Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 1920: Chapter 937: Wind Pattern (2)

Returning from complexity to simplicity, all the myriad Formations are reduced to their origins.

Only in this way can one fully grasp the mysteries of Formation and truly ask the Dao to become Immortal?

Mo Hua stood still, lost in thought. A subtle aura emanated around him, with traces of the Great Dao’s will flowing in his eyes.

Master Gu, beside him, was shocked in his heart.

He couldn’t understand what Mo Hua had comprehended, but he knew that Formation is a manifestation of the Dao, and a Formation Master is closest to the Dao.

A Formation Master can fathom things that ordinary cultivators cannot.

However, despite this, it was the first time he saw such a profound aura flow during a Formation Master’s moment of sudden enlightenment.

”Are all Formation Masters like this, or is Young Master Mo particularly special...”

Master Gu thought to himself, and wisely chose not to disturb him.

After a moment, Mo Hua came to, the aura around him dissipated, and the glimmer in his eyes subsided.

”Let these children bring their bamboo baskets, I’ll draw a Formation Pattern for them,” Mo Hua said gently.

”Alright.” Master Gu nodded.

Then he instructed the children carrying bamboo baskets to line up and come over one by one.

Mo Hua used the Formation Pen to draw a First Grade Wind Pattern on each of their bamboo baskets.

To Mo Hua, this Wind Pattern was exceedingly simple; with a slight touch of the pen tip, he could complete one in just a few breaths.

Within thirty minutes, all the children’s dirty bamboo baskets bore this bright white Formation Pattern.

A gentle breeze accompanied them.

When they carried the bamboo baskets laden with heavy ore, it wasn’t so strenuous anymore.

After finishing the Formation Patterns, Mo Hua said nothing, only looked at the group of children and smiled gently before turning to leave.

All the children watched Mo Hua.

Their faces were dark, thin, with some hints of timidity and rigidity, but a gleam of hope gradually lit up in their eyes.

...

In the Refinery Shop, the parlor.

Master Gu personally poured a cup of tea for Mo Hua.

Yet Mo Hua was still pondering about the orphans; after a moment, he said, ”Is there no way for these orphans...?”

Master Gu understood what Mo Hua meant and sighed, ”This matter is actually quite troublesome.”

”Giving them more Spirit Stones?”

”It’s not feasible.” Master Gu shook his head. ”The human heart is treacherous. If these children are given more Spirit Stones and have some left over, even just a few Broken Spirit Stones, they’ll be robbed clean immediately.”

”They’ll rob each other. Some adult cultivators will also rob them.”

”There are even some depraved cultivators who will threaten them for Spirit Stones.”

”Ironically, when these orphans have no value, no one cares about them, and they live miserably. But once there is anything valuable about them, and people start targeting them, they live even worse.”

”I also want to give them more food...” Master Gu shook his head. ”But there are too many orphans in Solitary Mountain City. Once this opens up, everyone will rush in, and we simply can’t feed them all.”

”Moreover, my Refinery Shop has only just started to turn around. The masters, disciples, and apprentices under me haven’t even been fed long enough to eat a full meal, so we simply don’t have the capacity to take care of these children.”

Master Gu’s expression was bitter.

Mo Hua sighed.

The human heart is unpredictable.

Sometimes, even the simplest good deed becomes extraordinarily complicated when people are involved.

In this world, doing good deeds is truly much harder than doing bad ones...

Mo Hua thought for a moment and then asked Master Gu, ”Do you have any Formation Masters in the Refinery Shop?”

”That depends on what kind of Formation Master you’re referring to... There are those who can randomly sketch a few Formations, but none that would catch Young Master Mo’s Dharma Eye...” Master Gu said.

”That’s fine; someone who can draw simple Formations will do.”

Mo Hua took out a piece of paper from his sleeve, which depicted a Formation Pattern, the very Wind Formation Pattern he had just drawn on the bamboo baskets.

”This Pattern is a First Grade Eight Trigrams Wind Formation Pattern. In Bagua Formation Method, Wind Formation is quite rare, usually passed down only in Great Sects. But a simple First Grade Wind Formation Pattern isn’t that difficult; just find someone with a basic understanding of Formations and have them practice a lot.”

”Master Gu, have someone learn this Pattern.”

”Hereafter, when those orphans come with their bamboo baskets to exchange for Broken Spirit Stones, draw this Wind Formation Pattern on their baskets.”

”A First Grade Pattern has minimal effect, and thus low spiritual consumption. Just mix a small amount of Spirit Stone powder into the Spiritual Ink, and it will run for a long time. These orphans can afford it, too.”

Master Gu took the thin piece of Formation Paper from Mo Hua, his hands trembling slightly.

He couldn’t help but look up at Mo Hua, whose appearance was as gorgeous as a celestial being, with clear, refined eyes tinged with compassion, and sighed in his heart that there truly are naturally benevolent people in this world.

Moreover... He looked down at the Formation Paper in his hand.

It looked like just a simple Formation Pattern, but Master Gu knew that this was the hardest part.

Using the simplest, most cost-effective way to solve the most challenging problem.

Without extensive Formation experience and a profound understanding of Formations, it would be impossible to achieve.

Master Gu solemnly put away the Pattern, clasped his fists to Mo Hua, and said:

”On behalf of the thousands of orphans in Solitary Mountain City, I thank Young Master Mo!”

...

That evening, Master Gu specially set up a banquet to entertain Mo Hua and also invited the masters, disciples, and apprentices of the Refinery Shop to have a grand meal.

Outside the Refinery Shop, Master Gu also set up a food stand where each child could receive two buns and a bowl of porridge.

Naturally, doing this every day would be impossible.

But since Mo Hua was here, it was an exception, and hosting one meal was fine.

Thus, the inside of the Refinery Shop was brightly lit, and the atmosphere was exceptionally lively.
