I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1047: 16.93 First Red Star - Despair of the living

In the original world of vampires, werewolves, and humans.

Kenan Light is the destined world villain. It has finally decided to make a move. Only the territory under the control of the Genus Academy remains standing, with the exception of a few desolate lands. The rest of the land had become desolate, making it a haven for the undead. Those who died during the undead invasion had been transformed into undead. Under Kenan Light, the number of undeads now surpassed that of the conquered population of the land he had invaded.

In the world today, the undead outnumber the other races. The Genus Academy Academy is the only remaining sanctuary. The domain within it was shielded from everything outside by the golden barrier. Furthermore, since the invasions of the undead troops led by the Devil, Kenan Light, pollution has not only affected the land and water, but even the air has hints of miasma, which is poisonous to the other races.

At the black castle of bones...

He had never been able to sleep since he became a devil. Countless souls, he had devoured, continued to whisper near his ears, causing confusion in his mind. His desires are almost limitless. He can only eat and eat in order to maintain his sanity. However, there was no cure for such a problem. Either he is killed and dies forever, or he continues to eat and devour everything in his path. As if life were mindless and insatiable.

Kenan Light, the devil, sits on the throne of bones, surrounded by countless corpses. Heʼd eat and eat until only the bones were left, and these bones would give birth to another undead.

Munches~ crunched! Munch!

”No matter how much I eat I donʼt feel full! Iʼm so hungry. Iʼm so hungry!!! Argh! Itʼs not enough. Not enough to eat!!!” Kenan Light yells and his voice echoes in the quiet throne room. ”No matter what it is! I need to eat it!”

Kenan Light was reminded of Genus Academy. Only this location remains among all of the landʼs territory. Those who have escaped his troopsʼ pursuit seek refuge in this location as well. The only living place on the planet. He had already conquered the rest of the land.

”One place left. As long as that land falls as well, I will be the king of this world! Attack Genus Academy. Continue until the barrier disappears!!!”

Since that day, undead attacks on Genus Academy had become more common. But regardless of the rank of the devil tasked with the mission, whatever Kenan Light this devil had sent to the Genus Academy will all just melt upon contact with the barrier. The Devil was enraged by this outcome and nearly lost control.

Back to Genus Academy...

The undead beyond the barrier are terrifying the people inside the barrier. There are far too many to encompass the entire domain of the Genus Academy. Since the undead attacks on the barrier have become more frequent, refugees from the outside have stopped coming in.

Only those who had survived realized that there might no longer be any living people or beings beyond the barrier and that everything had been turned undead.

”There are too many undeads! How can there be that much!?”

”Is there no one living beyond the barrier? Would that barrier be able to protect us until the end?!”

”I donʼt want to die. I truly donʼt! If the Ancestors of the three races are truly powerful, why arenʼt they doing something about that devil?!”

”Such a thing shouldnʼt have existed at all!”

Under Kenan Light, the undead had grown so powerful that they could remember when they were still humans. Most of them were betrayed or sacrificed by others just to survive, and just thinking about it made them even angrier and despised living in their hearts. As if asking, ”Why should I die when you can live inside that barrier?” With such a lingering question, the undeadʼs hatred for the living is dependent, and they worked harder to destroy the barrier surrounding Genus Academy.

They would be able to exact their revenge as long as the barrier fell. Only the Demon King, Lemuel Elon, didnʼt get his entire human memories as Kenan Light specifically sealed his memories as Cardinal Lemuel. This is because this man died for love, which is completely different from the rest.

Fear had begun to grow in the hearts of the living. Even though the barrier remains, they couldnʼt help but wonder what would happen if it suddenly vanished one day. Students stopped going to school because they were afraid, and most of their parents chose not to leave the house they were given. They are still terrified. This fear may worsen in the future, resulting in a massive disaster.

At the mansion...

Instructor Fenrir Skoll and Headmaster Cassius Ambrosia had heard from other teachers that the majority of the students had stopped coming to school. The two systems in their humanoid forms, Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang, are the ones who broke the news to them.

Zhi Yue was the first to report, ”My Lord, Lord Cassius, the students had stopped coming to their classes. It seems that the parents of the students were all afraid that most of them had started to fear that the barrier would fall and the whole place would be razed by the undead.”

”Some Instructors had also resigned from their posts and stayed at home locking themselves inside. There are also a few reports of suicides inside the territory. The beings of this world had started breaking down emotionally. Should we help eliminate those things outside?” Zhi Yang asked.

Cassius Ambrosia became lost in thought; he wanted to say something but remembered that he is forbidden to become further involved in this world if he wishes to leave this place with Fenrir Skoll. He finally decides not to say anything and simply stares at Fenrir Skoll.

Fenrir Skoll, on the other hand, is unconcerned about the world. Even after being resurrected as the God of Void, his emotional level for others other than his wife and family was almost non-existent.

”Continue to just watch. Do not get involved anyway the barrier will not fall as long as we are inside. Since most students had stopped attending school and then forgot about teaching, let everyone else in the academy get back to their place and wait. Wait for their saviors to return. Their trial should be ending soon. They will be back and by then they will fight for this world to continue existing.” Fenrir Skoll said.

