I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 71: Chapter 71: She Must Have an Excellent Temper

He parked the tricycle in its spot by the entrance. He would be taking the electric scooter home tonight.

He had only eaten a bowl of fried rice for dinner, and after several hours of fishing, Gu Nan was feeling a bit hungry.

He was a little dirty, though, so he first went home to take a shower before calling An Jun.

”Wanna grab a late-night snack?”

”I’m at Feiyun Pavilion getting a tune-up. Figured I’d grab a late-night snack here when I’m done. You want to come?”

”...”

’Looks like that trip to Southeast Asia really took a toll on him. Simple rest isn’t enough; he needs a ’tune-up’ too.’

After visiting a couple of times, Gu Nan had a good idea of what Feiyun Pavilion was all about. Their top-tier service was similar to the ”Dragon Tendon” massages from Southeast Asia, meant for maintenance and upkeep.

Things were just different in the country; it wasn’t as blatant as it was over there. Still, it was very popular with men suffering from a weak constitution.

Women need to be pampered and moisturized, and men do too!

It wasn’t just about taking supplements; you needed external treatments to go with them.

’Gu Nan, on the other hand, had no need for that. A guy whose mind was filled with nothing but making money and fishing—what would he need this stuff for?’

...

Five minutes later, he arrived at Feiyun Pavilion. Qiaoya was surprised to see him; since he didn’t have an appointment, she had no idea he was coming.

”Get me a room for a massage. Is Number 66 available?”

Qiaoya snapped back to her senses and quickly led him toward a room, pulling out her phone to check the technicians’ availability.

”What a coincidence. Number 66 finishes in five minutes. Shall I book her for you?”

”Yeah, book it,” Gu Nan nodded, following her into a massage room.

He changed into the provided clothes. Since he had just showered, he didn’t need to rinse off again.

Lying on the massage table, Gu Nan sent An Jun a text: ”I’m here too. Come over to my room when you’re done. It’s V07.”

An Jun replied: ”Oh, wow, you really came. I just got started over here, though, so we should finish around the same time.”

Just then, an attendant came in with tea, fruit, and snacks. Gu Nan was indeed a little hungry, so he started eating.

After about ten minutes, the CLICK-CLACK-CLICK of high heels sounded from the doorway.

The door opened, and when he saw Pan Yourong, Gu Nan almost spat out the piece of cantaloupe in his mouth.

Her white, short-sleeved blouse looked like it might burst at the seams at any moment. Below, she wore a brown-plaid pleated skirt, and her full, long legs were sheathed in thin grey stockings that went all the way up to the tops of her thighs.

More importantly, the skirt was a little too short and the stockings weren’t quite long enough, revealing a sliver of fair skin at the tops of her thighs. The way the stocking bands squeezed her flesh was particularly eye-catching.

’Is this some kind of test for a fisherman?’

’She’s a damn good judge of character!’

Even Gu Nan, a man whose mind was supposedly occupied only by making money and fishing, felt his heart begin to wander.

It wasn’t that his willpower was lacking. Rather, his opponent’s Seduction stat was maxed out, triggering a bonus effect.

When Pan Yourong saw Gu Nan in the room, a captivating smile immediately blossomed on her face, instantly maxing out her ”Alluring Mature Woman” stat as well.

”Hello. You guys at the seafood shop get off this late?” she said as a greeting, swiping her card to clock in for the session. Then, she came to Gu Nan’s side and began his massage.

”Not really. I’ve got a busy day tomorrow, so I thought I’d come relax a bit tonight.” Gu Nan felt his mind grow even more restless, his eyes uncontrollably drawn to places they shouldn’t be. He finally decided to just close his eyes while he spoke.

Pan Yourong keenly noticed his reaction and couldn’t help but purse her lips in a faint smile.

She’d seen all sorts of men here, so she was exceptionally clear on their little thoughts and subtle actions.

She knew Gu Nan was getting flustered.

The whole point of dressing like this was to attract customers and turn them into regulars.

Otherwise, there would be no reason to wear stockings. The company uniform was mandatory, but she could still make her own choices about what to wear on her legs, couldn’t she?

