I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Such a Skilled Flirt

After lunch, they returned to Yangjiang Port. Ye Jing dropped them off at the seafood shop before leaving with his girlfriend.

An Jun noticed the shop was low on seafood and asked, ”What’s the plan for this afternoon?”

Gu Nan flopped onto a lounge chair. ”What plan? We already spent two thousand. I’m just going to get some sleep. I haven’t slept well these past two days, I’m dead tired. Later, I’ll print out a sign to stick on the door to hire an employee.”

”Well, well, looks like business is really picking up if you’re willing to hire someone.” After teasing him, An Jun seemed to have an idea. He immediately pulled Gu Nan up. ”Come on, I’ll take you somewhere I guarantee you’ll get a comfortable rest.”

”Comfortable?” Gu Nan, knowing his friend all too well, was skeptical. ”I’m not doing anything strenuous!”

”It’ll be strenuous for someone else, not you!”

”I don’t want to make it strenuous for someone else either...”

About ten minutes later, at Feiyun Pavilion, Qiaoya was slightly surprised to see two of her old classmates step out of the elevator.

But a moment later, she put on a bright smile and took the initiative to approach them. ”Well now, what brings you two here today?”

An Jun’s eyes lit up as he looked at Qiaoya in her professional skirt suit. He grinned. ”A spring breeze.”

”...” Gu Nan shot him a sideways glance. ’What a ’spring breeze’.’

Qiaoya was taken aback for a second, then covered her mouth and giggled. ”You’re still as witty as ever, An Jun.”

Then she turned to a fellow receptionist and said, ”They’re old classmates of mine. I’ll take care of them!”

”Come with me. Are you thinking a foot bath, a massage, or a SPA today?”

”Don’t you have an all-in-one package with a head treatment, ear cleaning, and massage? Get that for Ah Nan, with a skilled technician. As for me, I’ll take the 699 Yuan Cloud Nine Romance SPA.”

An Jun seemed very familiar with the place, ordering two packages without hesitation.

Qiaoya paused. ”You seem to know our services really well, An Jun!”

An Jun nodded. ”Of course. I’m doing store review vlogs now. I was just here a couple of days ago, but I didn’t run into you. If Ah Nan hadn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t have even known you worked here.”

”Oh, so we’re graced with the presence of a famous vlogger!” Qiaoya said, leading them to a small private room containing a shampoo station and a massage bed. ”Gu Nan, you can go into this room first. By the way, what would you like to drink?”

”Black tea, please.” Gu Nan had been to massage parlors before, so he was familiar with the process.

”Got it!” Qiaoya ordered the black tea, arranged for a technician for him, and then led An Jun to another room.

Gu Nan sat on the sofa, just about to check his daily mission for the day, when a server came in with tea and snacks.

After the server left, a young, pretty woman dressed in a JK-style uniform walked in carrying a tool kit.

Gu Nan was surprised. He hadn’t expected the technician to arrive so quickly, let alone be so young and pretty.

At that moment, he realized the package An Jun had ordered for him couldn’t have been cheap. It was common knowledge in the massage parlor world: the younger and prettier the technician, the higher the price.

’He could have just gotten me a regular massage,’ he thought. ’But whatever. It was a nice gesture from my bro, so I’ll just accept it.’

”Hello, valued guest. I am Technician 666 from Feiyun Pavilion. It’s a pleasure to be at your service.”

”Hello.” As the technician squatted down, revealing her fair, pale legs, Gu Nan looked away, slightly embarrassed.

The young woman seemed to notice his awkwardness and smiled, pressing her lips together.

Working in massage, even if it was a completely legitimate, non-sexual service, meant dressing in an alluring way, which inevitably invited harassment from some customers.

Seeing Gu Nan’s reaction, she knew he wasn’t one of those creepy guys, and she relaxed considerably.

