I Materialized the Cultivation Game

Chapter 67: Chapter 61: The Ultimate Feng Shui Array!

The two girls just stared at him in disbelief.

Bonsai as air conditioning?

Even if he’s joking, he can’t just treat them like idiots.

”Senior Brother!” Xiaoyu glared at him: ”I’m talking about serious things here!”

Chen Han smiled and said, ”Junior Sister, don’t rush. You’ll understand when Little Uncle arrives. Watch how I turn this bonsai into an air conditioner!”

Xiaoyu and Xiaomi were even more bewildered.

They had no way to associate bonsai with air conditioning.

”Are you shooting abstract videos again?” Xiaomi suspiciously looked around to see if he had his phone out capturing footage.

Chen Han did not explain further, waiting for Little Uncle to arrive before speaking.

It made the two girls feel as though ants were crawling in their hearts, itching to know what was going on.

Soon, Chen Lin arrived with Chen Dagou and Chen Shuisheng, each holding a pot of bonsai, precisely the bamboo, Hongmei, and persimmon that Chen Han needed.

With societal development, as landscape bonsai progresses, more and more plants can be made into bonsai, and they look very nice.

Chen Lin asked right as he arrived: ”Xiaohan, where should we put these?”

”Little Uncle, move them to my room.” Chen Han directed, entering the attic first while already pondering how to connect the winter warmth and summer coolness +2 attribute with the family’s supposed underground Feng Shui array.

And make his junior sister and Little Uncle firmly believe in the Chen Family’s underground Feng Shui array.

In that case, anything that comes can simply be thrown onto this Feng Shui array.

Seeing this, Chen Lin led Chen Dagou and Chen Shuisheng carrying the three bonsais into the attic, placing them in Chen Han’s room.

Xiaoyu and Xiaomi continued to follow behind. Upon seeing Chen Lin put down the three bonsai, she finally couldn’t help but ask: ”Senior Brother, stop being mysterious, what exactly are you doing? How can these three bonsais turn into an air conditioner?”

Even Chen Lin was stunned by this.

What he indeed bought were bonsais, not air conditioners.

Chen Shuisheng and Chen Dagou were also dumbstruck; what they brought over were bonsai, persimmons, and bamboo. What does that have to do with air conditioners?

So, five pairs of eyes all looked directly at Chen Han.

He smiled and said, ”Junior Sister, I’ve told you about the array under the family, right?”

Xiaoyu was taken aback by this: ”Is it the Feng Shui array?”

Previously, when she saw the vegetables in the garden blooming unusually, she asked Little Uncle, from whom she learned that there might really be an array under the Chen Family, with related legends in the past.

But it wasn’t as magical as her senior brother described; it should be a Feng Shui array.

She believed in Feng Shui since it’s part of Chinese cultural heritage, even officially recognized.

Xiaomi was also surprised to hear about the Feng Shui array.

She naturally knew about Feng Shui, having watched scientific programs about it before. Many aspects of Feng Shui can already be explained scientifically through geography, environment, biology, physics... etc.

But Feng Shui is something not easily mastered by ordinary people, which is why everyone has to admire the ancients’ cleverness, relying solely on the naked eye and handmade tools to achieve so many wondrous feats through Feng Shui.

Especially since there are still some parts that cannot be explained by science today.

Now the Chen Family indeed has such an incredible thing as a Feng Shui array.

Chen Dagou and Chen Shuisheng also looked directly at Chen Han, full of anticipation.

They were aware of the family’s underground array.

Previously, they didn’t believe in such things, but recent events gradually convinced them that the Chen Family was extraordinarily powerful back then.

Chen Han nodded to his junior sister, starting to fabricate: ”Junior Sister, you know I’ve been researching the Ancient Calming Heart Technique due to this Feng Shui array recently, so I reviewed many ancient texts from the Chen Family, discovering that the magnetic field generated by this underground Feng Shui array is not only applicable to the Ancient Calming Heart Technique.”

”Back then, the Patriarch and ancestors who built the Chen Family might have already discovered that the unusual magnetic field here could be applied to Feng Shui, so they constructed the Chen Clan Ancient Building Complex based on the Feng Shui pattern.”

”So, I had a flash of inspiration; if that’s the case, the Feng Shui array should be applicable in various aspects, and I started consulting ancient texts for study, indeed finding useful information.”

This immediately drew the attention of five people, all of them staring intently at him.

Xiaoyu hurriedly asked, ”Senior brother, what is it?”

Chen Han smiled and asked, ”Have you noticed that many ancient architectural tourist spots, like the Forbidden City, Yellow Tower, **zhou Gardens, **zhou Ancient Palace... Aren’t there some courtyards and areas in these ancient buildings that are warm in winter and cool in summer? Especially the courtyard in the Forbidden City, which is very famous, right?”

This made Xiaoyu and Xiaomi nod in agreement.

They are both national style bloggers and have visited many ancient buildings for national style events.

Especially the courtyard in the Forbidden City, it’s indeed very famous.

Chen Han smiled and said, ”Actually, those might also be related to Feng Shui.”

Xiaoyu and Xiaomi were even more surprised, their big eyes clear, curious, and puzzled...

