Immortal-Exterminating Divine Venerable

”Sinful beast! Even if you are not his inheritor, you have still entered the Demon Dao. If I, Master Pure Yang, were to spare you, wouldn’t I be allowing the world to be plunged into misery and chaos once more?”

With a single slash from Yang Xiao’s sword, the Red-haired Ancestor was dead.

And the Pure Yang Ancestor, who had just furiously ordered Yang Xiao to stop, arrived before him.

He roared in fury.

Without another word, he raised his palm and struck out at Yang Xiao.

This palm strike was terrifyingly powerful.

It was the most frightening attack Yang Xiao had seen since his rebirth.

Even the attacks he had faced when breaking through the 6th Layer of the Rising Dragon Tower paled in comparison to this strike.

Clearly.

The rumors from the outside world, claiming the Pure Yang Ancestor was an existence that had surpassed the Martial Saint realm, were not false.

’He attacks without distinguishing black from white. And this man is called a leader of the righteous path?’

Yang Xiao sensed the threat and scoffed internally, but he remained fearless.

He swung the sword in his hand with all his might.

CLANG!

Before the Sword Wave could even form, it was obliterated by the Pure Yang Ancestor’s terrifyingly scorching Palm Force. At the same time, a force of supreme purity and firmness surged toward Yang Xiao’s body.

’What pure Palm Power! Vajra Indestructible, activate!’

Yang Xiao’s expression changed.

While marveling inwardly, he immediately activated his Vajra Indestructible Body.

A glazed, colored radiance flashed, just as the Pure Yang Ancestor’s Palm Power slammed into his body.

CRACK!

Yang Xiao was sent flying.

Even with the Vajra Indestructible Body activated, the power of this palm strike was too immense.

Fortunately, however, he wasn’t injured.

So, a moment later, Yang Xiao stood up again.

”Hm?”

Seeing this, the Pure Yang Ancestor’s expression changed.

He had already used the full force of his power in that one strike.

And yet, it seemed he hadn’t injured the young man before him at all.

This was simply unbelievable.

’What kind of technique is this? The Supreme Yang and Firmness... it seems somewhat similar to my Pure Yang lineage’s Pure Yang Infinite Golden Body.’

The Pure Yang Ancestor wore a look of astonishment.

At the same time, upon closer inspection, he also noticed that Yang Ziling was being held in the arms of this suspected demonic youth.

Moreover, when he had been sent flying by his own attack just now, the young man had still used his body to shield her.

’Could it be that this young man isn’t what I thought he was?’

’An evil demon?’

The Pure Yang Ancestor froze.

”Old man, you can take a sword strike from me too!”

But Yang Xiao was furious.

He’d been struck for no reason at all.

Anyone would be enraged.

Especially since, in this whole affair, he was the one who had come to save people, wasn’t he?

He had even saved a member of the Pure Yang Sword Sect.

Yang Xiao raised the longsword in his hand, his figure flashed, and he slashed toward the Pure Yang Ancestor.

He showed no mercy.

His attack was incredibly domineering.

’This sword strike! And the aura on this kid...’

The Pure Yang Ancestor sensed the True Greater Yang Fire on Yang Xiao, and his heart stirred.

He grew even more curious about Yang Xiao’s origins.

But at this moment, Yang Xiao’s sword was already slashing down.

He had no choice but to receive the blow.

He raised a hand casually, thinking he could block the sword.

But the moment they made contact, the Pure Yang Ancestor’s expression changed dramatically.

Because, on that sword, there was not only a terrifying, scorching energy, but also a vibratory power that easily struck the weakest point of his Palm Power, neutralizing it.

If the Pure Yang Ancestor hadn’t dodged quickly, this sword strike probably would have sliced his palm in two.

”Good kid. To have such strength at such a young age... a pity your heart isn’t in the right place. Huh? Ziling’s condition isn’t right! This little bastard!”

The Pure Yang Ancestor’s expression changed drastically in an instant.

Especially when he sensed Yang Ziling’s abnormal state and assumed it was because of some drug Yang Xiao had used.

Instantly, boundless killing intent surged in his heart.

He no longer cared that Yang Xiao had protected Yang Ziling before.

Nor did he care about the Cultivation Technique on Yang Xiao that might be related to his ancestor’s lost Pure Yang Infinite Golden Body.

His only thought was to save Yang Ziling.

And to rid the world of this menace.

”Showing your killing intent? Old fool, then die!”

Sensing this keenly, Yang Xiao also grew enraged.

He activated Star Flash again.

And slashed at the Pure Yang Ancestor once more.

It was blocked.

He slashed again.

Sword after sword.

Each strike was delivered with his full power.