Zhi Yue said, ”But my lord...”

”If you want to help, go ahead. But let me give you a warning if this world chooses you to become its new savior then... You can never leave until it finds a new one to protect itself. Take your leave.” Fenrir Skoll finally sends them away.

”Yes, Milord!”

Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang comprehended the Lord Godʼs words and left the mansion without complaint. They realized that if the two lords made a move, this world could be saved, but that Lord Heiʼs soul fragment could never detach itself from this world. To avoid this, they can only wait for the return of the worldʼs true protagonists. Lord Cassius Ambrosia will be set free as long as they save the world through their actions.

After the two systems took their leave, Cassius Ambrosia looked at his lover and asked,

”Are we cruel, AʼXia?”

”We are not originally from this world. It is the worldʼs fault for trying to restrain you and preventing you from leaving. If it had not chosen to do that I would have made a move to clean up this world unfortunately, it wouldnʼt let you go. So I can only watch this world die for your sake. Between the world and my love, you would always be the top priority no matter what.” Fenrir Skoll said.

Meanwhile within the territory of the Genus Academy...

There arenʼt many people loitering along the road or in other areas. The majority of them chose to stay inside their homes and almost not live at all. Only a few people who came to work on their farms can be seen walking around, but the area is already desolate in some places.

A young man, unshaven and dazed like a beggar on the road, was looking beyond the barrier somewhere near the barrierʼs edge. His eyes were lifeless and dull as if he had long lost the will to live. Darius Rueden is a former cardinal. Heʼd been like this since he was forced to live by Lemuel Elon. Nobody knows what he wanted other than to watch the undead beyond the barrier.

After warning him not to leave the barrier, his disciple would abandon him there. They even placed restrictions on him, preventing him from leaving Genus Academyʼs territory. His Disciple understood why his master was acting this way; his master desired to see Lemuel Elon, who had been transformed into undead by Kenan Light following his death.

Even a fleeting glance was enough to bring Darius Ruedenʼs eyes back to life. Even if Lemuel Elon had turned undead, he could never be mistaken for anyone else. But, as if the other side was aware of their masterʼs existence, the Commander of that undead never appeared near the Genus Academy even once. Nonetheless, his master, Darius Rueden, waits. Waiting for someone who will never return to his side.

Sometimes there are some people who can hear Senior Darius Rueden murmuring nonstop saying, ”Lem, where are you? Iʼm here. I will wait for you here to pick me up. I will wait for you here until you come to bring me home. Lem, Iʼm here. I will always be here, Lem~”

Even though Darius Ruedenʼs figure was a lonely and sorry sight in such a place, no one attempted to console him. Because he had lost everything and even his sanity since Lemuel Elon left his side to sacrifice himself for his survival. Waiting for that one person who will never come back to him.

The undead keep attacking the barrier. It would create ripples in the golden light but never leave a hole or crack. Instead, the pile of ashes from the burned undead grows higher and higher until it reaches the height of a small mountain outside the barrier. Even though there are those who are still waiting for their loved ones to return. The other living beings continue to hide in their house in fear.

At the Dawn Familyʼs Household...

Luciel Dawn and Thana Daybreak were informed that their children were leaving somewhere to reconnect with their souls and gain strength. Only by becoming stronger would the possibility of surviving this calamity exist. This couple had no idea where their children had been taken; all they knew was that Keylan Light, the founder of the Templar Temple, had left with them.

Luciel Dawn and Thana Daybreak wished the children would not return to their hearts. If they are currently in a safer place than here, they should stay there because they have realized that their world has already become a living hell for those who are still alive. Undeads occupy their former lands beyond the barrier. Even the earth outside had become desolate. There isnʼt even a living grass to be seen in this dry and infertile landscape.

Thana Daybreak knows that their world outside the barrier is already under the control of Kenan Light. All the former living beings had been eaten and turned into undead.

”Darling, do you think your brother wanted to do all this right from the beginning?” Thana Daybreak asked.

When their parents were still alive, Luciel Dawn remembered his younger brother, who used to be innocent and smile. Unfortunately, the village was attacked by werewolves and vampires, who occupied their land and killed everyone who had previously lived there. His younger brother even witnessed the murder of their parents with his own hands. But who would have predicted that his younger brother would not only cry but also smile in despair at that moment?

”Maybe at that time he had become broken from the inside ever since that day and wanted to destroy this world that made him feel all the pain.” Luciel Dawn mumbled.

After watching the death of his loved ones, Kenan Light chose to hate the world and embraced all the negativity that can help him reach this goal. This is the original source of his ambition or maybe it changed in the end or not.

Thana Daybreak was confused and didnʼt understand her husbandʼs words, ”What did you say?”

”No. Itʼs nothing. I no longer know what Kenan had been thinking ever since we lost our parents. I also donʼt know what he truly wanted in the end.” Luciel Dawn said.
