I Materialized the Cultivation Game

Chapter 79: Chapter 73: Sea of Five Offerings Flowers! All Blessed by the Celestial Venerable!

No matter what, when the relevant county departments come to inspect, apart from the inspection, the Chen Family also has to make other arrangements, and Chen Han discussed this with his junior sister.

Xiaomi didn’t participate in the discussion between the two senior and junior siblings; at this time, her attention was drawn to the small cow in the yard.

She noticed that although the small cow was lying down, it was actually bringing its nose close to the orchids in front of it, smelling the fragrance.

It was attracted by the floral scent.

Only then did she realize that Chen Han’s yard was filled with a delightful, naturally pure orchid fragrance, which surprised her.

Being someone who likes orchids herself, she naturally knew how incredible this floral scent was.

Moreover, upon careful observation, she found that the orchids in Chen Han’s entire yard seemed more beautiful and appealing than normal orchids.

This discovery compelled her to squat down and take a closer look.

As expected, it was true.

The quality of the flowers, the layering, the aesthetics... in every aspect, they were definitely not ordinary orchids, even those extremely valuable ones might not compare.

After Xiaoyu finished discussing arrangements for the inspection with her senior brother, she saw Xiaomi observing the orchids, and she was surprised too: ”Sister Xiaomi, these orchids seem different, more beautiful, are these still ordinary orchids?”

Even though she thought her senior brother did a great job taking care of these orchids before, making them prettier than the ones in her own yard, she hadn’t been to her senior brother’s place for a while, and now the orchids had completely transformed.

Xiaomi nodded, surprised, and asked Chen Han: ”What did you do to these orchids?”

Chen Han was not surprised that his junior sister and Xiaomi could notice the abnormalities of the orchids, as both were lovers of orchids.

Since he also planned to cultivate the Five Offerings Flower, he made up a story: ”Recently, I have been studying the Feng Shui array beneath the family grounds, and I found in the Taoist sect’s library that Feng Shui can assist in plant growth.”

Upon hearing this, Xiaomi instinctively said: ”Is it like what’s said in the ’Geomancy Dao Record’: ’nurture the land veins, increase prosperity and fortune’?”

Both Chen Han and Xiaoyu turned their heads towards Xiaomi in unison upon hearing this.

Chen Han was just making things up and didn’t expect any mention of this in Taoist books.

The key point is that Xiaomi could even provide an accurate example.

Xiaoyu was both envious and admiring, looking at Sister Xiaomi with a bit of worship.

She actually knows this stuff?

Xiaomi felt a bit embarrassed under their gaze and said: ”I’ve just been reading some books on Taoist Feng Shui online recently.”

Naturally, Chen Han went with the flow and said: ”That’s probably it, Feng Shui has a function that can help plants grow, even causing some to transform, I’ve researched it, and many parts of our Chen Family have such effects, coincidentally, my yard here is one of them, so I experimented using special methods.”

Xiaoyu was surprised and said: ”Senior brother, if that’s the case, can’t we plant flowers in other places too, making them look just as beautiful and fragrant? That would surely attract many people.”

”Junior sister, you’re so smart, it’s time to plant some flowers.” Chen Han originally had this plan, and once again went with the flow, tapping his junior sister’s nose lightly.

Being praised by her senior brother again, Xiaoyu was clearly very happy, smiling brightly.

Chen Han and Xiaomi looked at her, both wearing an aunt-like smile.

This little girl really can’t handle compliments.

”Senior brother, what kind of flowers should we plant?” Xiaoyu had no idea her weak spot had been entirely seized.

”Since we are a family with Taoist traditions, of course we should plant the Five Offerings Flower for outsiders.” Chen Han had no hesitation about this; Taoists speak of the Five Offerings which include incense, flowers, lamps, water, and fruit.

Flowers are one of them, and naturally not any flower can be used as one of the Five Offerings, there are specific requirements.

Among them, orchids, chrysanthemums, lilies, peonies, etc., are splendid choices for the Five Offerings Flower.

Thus, the Chen Family also plans to plant these flowers.

