Chapter 2063  Chapter 984: Great Demon Hall

Great Demon Hall?

Mo Hua was a bit stunned, then slowly nodded.

Back when the Demon Sect was being annihilated, he had consulted the archives of the Taoist Court and Taixu Gate about the origins of the Demon Sect, and he knew these three characters ”Great Demon Hall.”

The end of evil cultivation is the demon cultivator of skill transmission.

The end of demon cultivators is the demon sect of path transmission.

And the end of the demon sect, led by the Demon Monarch, surpassing millions, rearing countless ”blood slaves” and ”spirit slaves,” consuming people to the bone, monopolizing everything, is the ”Great Demon Hall”...

But the Great Demon Hall is too distant now, and many people have forgotten.

Elder Zheng solemnly said, ”More than twenty thousand years ago, before the Taoist Calendar Year One, the Taoist Court had yet to unify, the Cultivation World was chaotic, and it was all darkness.”

”At that time, ruling the entire Cultivation World was the ʼGreat Demon Hallʼ that dominated thousands of demon sects.”

”The Great Demon Hall covered the heavens with one hand, the Demon Path was rampant to the extreme, countless demon sects stood tall, and demon cultivators were spread across the world.”

”Corpse cultivators refined corpses, blood cultivators sucked blood, monster cultivators ate flesh, evil cultivators replenished from others, demon cultivators refined souls,... it was truly a bloody ʼsurvival of the fittest.ʼ”

”Demonic Qi covered the sky, and blood stained the earth red... countless small cultivators were killed, slaughtered, plundered, raised as slaves, refined as furnaces, swallowed alive, and had their souls extracted and spirits refined...”

”Coupled with various natural disasters, evil spirits proliferated, and thousands upon thousands of cultivators died one after another.”

”The cultivator population sharply declined, the human raceʼs power drastically waned, barren lands for thousands of miles, devoid of human presence, nearly reaching the brink of extinction.”

”In this time of crisis, righteous cultivators hardened their hearts through suffering, brightened their aspirations with the Great Dao, passionately pursued the righteous path, wielding their cultivation to slay all the worldʼs monsters, evils, and corpse demons, carving out a square and upright righteous path in the thorny world.”

”Thereafter, righteous sects emerged one after another, and the power of the Righteous Dao grew step by step.”

”All righteous cultivators firmly held their Taoist hearts, taking on the duty of exterminating demons and safeguarding the Dao.”

”Over thousands of years, countless righteous predecessors shed their heads and spilled their hot blood, risking their lives to cut through brambles and thorns, eventually exterminating the demon cultivators in this world.”

”Those demon heads and ancestors, whose evil power soared to the heavens and whose arrogance knew no bounds, were also forced to lower their flags and hide in the world.”

”The remaining demon path remnants can only hide in dark corners, struggling to survive.”

”The world is clear and bright, and then the Taoist Court was established, unifying the Nine States, upholding the Taoist Law, promoting righteous practices, burning and prohibiting all demon path cultivation techniques and texts, and thus there has been over twenty thousand years of peace and propagation in the Cultivation World, along with the countless cultivators and the flourishing Nine States of today...”

”As for the Great Demon Hall steeped in crimes beyond measure, and the countless cultivators, that period of tragic, sorrowful, blood-stained history, over twenty thousand years of time have gradually been obliterated in the long river of history within the Cultivation World, and few remember, with nearly no one mentioning it...”

When speaking of these matters of Tao cultivation, Elder Zhengʼs tone was impassioned, with endless emotion.

Mo Hua listened, his mind also surging.

But then, he couldnʼt help but feel a bit puzzled, not understanding why Elder Zheng suddenly mentioned these things to him.

Elder Zheng looked at Mo Hua, asking a question:

”Mo Hua, do you think the ʼdemonsʼ in this world can be completely eradicated?”

Mo Hua frowned, pondered for a moment, and shook his head:

”As long as the human heart has greed, anger, ignorance, desire, and obstacle, ʼdemonsʼ will arise.”

”Demons originate from people, and as long as there are people, there will be demons. Where there are cultivators, there will be demon cultivators.”

Upon hearing this, Elder Zheng nodded with pleasure: ”The human heart will give rise to demons, and if the Taoist heart is not refined, sooner or later, demon thoughts will arise.”

”Once the Taoist heart is not firm, and there are demon thoughts, sooner or later one will go astray, fall into demons, and become a cultivator of demon path skills, a demon cultivator that kills and harms lives.”

”This is from a human perspective, but what if viewed from the perspective of forces?”

Elder Zheng watched Mo Hua and asked softly, ”What differences are there between demon sects and righteous factions?”

Mo Hua frowned, pondering, ”The way of people, losing the insufficient to serve the superfluous...”

”Demon sects cultivate the evil demon methods, slaughter, enslave the weak, drink blood, eat flesh, absorb spirits, and extract souls from the weak... this is ʼexploitationʼ for the life and death of cultivators and the origin of the Great Dao, and this is the sin of ʼHuman Dao.ʼ”

Elder Zheng nodded and sighed: ”Well said.”

Then his gaze focused, and he asked again, ”What about the righteous factions, those great families, and great sects, do they follow the Heavenly Dao or the Human Dao?”

Mo Hua was startled, instantly understanding Elder Zhengʼs meaning, cold sweat secretly started to form within his heart.

Elder Zheng slowly said: ”The great families, the great sects, seize the resources of loose cultivators, exploit their labor, deprive them of their means of livelihood, and then discard them like an old shoe, isnʼt this also ʼexploitationʼ? Only, the means are a bit gentler...”

”But this gentleness will eventually change step by step.”

”The affairs of the Shen Family, you should... be aware, right?” Elder Zheng looked at Mo Hua with profound meaning and said slowly.

Mo Hua nodded.

”This is the most typical example,” Elder Zheng said, ”the lower-level cultivators, stripped of their spirit stones, labor, time, and energy, leaving them with only a worthless ʼremnant.ʼ”

”As a useless remnant, it is naturally only to be discarded, pit killed.”

”But the Shen Familyʼs matter, in the end, was still not ruthless enough...”

Elder Zhengʼs tone carried a trace of objective coldness and ruthlessness:

”Because, they, after all, still retained a bit of ʼmorality,ʼ only pit-killing those ʼuselessʼ mining cultivators they had exhausted.”

”But are the useless mining cultivators really useless?”

Elder Zheng shook his head, ”No, they are still useful. Their skin can still be peeled, their blood can still be drunk, their flesh can still be eaten, their souls can still be refined, and after death, their corpses can still be used for corpse raising...”