The glazed radiance around him intensified as the Vajra Indestructible Divine Technique protected his body. His True Greater Yang Fire—at the Peak of Eighth Grade and nearly crossing the threshold into the Seventh Grade—was unleashed.

Then there was his Sword Technique, Meteor Fall.

Combined with the Bloodthirsty Sword, it was filled with a shocking and killing power, pushing Yang Xiao’s strength to its absolute limit.

So much so that even the Pure Yang Ancestor, known as the number one expert in the Celestial Cloud Region, was forced onto the defensive for a time, able only to protect himself and unable to counter-attack.

This made the Pure Yang Ancestor smile bitterly in his heart.

’If I were at my peak,’ he thought, ’even if suppressed like this, I could still consolidate my position and find an opportunity to counter-attack.’

But ever since he was severely injured three hundred years ago, while he could still maintain his Peak strength, he could not sustain it for long.

Thus, when facing opponents, he often put all his effort into a single, decisive blow to finish them.

Once a battle dragged on, his old injuries would flare up.

He feared he would have no strength left to fight back.

And right now, he was in exactly that situation.

The Pure Yang Ancestor’s aura.

Grew weaker and weaker.

Soon.

Yang Xiao slashed down with his sword again.

This time, the Pure Yang Ancestor failed to block it.

He was sent flying.

A bloody gash even appeared on his palm.

The Essence Qi and spirit within him seemed to be drawn out, as if about to fly away.

But this feeling vanished in an instant.

Because Yang Xiao had no intention of killing him.

”Old man, can we talk properly now?”

Yang Xiao said coldly.

This old fool had attacked him ruthlessly from the very beginning. If it were up to Yang Xiao’s usual temperament, he would have just cut him down.

But then he remembered that this man was, after all, Yang Ziling’s elder.

So Yang Xiao suppressed the urge to kill him.

And let him off the hook.

However, that didn’t mean Yang Xiao was in a good mood.

He was merely giving this guy a chance.

If he continued to be unreasonable, he would be killed.

Yang Xiao wasn’t one to give second and third chances to someone who didn’t know what was good for them.

”You... you’re not killing me?”

This time, it was the Pure Yang Ancestor who was surprised.

Originally, when he heard the Red-haired Ancestor’s transmission claiming that the Evil Sword Inheritor had appeared, he hadn’t believed it.

But when he arrived, he saw Yang Xiao killing someone with vicious methods.

Although he knew the methods were different from those of the Evil Sword, the Pure Yang Ancestor had decided in his heart that Yang Xiao was a bad person, or at least a bloodthirsty one.

That was why he had attacked to rid the world of a menace.

But later, he discovered that Yang Xiao’s aura seemed connected to the Pure Yang Infinite Golden Body, and he was also protecting Yang Ziling.

His killing intent had then weakened.

He wanted to give Yang Xiao a chance and see what his origins were.

But all of that was wiped away by the later misunderstanding.

The Pure Yang Ancestor, thinking Yang Xiao had drugged Yang Ziling, was overcome with killing intent. He had wanted nothing more than to kill Yang Xiao immediately.

But he never expected that he would actually be defeated.

Defeated at the hands of this young man.

This made the Pure Yang Ancestor’s heart fill with despair.

He had closed his eyes, awaiting death.

But now...

This young man didn’t seem to want to kill him.

What... did he mean by this?

”If I killed you, wouldn’t Yang Ziling try to kill me the moment she wakes up? I went through all the trouble of saving her from Fang Aohan. Am I supposed to become her enemy now just because of some old fool like you who can’t tell right from wrong?”

Yang Xiao had a look of utter disdain.

When these words were spoken, the Pure Yang Ancestor’s face burned with shame.

’So, I misunderstood this young man.’

’But even if it was a misunderstanding, you still shouldn’t have killed so many people, should you?’

In normal times, the Pure Yang Ancestor would have definitely said this.

But now... he didn’t have the face for it.

Because he couldn’t defeat Yang Xiao.

What right did he have to lecture him?

But to make him admit he was wrong... The Pure Yang Ancestor was too proud to do so.

And just then, a multitude of powerful auras surged in from all directions.

One of them was the most powerful of all.

It was none other than the Pure Yang Ancestor’s old rival, Xuan Tianxin, the ancestor of the Profound Celestial Sect.

The moment he arrived, he took one look at the Pure Yang Ancestor and burst into laughter. ”Master Pure Yang, you’re actually injured? And your Celestial Yang Sword doesn’t seem to be with you either! HAHA, what a heaven-sent opportunity! Today, I’d like to see who can possibly save you!”

As he spoke, Xuan Tianxin lunged forward, intent on putting the Pure Yang Ancestor to death.