Pan Yourong’s favorite clients were men like Gu Nan: well-off, but respectful of the rules and not trying to take liberties.

And if a regular client was handsome, she was even willing to give him a little extra treat on her own initiative.

For instance, even though she was just supposed to be massaging his arm, she sat sideways on the table, pressing her long, beautiful legs tightly against his, letting him feel their softness and smoothness.

”...”

Gu Nan’s mouth twitched. ’She wasn’t this close during the last massage, was she?’

’Was it because there were more people around last time, so she couldn’t be as bold?’

After only twenty-odd minutes, Gu Nan had no choice but to speak up. ”Could you work on my lower back and back, please? That’s where I’m mainly sore.”

With that, he took the initiative and flipped onto his stomach. Any longer, and he’d risk an embarrassing situation.

”Okaaay~” The single, simple word seemed to stretch out like honey as it left Pan Yourong’s lips.

There was a smile in her eyes; she knew exactly why Gu Nan had flipped over.

Faced with such an adorable and amusing client, she suddenly felt a desire to tease him a little.

She lifted one of her long legs and sat directly on his thighs, then began to massage his lower back.

Gu Nan pretended not to notice a thing, enjoying this slightly different massage in a state of tormented bliss.

But before he knew it, he had drifted off to sleep.

As Pan Yourong continued the massage, she leaned down, preparing to tease him some more, only to hear a faint snore. The sound left her stunned.

She looked over and saw that Gu Nan had actually fallen asleep. She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

So she softened her touch and continued to give him a proper, relaxing massage.

He wasn’t sure how long he’d been asleep, but when Gu Nan woke up again, he found that Pan Yourong was gone. An Jun, however, was lying on the other massage table, playing on his phone.

”Ah Jun? When did you get here?”

”Oh, you’re awake? I just got here a little while ago. I saw you were sleeping, so I didn’t wake you.” Seeing him awake, An Jun put his phone away. ”Seriously, what have you been doing to get so exhausted? You had a top-tier beauty giving you a massage, and you still managed to fall asleep?”

”So I can’t sleep when I’m tired?” Gu Nan sat up slightly, rubbing his face to wake himself up.

An Jun shook his head. ”You’re lucky that girl is good-tempered and conscientious. She didn’t slack off after you fell asleep.”

Gu Nan looked at him skeptically. ”Hold on. I get the part about her being conscientious and not slacking off, but how do you know she’s good-tempered? Where are you getting that from?”

An Jun said with a perfectly straight face, ”Of course you can tell. How could a person with such a generous heart have a bad temper?”

”And for contrast, you have those who are ’flat’-out vicious.”

”That’s why I’m telling you to go for Yi Chen. Her temper might not be as good as the young lady who was just here, but it’s still pretty great.”

Gu Nan listened until a vein throbbed on his forehead. ’What a brilliant theory. ”Generous heart” versus ”’flat’-out vicious.”’

’He’d been wondering why An Jun was pushing him to go after Yi Chen when he’d barely just met her. So it was all based on this bullshit theory?’

”Let’s go. Time for that late-night snack!”

”Go my ass. I already ordered two servings of boiled dumplings, two bowls of noodles with pickled greens and shredded pork, two bowls of noodles with fried bean sauce, and four tea eggs. We’re already here getting massages, why would we go out to eat?”

”Good point!”

Gu Nan nodded. Free food always tastes better, and besides, they’d already paid for their massages.

”By the way, Ah Nan, what do you think about me switching to making seafood videos?” An Jun said after a moment’s thought, bringing up an idea he’d been mulling over for the past couple of days.

”You’re doing fine with your restaurant review vlogs. Why switch to seafood?” Gu Nan asked, surprised.

Restaurant reviews and seafood are two completely different fields. A sudden change like that would be like starting all over again. At best, his existing foundation would give him a small head start.

”I’m getting tired of restaurant reviews. I’ve pretty much covered all of Bazhou City, and even with new places opening every day, there’s nothing fresh anymore.”

”I saw that your shop is able to get some rare seafood now, so I figured I could do videos on that. It’d save me from having to run all over the place in the future!”
