Chapter 686, I’m His Younger Sister Too

It had to be said that women were born with amazing intuition, and it was true regardless of their age.

Ye Liuli could feel that Yi Yi hadn’t been friendly with her the entire time. Although she was a wealthy young lady who had always been carefree, she was clever. Therefore, she easily realised the crux of the problem.

Upon seeing Yi Yi’s reaction, she covered her mouth and smiled. “It seems that you’re indeed my Sister-in-law.”

She believed that her speculation was right.

As far as she was concerned, Lu Ye indeed frequently visited Mount Magnifique in the past. It seemed that he was here to visit the young girl instead of getting some training.

Otherwise, the young girl wouldn’t have risked her life to save them.

“No… It’s not like what you think.” Yi Yi quickly waved her hands and stole a glance at Lu Ye, who was getting some rest. Looking guilty, she explained, “My name is Lu Yi Yi. I’m his… younger Sister!”

She didn’t know Lu Ye’s name in the Hidden Realm, so it wasn’t appropriate for her to expose it.

“Younger Sister?” Ye Liuli covered her mouth and smiled. “What a coincidence. I’m his younger Sister too. A biological one.”

She implied that her relationship with Lu Ye was different from that of the young girl and Lu Ye.

It wasn’t until this moment that Yi Yi realised the nature of the relationship between Lu Ye and Ye Liuli. However, seeing Ye Liuli’s expression, she knew that she still hadn’t solved the misunderstanding. She sighed in secret and decided not to explain further.

Half a day later, when Lu Ye opened his eyes, he saw something shocking. Presently, Ye Liuli was resting her head on Yi Yi’s shoulder while crying her eyes out. On the other hand, Yi Yi hugged her and consoled her.

[What’s going on?] Lu Ye was puzzled.

He could understand why Ye Liuli was crying. After all, such a tragedy had happened to her family. One could imagine how devastating it must be for a Young Lady of Tyrant Blade Manor like her.

However, the young girls didn’t seem to be on good terms earlier, but they were so intimate now.

Realising that Lu Ye had awakened, Ye Liuli wiped her eyes and got to her feet. “Sixth Brother.”

Lu Ye nodded in response.

“What should we do now?” Ye Liuli asked.

Although they had just escaped from death’s door, they were still in a perilous situation. Perhaps some people would find them and try to kill them again. Moreover, she hadn’t experienced much hardship before, so she didn’t know what to do next.

After giving it some thought, Lu Ye said, “Show me what you’ve obtained from them.”

Yi Yi and Ye Liuli quickly fished out several Storage Bags. Lu Ye destroyed the Restraining Locks and took out everything.

“This is…” Ye Liuli suddenly picked up something that looked like a token. After taking a look, she said through clenched teeth, “It’s an identity token from Divine Will Sect.”

There were a total of three such tokens. In other words, at least three out of five people who had come to kill them were from Divine Will Sect.

Tyrant Blade Manor and Divine Will Sect were both in Feng Zhou. Although the distance between them was short, they had never been on good terms.

The reason was that the Sect Master of Divine Will Sect suffered a setback because of Ye Ying when he was younger.

The younger generation had no idea what had happened between them, but the resentment remained.

According to the information Lu Ye had acquired, there had always been some conflicts between Tyrant Blade Manor and Divine Will Sect. However, the situation in Soaring Dragon Boundary was different from that in Jiu Zhou, and such conflicts were normal.

In Jiu Zhou, the Grand Sky Coalition and Thousand Demon Ridge had been enemies and going against each other for thousands of years. Under normal circumstances, Sects from the same side would help each other out, and there wasn’t much resentment between them.

Although Soaring Dragon Boundary was also full of Sects and powerful families, the situation was more complicated than that in Jiu Zhou.

They didn’t belong to any side, and the feuds between them were complicated. In the network between great forces that were on good terms, their respective enemies might exist.

Tyrant Blade Manor and Divine Will Sect were resentful of each other. Now that the former had fallen, it was only natural that the latter wanted to rub salt in the wound.

Lu Ye recalled the Body-tempering Cultivator saying that they were only doing this for the money. In other words, they didn’t just do it because of the feud between them.

Someone had paid them money to do it.

Who could the person be?

Although Lu Ye had been given the identity as the Sixth Young Master of the Ye Family, and he had some general information about Soaring Dragon Boundary, he knew nothing about specific details.

Also, Ye Ying’s death was strange.

Soaring Dragon Boundary was similar to Myriad Beast Domain, but there were some differences between them.

What was similar was that the best the cultivators in both worlds could achieve was the Cloud River Realm. No cultivator was above the said Realm.

The difference was that the capacity in Myriad Beast Domain was limited, so the highest the cultivators could reach was the Cloud River Realm. They didn’t have a chance to advance further.

It had something to do with the environment in the world as well. Although the world had enough Spiritual Power, the rules didn’t allow the cultivators to explore the path ahead.

It was just like how Spirit Creek Battlefield couldn’t accommodate cultivators above the Spirit Creek Realm.

However, Soaring Dragon Boundary hadn’t always been like this.

