I Materialized the Cultivation Game

Chapter 65: Chapter 59: The Ambition of the Demon Cult Demons! A Crystal Stone!

When Chu Hao heard that the Patriarch Chen agreed to let him be the agent of Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea, his face immediately lit up with joy: ”Thank you, Patriarch Chen.”

Chen Han smiled and said, ”Mr. Chu, tell me your thoughts.”

Chu Hao nodded and said, ”Patriarch Chen, my family has some money, so I know quite a few second-generation individuals who spend money like water. I plan to advance a batch of Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea from you and sell it through these people for promotion.”

”Once these people understand the benefits of Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea, they’ll definitely buy it. After that, it’ll be easy because they’ll use this to entertain others, or even show it off to their elders at home.”

Chen Han understood what the other party meant; this was a very simple yet direct and effective promotional method.

Of course, the prerequisite for this method is to have connections within this circle.

At this time, Chu Hao added, ”Patriarch Chen, I have a suggestion. Could you perhaps increase the price of Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea? This tea is extremely good, and its price could actually be a bit higher.”

”For example, the ordinary tea could initially increase to 10,000 per pound, and the premium to 100,000 per pound. I could sell it with a 20% markup according to the industry norms, test the waters first, and after the reputation is established and sales increase, use production capacity issues to raise prices again.”

”Raising it to 100,000 per pound?” Xiaoyu was really surprised. Currently, it’s only 50,000 per pound. Even after being displayed on the online storefront and specially filmed promotional videos, only one purchase was made.

Chu Hao chuckled and said, ”Actually, when it reaches a certain level, if the supply of Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea falls short of market demand, and this product is genuinely good, we don’t even need to actively raise the price. The market will boost the price for us!”

This was something he firmly believed.

Because he had personally tasted Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea.

Moreover, the higher the price, the more benefits he, the agent, would gain.

The more expensive and valuable it is, the more it embodies special value in some people’s eyes.

Once Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea reaches a certain price, is favored, and becomes rare, whether or not he profits from being an agent becomes irrelevant, as it’s no longer about the money.

Not just anyone can have access to such high-end resources.

Of course, maintaining a good relationship with Patriarch Chen is essential, otherwise this Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea could be given to another agent instead.

Chen Han understood what Chu Hao meant by the market raising the price actively.

But what surprised him more was the sudden game prompt:

[The hidden Demon Cult demon seems to know the effects of Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea very well and appears to be trying to raise its value to highlight his own importance. Clearly, he is a highly ambitious person and seems to be attempting to elevate his status within the Demon Cult. Perhaps you can also exploit this to gain abundant resources for the family.]

Chen Han then looked at the demon from the Demon Cult in front of him with a broad smile and said, ”Mr. Chu, indeed, previously the 50,000 per pound was just for a trial period. With official sales, it naturally should be priced higher.”

This demon from the Demon Cult having ambition was a good thing, as it meant he would surely help the family acquire more resources.

He then turned to his junior sister and asked, ”Junior sister, how much Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea do we have right now?”

Xiaoyu immediately replied, ”Senior brother, we currently have over 225 pounds of ordinary tea, and in the past three days we’ve accumulated more than 7 pounds of premium tea. I could have Uncle Dagou and the others gather enough to make 250 pounds of ordinary tea and 10 pounds of premium tea tonight.”

”Hmm!” Chen Han nodded his head and then asked Chu Hao, ”Mr. Chu, how about we start the first batch with 250 pounds of ordinary and 10 pounds of premium?”

”Thank you, Patriarch Chen.” Chu Hao immediately expressed his gratitude.

The two sides reached an agreement, and now it was just a matter of signing the contract.

Chen Han instructed his junior sister to prepare the contract.

Since the transaction amount was substantial and it needed to be very meticulous, they ensured everything was correct before bringing out the contract.

Upon signing, Chen Lin, Chen Dagou, and Chen Shuisheng received word and excitedly waited on the side.

Especially Chen Dagou and Chen Shuisheng, who were responsible for the specialty product department, felt anxious as they had been roasting a lot of Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea but hadn’t sold much.

Now that Mr. Chu had bought up all the Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea, it was absolutely good news for them.

After signing the contract with Chu Hao, Chen Han slightly furrowed his brows because the game system did not prompt the completion of the ’Alliance of the Righteous and Demon’ task.

It seemed the contract stated the first batch was 250 pounds of ordinary and 10 pounds of premium Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea, and needed to be delivered first.

Chu Hao, with a face full of excitement, took the contract and did not forget to suggest: ”Patriarch Chen, I have a suggestion here, which is to change the location for roasting Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea to a more secluded one, or even station guards, compared to roasting it outside which might seem overly casual.”

Chen Han naturally understood this reasoning.

But it wasn’t his decision to make; only the frying pan furnace approved by the game system was effective, which they hadn’t considered before.

While he was pondering, a game prompt appeared:

[You have reached an agreement with the disguised Demon Cult demon. To better secure resources for the family, you plan to ask the Work Hall Elder to increase the number of frying pan furnaces to produce more Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea. However, the Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea has already caught the attention of the Demon Cult. The initial frying pan furnace for refining Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea is no longer safe; please find a hidden location to build new frying pan furnaces and have at least 3 family elders guard it!]

Upon seeing this new plot development, Chen Han smiled broadly at Chu Hao and said, ”Mr. Chu, your suggestion is great. We will indeed be rebuilding the frying pan furnace.”

