I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1040: 16.86 First Red Star - Brothersʼ Conversation and the Trialʼs Three Stages

Mikaela returned Conri Lycaon to the house of the Great Elder after he awoke and then vanished somewhere. Mayonaka Yoru was waiting for him to return after his lover had gone to bed with his younger brother. He was passing the time outside the house by smoking a cigarette. Mayonaka Yoru wasnʼt surprised when Conri Lycaon appeared out of nowhere in front of her house.

Whooshed!

Mayonaka Yoru said, ”Youʼre back.” Observing any traces of wounds or scent of blood on him, and finding none made this elder brother relieved.

”You are worrying too much, Brother.” Conri Lycaon said.

”How did your memories return?” asked Mayonaka Yoru.

Silence descended in the area as Conri Lycaon did not respond immediately and reflected on how he had recalled his memories. Finally, he simply answered his elder brother honestly and told him what had happened.

Conri Lycaon said, ”Actually, I didnʼt know what happened. That thing possessing the body of AʼLian at that time was too powerful. I just wanted to keep his body unharmed but also wanted to kill the one inside his body. That being was too powerful for me that even if I use my beast form he can defeat me so easily. Just when I thought I was going to die, the memories which I should have forgotten flashed in my mind. Before I knew it all my memories had returned and also awakened our bloodline as a Snow Wolf.”

”That means your bloodline was triggered by being on the brink of death. Your abilities wanted to prevent you from dying and thus awakened on its own. I heard history about it in our family who would have thought it would happen to you.” Mayonaka Yoru pressed his cigarette on the stone to kill the fire.

Then he suddenly asked his younger brother, ”Donʼt you hate me? I mean... I left you behind with the King. You grew up thinking you are an orphan and I failed you as your older brother. Yue, you should hate me.”

”It would be a lie if I say I didnʼt hate you for it but... Brother, I know you left me in my foster fatherʼs care because you canʼt protect me on your own. Moreover, to avoid me being targeted by the Templar Temple, you can only seal my bloodline and head to that den of thieves on your own. You wanted to take revenge for our tribe right? Since I am too young you didnʼt want me to be with you in that hell. Brother, I understand your circumstances and thatʼs why... I donʼt hate you as you think I am.” Conri Lycaon said.

Mayonaka Yoruʼs face turned grim as he even avoided meeting the eyes of his brother.

”I even failed our revenge. There is no way you donʼt have hatred or rage in your heart.”

”Brother, I donʼt hate you. I know your hardship and I also know the importance of Luna in our lives. Sometimes their existence is above family or equal. I know you decided to leave the Templar Temple because of Brother Esteʼs father and to be able to stay by your Lunaʼs side.” Conri Lycaon said.

It was only when Mayonaka Yoru heard these words that he believed his brother understood his situation and for him to accept so easily meant he truly knows what the feeling of having a Luna is.

Mayonaka Yoru asked, ”That youngest of the Dawn Siblings...”

”He is my Luna. Not Amy... But Carnelian.”

”Then the Imprint Crest before is because she used to live in his sisterʼs body while her soul is away?”

”Yes, I also thought I lost him completely then... Only when Lord Keylan Light explained that the reappearance of the Crest is because he is alive. SInce he lost his body the traces of our soul connection was left behind on the vessel he used to have.” Conri Lycaon said.

Mayonaka Yoru stood up and patted his younger brotherʼs head. ”Okay, enough. Go in, itʼs cold out here. Let me take back your brother-in-law for a bit so you can sleep with your Luna.”

But as soon as they entered the house Esther Dawn was waiting for them with his arms crossed and languid eyes staring at Yoru.

”Are you brothers done talking? Yawns~” asked Esther Dawn.

Mayonaka Yoru smiles naturally towards his partner, ”Itʼs done. Letʼs go to sleep, Este-chan~”

Esther Dawn looked at Conri Lycaon and said, ”The water is ready. Take a dip to remove the coldness in your body and go to sleep as soon as possible. There will be a tough thing to do tomorrow.”

”I will. Thank you and Goodnight, brothers.” Conri Lycaon walked silently towards the room where Carnelian Dawn was sleeping while the other pair went to another vacant room to take their rest. As for their seniors, Great Elder Tuya and Keylan Light, they are nowhere to be found. They might have gone out somewhere.

Unbeknownst to them, a man in a pure white robe with his face hidden beneath a veiled hat and a black jaguar with golden patterns appeared above the house. For some reason, neither the Beast God nor Mikaela were aware of their presence in the world.

The man in a white robe said, ”Iʼve seen them. Letʼs go back.”

”Sure. The house must be prepared by now.” The black jaguar with golden spots said.

The two figures above the house of the Great Elder had vanished in an instant. Tuya and Keylan Light, who had been hiding their presence, appeared unexpectedly. They apparently decided to hide in order for the person staring at them from a distance to reveal themselves.

Keylan Light asked, ”Do you recognize them?”

”No. Even though their aura seems familiar, I havenʼt met these two before. But who would have thought they would choose to live in the Original Tribeʼs Territory? That place is supposed to be surrounded by formation preventing outsiders not connected to the Original Solune Tribe from entering.” Great Elder Tuya said.