From what Lu Ye had gathered, there were Divine Ocean Realm Masters in this world in the past.

However, after a Heavenly Gully appeared in the North 800 years ago, everything started to change.

As time passed, the Divine Ocean Realm Masters realised their cultivation was slowly declining until they became Real Lake Realm Masters. Around 500 years ago, there were no more Divine Ocean Realm Masters in Soaring Dragon Boundary.

The situation continued to exacerbate. Another 300 years later, there were no more Real Lake Realm Masters.

As such, there were only Cloud River Realm Masters in this world now.

Lu Ye didn’t have time to ponder on the information a while back, but as he thought about it now, he realised it was inconceivable.

He wondered what caused all the cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary to see their cultivation declining.

The situation gave Lu Ye a feeling that if this world was compared to a balloon, the size of the balloon was equivalent to the capacity of this world. The larger the capacity was, the more powerful the cultivators could become.

Nevertheless, for some reason, the capacity of this world was shrinking, which caused all the cultivators to weaken in terms of their powers. From Divine Ocean Realm Masters, they became Real Lake Realm Masters and eventually Cloud River Realm Masters.

Perhaps hundreds of years later, there would only be Spirit Creek Realm Masters in this world. If this went on, cultivators might not even exist in the future.

All these changes started after the Heavenly Gully appeared out of the blue.

The situation in Soaring Dragon Boundary could be seen as one part of the Cloud River Battlefield.

Ye Ying was a Ninth-Order Cloud River Realm Master, and his Tyrant Blade Technique was one of the best in the world. There was no reason for him to pass away all of a sudden unless he was ambushed by some powerful cultivators.

There was no doubt Divine Will Sect was a part of this.

“Let’s recuperate and think about getting revenge later,” Lu Ye said.

Certainly, they had to get their revenge. It wasn’t that Lu Ye acknowledged himself as the Sixth Young Master of the Ye Family or that he loved Tyrant Blade Manor. After all, he was just an Outsider, and it was likely to be a test from the Heavens. However, since he was a Young Master of the Ye Family, he had to act like one.

Moreover, he was interested in their Tyrant Blade Technique.

He had always explored the Way of Blades on his own as there wasn’t anyone who could teach him anything.

If he could retrieve Tyrant Blade Manor, there would be a place for him to stay in Soaring Dragon Boundary. Also, he could try to comprehend the Tyrant Blade Technique.

The blade technique wasn’t invented by Ye Ying. Instead, he found it in an ancient ruins site. It wasn’t certain when or which Sect had left behind the blade technique.

Lu Ye wouldn’t be interested in a blade technique invented by a Cloud River Realm Master. In that case, Ye Ying’s mastery of the Way of Blades might not be comparable to Lu Ye’s.

However, since it was found in a ruins site, it must have some value.

Furthermore, Lu Ye had seen Ye Liuli making a move. Despite her petite figure, she was able to make a domineering move. It seemed that the Tyrant Blade Technique was indeed extraordinary.

His own blade technique was ferocious as well, so it was similar to Tyrant Blade Technique in a way.

Moreover, Tyrant Blade Technique wasn’t the only thing in Tyrant Blade Manor. Since Ye Ying founded the Manor, he had been collecting everything that was related to the Way of Blades. Those things were what Lu Ye craved.

He was initially displeased with the fact that the Heavens had given him the identity of a person whose family had been destroyed, which forced him to be on the run. Now, he no longer felt this way.

The Heavens’ arrangement was reasonable, after all.

Lu Ye had cultivated the Way of Blades, so it was only natural that he was given the identity of the Sixth Young Master of the Ye Family.

“Alright.” Ye Liuli nodded with bloodshot eyes. She was resentful of their enemies. Although she had no idea who the mastermind was, she knew Divine Will Sect was part of this, and she wouldn’t let them off.

The death of her family members became her urge to grow stronger.

One day later, several cultivators were heard conversing while taking a rest on Mount Magnifique.

“The two little bastards are pretty good at hiding. They’re still nowhere to be found.”

They had been hunting Lu Ye and Ye Liuli down for a long time, but they hadn’t managed to find them. They didn’t even know where the duo was.

“We’ve lost contact with one of the teams. It’s not certain what happened to them, so we’d better be careful. Mount Magnifique isn’t a safe place.”

“Don’t worry. Although there are many beasts on the mountain, we just have to join forces… Who’s there!?” one of them suddenly growled while turning his head.

At the same time, the other cultivators got to their feet and vigilantly looked in that direction.

Some light footsteps were heard. Under the Moonlight, two figures, one tall and one petite, emerged from the darkness.

When these cultivators made out their faces, they were elated.

“You’re here, little bastards!”

“Hahaha! You’ve saved us the trouble by coming right to us!”

They were still discussing how to find Lu Ye and Ye Liuli when the two of them came looking for these cultivators.

Ye Liuli appeared nervous while standing beside Lu Ye. Her knuckles turned white as she forcefully held the hilt of her saber.

She could feel that any one of these cultivators was stronger than Lu Ye and her. It wasn’t the best idea to reveal themselves just like this. However, since Lu Ye had made such a decision, she had no choice but to do the same.