Can Feng Shui really achieve such things?

Xiaoyu couldn’t help but say, ”Senior brother, stop leaving us hanging and just tell us.”

Chen Han chuckled and continued, ”When I was reading materials related to Feng Shui, I was wondering if Feng Shui could construct an effect of being warm in winter and cool in summer. Wouldn’t our Chen Family ancestors who built the ancient architecture know about this?”

”So, I tried to study some materials related to house Feng Shui, and I really found something. By arranging the Nine Palaces of Feng Shui: the main energy temperature variability, the main geographical structural orientation, the main linkage to the central hub—these Feng Shui patterns will give the house a unique effect of being warm in winter and cool in summer!”

With that, he pretended to take out a book about the Nine Palaces of Feng Shui from the side, opened it to a page, and handed it to his junior sister.

Xiaoyu accepted the book and looked at that page, the densely packed words triggered her syndrome of feeling irritable, nauseous, headache, and uncomfortable all over when reading.

She frowned and said, ”Senior brother, what does it mean?”

Xiaomi, curious as Xiaoyu took the book, leaned over to look at it, then said, ”Here it explains the annotation about the Nine Palaces... the main energy temperature variability is the Li Palace, because the Li Palace belongs to fire, the main geographical structural orientation is the Kun Palace, because the Kun Palace belongs to earth, the main linkage to the central hub is the Central Palace....”

Xiaoyu looked at her in surprise, ”Sister Xiaomi, you can understand this classical Chinese text?”

”Isn’t there an annotation from the ancestors in this book? Didn’t we read high school classical Chinese like this?” Xiaomi said, pointing to the annotation location, taking the book from Xiaoyu’s hand to look for a while then saying, ”Here is also a description of Feng Shui architecture, the Li Palace can face direct sunlight in winter, through Feng Shui it can absorb sunlight into the building, achieving the effect of warmth. In summer, under the scorching sun, the Li Palace with a north-south transparent layout can reduce direct sunlight, with wind influx, achieving cooling effect.”

”Xiaoyu, see here, the Kun Palace design is mostly positioned with transparent doors and windows, it can guide the southwest wind indoors, creating a natural breeze to help cool down, in winter the southwest wind is weak, the position of the Kun Palace can also reduce the intrusion of cold winter winds.”

”Lastly, here, the Central Palace suppresses the central hub, linking the Li Palace and Kun Palace, forming a special closed Feng Shui pattern.”

Chen Lin, Chen Dagou, and Chen Shuisheng all understood.

Chen Lin particularly understood more clearly, saying, ”So Xiaohan was talking about the Li Palace, Kun Palace, and Central Palace of the Nine Palaces?”

Xiaoyu was even more surprised, ”Sister Xiaomi, you really understood it? You don’t feel irritated, nauseous, or have a headache?”

”Why would reading cause such symptoms?” Xiaomi shook her head and said, ”Moreover, the ’ancestor’s annotations’ in this book are much more detailed than some high school classical Chinese annotations. Of course, I’m only limited to reading these sentences, I actually don’t understand what the Li Palace, Kun Palace, and Central Palace are.”

”However, using the high school reading comprehension method of guessing the author’s central meaning, I guess these bonsai bamboo, persimmon, and hongmei should correspond to the Three Palaces, as the medium of this special Feng Shui pattern.”

Chen Han couldn’t help but applaud, and also couldn’t help giving Xiaomi a thumbs up, ”Smart, as expected of a top student in the Chinese department, now take a look at this book about Taoist plants, turn to page 45 and see.”

With that, he handed over another book.

Xiaomi, happy with the praise, took that book and turned to page 45, her eyes getting brighter as she read the content, ”The plants representing Li, Kun, Central are exactly hongmei, persimmon, and bamboo, so, by placing these three things in the corresponding positions, can a special Feng Shui pattern be constructed?”

Chen Han continued to nod, ”Xiaomi, now study which part of the room is the Li, Kun, Central Three Palaces.”

Xiaomi immediately picked up the original book on the Feng Shui of the Nine Palaces and read it, ”The Li Palace in the Nine Palaces layout of the house is the central position facing the south, Kun Palace is in the right lower corner of the Nine Palaces, which is in front of this window, Central Palace is at the intersection of the diagonal midpoint.”

Chen Lin also understood, put the hongmei in the middle of the wall after entering the door, persimmon in front of the window, bamboo at the diagonal intersection, he also had woodworking skills, finding the diagonal intersection was easy.

He quickly led Chen Shuisheng and Chen Dagou to place the hongmei and persimmon correctly, and then they started measuring diagonals together.

Xiaoyu watched this scene and suddenly wanted to dig a hole and crawl into it, so embarrassed. She is the master’s personally taught disciple, the senior brother’s only junior sister, and she couldn’t understand this, being outdone by Sister Xiaomi, an outsider.

Isn’t this more embarrassing than the national football team losing to a county team?

But reading really makes her nauseous and have a headache!

At this moment, she saw Little Uncle place the bamboo potted plant on the table in the center, and at that moment, her eyes widened.

Not only her, but Xiaomi, Chen Lin, Chen Dagou, and Chen Shuisheng also all had expressions of disbelief.