Keylan Light asked, ”Doesnʼt that mean they are connected to the founders?”

”Maybe or maybe not. But even I am not capable of entering the Original Tribeʼs Territory. I will have to report this to the Beast God.” Great Elder Tuya said.

Keylan Light said, ”I will go with you to pick up someone.”

These two also disappeared on the spot and they seem to head to the Domain of the Beast God. As his messenger, Tuya is capable of entering her Lordʼs domain. With Keylan Light accompanying her, they head to where the Beast God resides.

---

When the sun has finally risen to the sky once again, morning arrives...

Today is a busy and important day. Because today is the last day of the Beast Godʼs Trial for Mates. The event was orchestrated by none other than the Great Elder Tuya. She is also the Beast Godʼs messenger. The sounds of fireworks can be heard everywhere in the morning, but due to the bright sky, these fireworks were almost hidden by the morning sky.

All of the couples had gathered in an open area, holding hands. In the group, only the Asher Light arrived on the scene. They saw the Great Elder, Tuya, on a stone stage ahead of them.

Leading the event while holding a microphone.

Great Elder Tuya announced, ”A pleasant morning to everyone. Today is the Chosen moment for our couples to accept their trials for love and mateship. But before that let us welcome a guest host who is also a great friend from another world. The Elemental Light Godʼs Messenger, Keylan Light!”

Amber commented, ”She looks like the lead emcee in some kind of variety show.”

”Emcee? Variety show?” Asher Light asked bewildered. In their world, there was no such thing as artists or actors.

Amber Dawn replied, ”That was something like a show in the world I came from.”

”Quiet. Focus on the contents of the Trail. We are to move in pairs, not in groups, to make sure to remember what is needed to be remembered.” Esther Dawn said.

The other four answered the call of the second eldest among the group, ”Yes, brother!”

Keylan Light, who arrived on the scene with white wings on his back, was a special guest who was going to join her in overlooking the trials for this event. The other Beastmen mistook him for a bird-type beastman until the Great Elder Tuya introduced him as another Godʼs messenger, similar to her.

”Woa~ another messenger of God! Thatʼs amazing!”

”Wait! I recall that there was a man beside this senior when we first saw them in that forest. Donʼt tell me that an Esteemed Being is a God!?”

”A God had descended. A God had descended. I have seen God!”

There is an uproar from the sidelines, where the audience has gathered to watch the trial. Those who wanted to watch the couples go through their trials could do so from a safe distance, but they couldnʼt help the couple. They can, however, cheer them on. Keylan Light took the microphone from the Great Elder Tuya and announced something he heard Mikaela have said.

”Nice to meet everyone! As a special guest of this world, my Elemental Light God gave a promise to the Beast God. He would give his blessing to the mates who would be successful in their trials and give you the ability to wield light elements as an extra gift from him.”

This announcement startled everyone in the area with the exception of the group led by Esther Dawn after all most of them can already wield light elements as their primary ability.

”Wow! Is this for real!?”

”Thatʼs a rare element. They can give it away just like that!?”

”Wow! So our visitor God is a Light God. Iʼm so envious that such a rare gift was given away as a prize. Look at the couples on the field. They all wanted to win such a gift!”

”Who wouldnʼt want to?! Thatʼs Light Elements! You can instantly become a healer with that element.”

On the other hand, the people of this world thought light-based abilities were uncommon. Not only can it heal, but it can also purify their food and water, keeping them disease-free. Doctors and priests are a rare occupation in this world, and only those who follow the witch doctor awakened such abilities. They can, as long as they complete the trial, receive the free ability of light with Mikaelaʼs blessing. Light Elements are the most powerful and his specialty in his world. That is why Keylan Light has been chosen as his messenger, as their compatibility is the greatest of all creations in his world.

The Great Elder Tuya was given the microphone back and began explaining the events of the trials.

”Most of you guys already knew about the Trial but since we have guests included in the participants I shall explain what the trial is all about.”

”The Trial of Love has three stages. The first stage is to capture any Dinosaurs in the wild and bring them over to your partner or you can bring your partner, work together and hunt for it as a pair. The size of the hunted prey will show how much you love your partner or each other. So choose your prey wisely. At this stage, I will judge whether your hunted prey suits you or not. If it was successful the Beast God would bring a shower of light on the pair that passed. You cannot cheat after all God is watching.”

”Second Stage of the Trial of Love. Is the most simple yet hard for those who donʼt have a talent for it. Most couples broke up at this stage. You will have to cook what you hunted in the first stage and feed each other. The taste of your food must be able to satisfy your female Beastmen or lover, if not then you would fail as well.”

”The last stage is to pass through the Forest of Illusions. As long as you come out of the forest after taking a piece of flower from the Floral Garden at the center you will be deemed passed and we will prepare for your Mateship Ceremony to receive the Blessings of the Beast God and the Elemental Light God. I hope everyone do your best!”

The City gates slowly opened when the Great Elder Tuya gestured toward the guards on standby.

”As long as you prove your love, you will pass the trials. I pray for all your success. Let the Trial Begin!!”