She took out a set of clothes and said, ”Hello, you can go rinse off in the restroom first and change into these. Oh, and don’t wash your hair; we’ll be doing a head treatment later. I’ll wait for you just outside the door. Just give me a shout when you’re ready.”

”Okay, thank you.” Gu Nan took the clothes and went into the restroom to shower. On a hot summer day, even a little activity outside left you feeling sticky, so a shower felt perfect.

After his shower, he followed the technician’s instructions and lay down on the shampoo bed, and she began her service.

Gu Nan closed his eyes and could feel the young woman applying something to his face.

”Is this your first time at our spa, handsome?”

”Yeah, it’s my first time.”

”By yourself?”

”No, I came with a friend.”

”Oh, that’s nice. Are you from around here, handsome?”

”Mhm, my hometown is a village right next to Yangjiang Port. I run my own shop here. What about you?”

”Me? I’m from Yu Zhou.”

”Ah, so you’re one of those famously fiery girls from the mountains of Shu!”

”Haha, not at all. I’m very gentle,” she cooed.

Gu Nan had originally planned to close his eyes and get some sleep, but the technician’s voice was sweet and gentle, very pleasant to listen to.

She also didn’t try to push a membership card on him after a few sentences, so he went along with the conversation instead of acting cold and aloof.

”A handsome guy like you must have a girlfriend, right?”

”Nope. I need to focus on making money while I’m young.”

”Haha, you’re so ambitious, handsome. I’m sure a lot of girls are into you, right?”

Gu Nan just smiled without answering. ’How was he supposed to answer that? If he said no, wouldn’t that make him seem lame?’

”What about you? You’re so pretty and have such a nice voice, you must have a boyfriend, right?”

”I don’t! Who would want their girlfriend working in this industry? But... if you were willing to date me, handsome, I could find a different job!”

”Hiss—”

The young woman breathed warmly in his ear, her breath as fragrant as an orchid, sending a shiver through Gu Nan’s entire body. His ears turned beet red.

’When had he ever faced such a direct advance? Were all the women at massage parlors this good at flirting?’

”Haha, your ears are red! Are you getting shy, handsome?”

”I am not!” Gu Nan’s tone was a little stiff.

He had been popular with the girls in school, but that was because he was handsome and good at basketball, not because he had a lot of experience with romance.

Gu Nan was something of a late bloomer, only getting his first girlfriend in college.

In the beginning, he was too shy to even hold her hand when they were just strolling down the street, feeling embarrassed if passersby saw them.

For the first six months, the thought of getting a room together never even crossed his mind; he hadn’t even considered that sort of thing.

Luckily, he had a playboy like An Jun by his side, constantly egging him on about certain things.

Finally, during his sophomore year, Gu Nan lost his virginity. Regrettably, however, his first love had not been a virgin.

But he didn’t care too much about that. He had thought his first love would be his partner for life, but she ended up teaching him a harsh lesson about reality.

After they broke up, the thought of romance vanished from his mind, replaced only by the drive to make money.

That was why being flirted with now made him so uncomfortable.

”Oh no, is handsome angry now? It was my fault, I’m sorry!” The technician naturally sensed the shift in his tone and immediately apologized in a cute, coquettish way.

”Um... I’m not angry.” Gu Nan was actually getting embarrassed. A grown man like him couldn’t bring himself to argue with a young woman.

Thankfully, the technician reined it in after that and stopped flirting, and the two of them just chatted normally.

However, when she was massaging his shoulders and neck, Gu Nan felt something was off again.

’What’s so soft on top of my head?’

He risked a glance, then immediately shut his eyes again, pretending he hadn’t noticed a thing.

His mind was starting to wander, and today’s massage was certainly leaving a deep impression, but Gu Nan’s rationality still held sway.

He finally understood why so many people got hooked, impulsively buying memberships and paying for extra time.

The technician never once mentioned buying a membership, but her actions and her words were all screaming one thing: ’If you want to see me again, you’d better hurry up and sign up!’