Afterwards, the two talked for a while longer, and Chu Hao, still smiling, returned to the guest service center with the contract.

Chen Han was the first to instruct his little uncle: ”Little uncle, find an empty pavilion and courtyard in the Chen Family corner, and construct new frying pan furnaces for roasting Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea. Build several of them this time.”

”Previously, the old men helping you were part-timers; now let them join officially. Their salary should be the same as the service staff. Whenever there’s something to do, have them lend a hand, and if there’s nothing to do, they can act as security, looking after the Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea.”

”This tea will surely attract attention in the future.”

”Hmm, I understand,” Chen Lin immediately responded.

Previously when he worked in the vegetable garden, repairing things and such, it was always a couple of elders from the clan helping temporarily; there were no official staff.

As the Work Hall Elder, he was practically a one-man army.

Now it’s better; with a wave of his nephew’s hand as the Patriarch, he finally has a few people in the workshop.

Chen Han instructed Uncle Dagou and Uncle Shuisheng, ”Uncle Dagou, Uncle Shuisheng, you should also recruit a few more people to process the Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea; we’ll likely need a lot of it later.”

”Xiaohan, specifically how many people should we recruit?” Uncle Dagou quickly asked.

Chen Han thought for a moment and said, ”Recruit another 20 people; having 30 should be enough for now, and the salary is also 7,000 a month.”

”Okay, I’ll handle it immediately!” Uncle Dagou said, already picking up his phone to post a recruitment notice in the family group, specifying that it was physical work requiring strength and stamina.

Recruiting 20 people at once made the family group buzz with activity, especially since the position offered a salary of 7,000 a month, which everyone was eager to take on.

Those in good physical condition were already @Uncle Dagou, inquiring about it.

Chen Han was also watching the situation in the family group.

There were quite a few people in the Chen Family group; although his generation had fewer people due to the one-child policy, he was even the only legitimate heir of the main family in his generation.

But there were many in his father’s and grandfather’s generations.

Besides Little Uncle, he also had Second Uncle who had relocated to the city.

In his grandfather’s generation, there were 6 siblings and 28 cousins; each sibling and cousin in that generation also had several sons.

Uncle Dagou and Uncle Shuisheng were among this generation.

As for the generation before Chen Han’s grandfather, it was too many to remember without consulting the family tree; the sheer number of people, plus their spouses, made the family group even larger.

If not for this, the Chen Family wouldn’t have been perfectly aligned in that indescribable disaster the first time.

This was indeed one reason why the Chen Family could protect several villages in the past.

Had society and times not changed...

Not long after, Uncle Dagou found him, ”Xiaohan, the message to recruit 20 more workers is out; some of those working outside are asking if they can return. These people are definitely stronger physically.”

This didn’t surprise Chen Han.

When they recruited 10 people previously, no one asked because everyone knew about the state of tourism run by the main family. Now, offering a salary of 7,000 a month seemed too good to be true for those working outside, and they didn’t dare to easily quit their current jobs.

Even if it was just hauling bricks at a construction site, it was still a means to support the family.

But now, it’s different; it’s hard to keep recent events at the Chen Family hidden from clan members, so it’s normal for them to want to return.

This also meant that he had completed one step of his father’s last wish.

”Uncle Dagou, please handle this matter as you see fit; there will be more positions later anyway,” Chen Han ultimately entrusted this to Uncle Dagou.

Since he and Uncle Shuisheng were heads of a department, they should be granted this level of authority.

”Okay, I won’t let you down!” A smile spread across Uncle Dagou’s face, full of enthusiasm. After leaving Chen Han, he discussed with Chen Shuisheng about whom to hire.

Then, they went to pick bamboo leaves, determined to fulfill Mr. Chu’s order by the end of the day.

Time passed.

Throughout the day, Chu Hao was contacting his acquaintances from the second generation, informing them to come back tomorrow for a treat.

Seeing their eager and curious expressions, he maintained an air of mystery, keeping them guessing.

The phone rang, showing Xiaoyu calling, and he immediately answered, exclaiming, ”The Thunder Bamboo Spirit Tea is ready to be delivered. Great, I’ll come right away.”

Soon, Chen Han’s phone received a notification of a 1.75 million transfer.

This was sent from Chu Hao’s side.

The contract terms stated that 50% would be paid as the first batch of premium tea, with full payment made upon ordering the second batch.

Almost along with this payment notification, Chen Han received another game prompt:

[In your first collusion with the Demon Dao, you were extremely cautious. Although there were plenty of benefits to reap, one false move could lead to disaster. But this Demon Cult Demon seemed genuinely different, and you successfully completed the first collusion, earning a large amount of Spirit Stones for the family. You wonder what kind of gift this Demon will bribe you with!]

[Congratulations! You have received a gift box bribe from the Demon Cult Demon!]

Sure enough, Chen Han saw a gift box lying in the warehouse, with rather exquisite packaging.

[Bribe Gift Box: This is a bribe box from the Demon Cult Demon. What’s inside remains a mystery.]

Chen Han took out the bribe gift box and curiously opened it, finding a Crystal Stone inside, with what seemed like flowing light swirling on it, quite magical.

Upon seeing the Crystal Stone, another game prompt suddenly appeared, causing the corner of his mouth to twitch involuntarily.
