I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1905: 24.166 Sixth Violet Star - Failed Assassination

The ambush on the God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness is something the two never expected. If it’s another student, they would most likely run away to find a way to survive instead of fighting adult people who wanted to take their lives. Though most assassins are registered with the Killing Pavilion, it didn’t mean others couldn’t create their own assassin group.

The two had long sensed the presence of these assassins while they were on their way home.

Hei Anjing spoke in a playful tone. ”Dear Uncle Assassins, come out now~. You’ve been busted no need to keep hiding ba~”

The sound of bushes moving resounds in the area and it’s coming from all over the place. The next moment the two young students were surrounded by men with their faces covered and wearing black all over. Only their eyes were exposed. This kind of clothing is common for assassins from the Killer pavilion to wear.

The Sovereign God of Void and Darkness said, ”None of these assassins is from the Killer Pavilion.”

”What are you talking about? We are from the Killer Pavilion and accepted a mission to kill you, Young Prince Hei!” One of the men in black said.

The God of Destruction then retorted, ”Where are your tattoos then? An Assassin from the Killer Pavilion would never cover their Lycoris Tattoo as it shows the grade of their authority in their organization.”

Although in the eyes of Hei Anjing and Ye Xiajie, this is nothing but a cosplay. There is an easy way for one to realize if the assassin is someone from the Killer Pavilion. They have tattoos on their bodies. It becomes darker the more it is soaked in blood. Currently, none of these men surrounding them had an exposed tattoo on their bodies.

As expected, after Hei Anjing said these words, the assassins realized their mistake and no longer tried to hide their identities.

”Kill them!”

The assassins all jumped on the two of them. Ye Xiajie didn’t make a move and just stood where he was. But he took out an umbrella from his inventory and just waited. Only Hei Anjing who smiled full of excitement made his move and what came after were heads flying and a rain of blood in the area.

WHOOSH~

Before the rain of blood fell on them, Ye Xiajie had covered both of them with an umbrella. Everything was finished in just a few seconds.

”Yue, Yang, send these things back to their owner.” The Sovereign God of Void and Darkness said.

The humanoid figures of Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue appeared in thin air and responded to Ye Xiajie.

”As you wish, Lord Ye!”

The two systems can only watch their master’s figure disappearing from the distance before looking around the headless bodies. The blood rain had longed to stop as it was only the blood from these assassins that fell from on them like rain.

Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue packed up all the bodies and heads, they packed them up like a christmas gift and left it at the gates of the Wang Clan at dawn. The Wang Patriarch who had been waiting for the good news all this time hadn’t received any message from his people whom he sent to kill two brats.

—

At the Wang Clan’s mansion...

The butler of the family served some coffee to the master of the house. The Wang Patriarch keeps on looking at the clock in his office. However, as more time passes, there is still no news that has come out about what happened to those two from before.

The hand that held the cup of coffee kept on shaking as the Wang Patriarch had grumbled.

He said, ”Too late! How come they are not here yet!?”

”Master, maybe something had happened on their way back. The rest of them should be returning soon. When they get back you will be able to hear their reports.” The butler coaxed his master.

They waited for hours until the Wang patriarch finally lost it. It’s already dawn but none of his subordinates, which he ordered to take the lives of the beastmen race’s princes, had returned.

”Where the hell are they? Send some people to search for them! Something so simple and they couldn’t even do it?! How useless!” The Wang Patriarch ordered.

The butler was about to come out and inform the other people who serve the clan to find those groups who were sent out for an elimination mission only for the guard of the palace to come running with pale faces towards them. He was about to report the situation by the entrance when suddenly, he bumps into the butler who is also on his way out.

The butler frowned, ”What’s wrong? What are you in a hurry for?” He noticed that this guard was covered in cold sweat and his face was pale as if he had seen something scary.

”P-Patriarch. I must report something to the master of the house!” The guard said.

The Wang Patriarch whose anger had just faded overheard the conversation between the butler and the guard through the slightly opened door which the butler failed to close when he went out.

”What the hell is wrong? Why do you look so frightened?” The Wang Patriarch asked.

The guard upon seeing the master immediately reported, ”Patriarch, a huge gift box was found at the entrance of the mansion. It just suddenly appeared there. When the guard checked on it, the thing inside was... was...”

The guard suddenly started trembling so badly which left the butler and the Wang Patriarch bewildered.

The butler said, ”Stop wasting time! What’s in the box?!”

”B-Bodies... Dismembered bodies of our family’s assassination team,” The guard answered.

This time the Wang Patriarch and the old butler beside him were stunned. They had never expected that the team they are so proud of and sent to kill just two children would return to their side in the form of dismembered bodies. However, before the Wang Patriarch could even sit down to relax they heard a maid run down from the upper floors with a white face and even fell down on her way down the stairs as she was running away.

Thud!

”What the hell is it this time!?” Bellowed the Wang Patriarch questioned.

The maid which was held by the other servants of the house brought her over to the patriarch. One can see the fear in this lady’s eyes as if she had seen something disturbing that she couldn’t even control the shaking of her whole body.

”There... There...”

”What the hell is it?! Speak!!” The Wang patriarch said.

The maid fell boneless on the ground and said, ”Heads! The young masters are holding human heads in their sleep!”

This news terrified the old patriarch but still ran to check on his son. As soon as he opened the door to his eldest son and the old butler who checked the young master, they were welcomed with two young men sleeping deeply while holding two heads, freshly cut with blood still fresh. Moreover, they recognize the identities of these men.

The old butler said, ”Master, these two are part of the assassination team we had sent out before. The whole palace is guarded but no one saw how the box at the gates came about. Also... not even the young masters woke up when they were moved to hold these heads.”

”Master, this is... a warning from them (Beastmen). They knew it was us who sent these people to assassinate their princes. What... What should we do next?”

The current situation left the Wang Patriarch terrified and speechless. Since no guards even saw a shadow who might have done this, meant that’s how skilled the opponents are. They were even able to come inside the mansion, making his son hold the heads without waking them up. This shows how skilled whoever that man did all this. If they truly wanted to kill them all in their sleep, it wouldn’t be hard for the other side to do so at all.

The Wang Patriarch sighed, ”This is a warning and a threat as well.”

The atmosphere in the area turned silent and tense. Just the fact that these people can intrude in the mansion without anyone noticing at all shows how dangerous they can be. They were like grimreapers who could cut off their neck anytime they wanted and this was what terrified the Wang Patriarch the most.

The butler asked, ”Master, what should be done next?”

”For now, cremate these bodies and do not send another team to move on those two children. As long as no adults move against the children, the other adults will also not move. This is my mistake.” The Wang Patriarch said.

This old patriarch who was used to being able to do as he wished just because he is from a noble clan suddenly felt the difference in strength between the humans and the beastmen. Though he is not willing to avenge his youngest son, right now he must find another way to get their revenge.

”Since other humans cannot defeat them then... Other races should be able to do so, right?” The Wang Patriarch mumbles.