Additionally, there’s the issue of planting area.

Because the Baihua Palace Spiritual Jade needs to be fully replenished with spiritual energy to be used, which can only be done by the Spiritual Energy Flush from the special Spiritual Acupoint at 5:00 AM every day, it can hence only be used once a day.

Experiments have been conducted on the reconstructed fields before, and only the family’s 50 cubic meter pool can be modified for the flower sea irrigation. If we irrigate to a depth of 10mm, according to online data, it implies irrigating once a day can cover a maximum area of 3000-6000 square meters.

Using bulk spraying for irrigation, covering 4000 square meters is not an issue.

Now we’re facing a problem, whether to scatter plant the flowers throughout the Chen Clan Ancient Building Complex or concentrate them in one place.

The advantage of the first option is that the Spirit Plant Dew Water transforms all these flowers, allowing the entire Chen Clan Ancient Building Complex to be enveloped in a single floral fragrance. For tourists, this would be an unimaginable experience, potentially elevating the Chen Clan Ancient Building Complex to a higher level.

The advantage of the second option is that it can provide additional ticket revenue.

In addition to the 100 yuan entrance fee, we can collect an additional ticket fee for the Five Offerings Flower Sea, and place a sculpture of Demon-Vanquishing Celestial Venerable in the middle of the flower sea, claiming that these Five Offerings Flowers are planted to offer to the Demon Vanquishing Celestial Venerable, promising good fortune to those who view them.

Plus, after being transformed by the Spirit Plant Dew Water, these Five Offerings Flowers become entirely different, more beautiful, more aesthetically pleasing, and with a more intense fragrance, not typically seen outside. Once people have seen the Five Offerings Flowers planted among the ancient building complexes, they would likely be intrigued and very much desire to see the Five Offerings Flower Sea.

Furthermore, these Five Offerings Flowers differ from others outside, being so beautiful because they have received blessings from the Demon Vanquishing Celestial Venerable.

At that time, adding some prayer mats outside can give the flower sea a different feel, filled with a sense of sacredness when people bow and pray to the Demon-Vanquishing Celestial Venerable.

Charging a 100 yuan ticket for this wouldn’t be unreasonable, right?

Besides, all this money will ultimately be used to upgrade the sect’s base, which is so charitable in nature, as the system will donate it all.

If there’s ever a need to publicly disclose someday, it will just be that the Chen Family faithfully adheres to the Demon-Vanquishing Celestial Venerable’s tenets of protecting all beings and assisting the weak, doing good deeds on everyone’s behalf, granting merit to those who have purchased the flower sea tickets (merit is not exclusive to the Buddhist sect, originally found in Daoist texts).

And if this were within a game storyline, as the Patriarch of the Chen Family, he could perhaps become a sage due to his merits.

Naturally, having 4000 square meters more of the Five Offerings Flower would at least provide more than ten job positions within the clan.

Ultimately, he decided to have both options, with 2000 square meters used to plant flowerbeds throughout the Chen Clan Ancient Building Complex, and the remaining 2000 square meters to create the flower sea.

This complication in the irrigation system would cost a few ten thousand more.

But, compared to the benefits achieved, a few ten thousand is negligible.

This task still needs to be entrusted to Little Uncle, so he immediately called Little Uncle.

When Chen Lin arrived, he asked: ”Xiaohan, what do you need?”

Chen Han repeated to Little Uncle the story he fabricated for the two junior sisters, and then continued: ”Therefore, our Chen Family needs to plant some Five Offerings Flowers. Little Uncle, you know the Feng Shui array can accelerate plant growth. We should best purchase fully-grown Five Offerings Flowers to ensure we are surrounded by their fragrance before the start of the National Style Event.”

”That will require hiring quite a few people!” Chen Lin’s eyes lit up.

He had personally experienced the Chen Family’s Feng Shui array causing plants to grow faster - previously at the vegetable garden, seeing cauliflower sprouting overnight and vegetables flowering at the same time drove him to distraction.

Now certain that the family has a Feng Shui array, he felt this was already expected.
