant, no longer questioning Mo Hua’s orders or daring to delay.

They might not respect Mo Hua, but they truly did not dare to risk their lives challenging Mo Hua’s authority.

Soon, they encountered another group of Qianxue disciples at the eastern edge of the withered forest.

Qin Cangliu, the Heavenly Pride of the Gui Water Sect, along with more than ten Gui Water Sect disciples behind him, including Wang Chen.

At this moment, the Gui Water Sect group stood guard in front of a valley.

Qin Cangliu, being calculating and cautious, did not know the details of the Evil Formation but understood the evil nature of the surroundings. He dared not act rashly, thus forming a defensive stance, waiting to observe the changes.

In waiting, they encountered Mo Hua.

Mo Hua’s group, numbering over forty, appeared as a dark mass. Qin Cangliu’s heart sank at the sight. He immediately drew his longsword, imbued with water light, sword moves poised to strike.

Other Gui Water Sect disciples also gathered their energy and drawn their swords, confronting Mo Hua and his group.

Due to the Rouge Boat incident, the Gui Water Sect had grievances with the Taixu Gate.

During the sword discussion competition, they were adversaries.

He also had ”enmity” with Mo Hua.

Not long before, in a battle of Asura, both sides had experienced a ”life and death” struggle.
