In the cave, when Lu Ye opened his eyes again, he saw that Ye Liuli was sound asleep while leaning against the rock face. After Tyrant Blade Manor was destroyed, she had been anxiously running away from their enemies for the past few days. Since she hadn’t gotten any shut-eye for a long time, she was on her last legs.

The young girl still looked pretty childish while clad in purple clothes, which were originally lavish, but they were now soaked in blood. Since she hadn’t washed up for days, her face was muddy, and her hair was a mess.

She seemed to be having a nightmare as she furrowed her brows with anxiety.

In the darkness, she suddenly opened her eyes. When she was met with Lu Ye’s gaze, she called out nervously, “Sixth Brother…”

“Shh!” Lu Ye placed a finger over his lips.

Ye Liuli nodded.

They heard some noise coming from outside that sounded like something breaking through the air. The tiny sound made the young girl awaken from her dream in shock.

Although she wasn’t as powerful as Lu Ye, she was a Cloud River Realm Master, after all. As such, she had a sensitive perception.

“There’s a cave over there. Let’s go in and have a look,” someone was heard speaking from outside.

Ye Liuli tensed up in an instant. Given their condition, it was impossible for them to survive once their enemies discovered them.

However, it was too late to hide somewhere else. She blamed herself for being useless as she had fallen asleep at such a critical moment. If she had detected them sooner, she and her brother would’ve stood a chance to survive.

Anyway, it was pointless to cry over spilt milk. She picked up her saber and got to her feet with difficulty before standing in front of Lu Ye.

The name Tyrant Blade Manor came from Ye Ying. He wasn’t a tyrannical person, but the blade technique he had cultivated was domineering.

Naturally, his children had been learning the same kind of blade technique from him since they were young kids.

The shape and size of Ye Liuli’s saber were identical to those of Lu Ye’s Inviolable Saber.

Although she was a petite young girl who had always enjoyed a comfortable life, she was fully aware of her situation at that moment. Since her Brother was injured, and their whereabouts had been exposed, she had no choice but to kill the enemies to ensure their safety.

Even if they were doomed, she would rather die before Lu Ye did.

The moment she had gotten prepared, a figure barged into the cave. He was a green-robed man who looked unkempt. It was apparent that he hadn’t rested well for the past few days.

Before he could scan his surroundings, he saw a Saber Light expanding before his eyes. The attack was deadly and seemed able to destroy everything.

It was hard to imagine that a frail young girl like Ye Liuli was able to use such a ferocious blade technique.

The green-robed man was shocked when he was attacked all of a sudden. He quickly wielded his sword and covered the young girl with a sword screen.

At the same time, he yelled, “They’re here!”

It would’ve been better if he were fully focused. However, he still chose to shout at such a critical moment, which weakened his aura.

As their Spiritual Powers clashed, the Saber Light penetrated the sword screen. Following a shriek, the green-robed man was sent flying away.

The man was as powerful as Ye Liuli. Given the young girl’s condition, she supposedly wasn’t a match for the other party.

However, the blade technique of Tyrant Blade Manor was known for being domineering. The user of this technique could potentially defeat a stronger opponent.

Moreover, Ye Liuli was determined to protect her Brother while the other party was merely following orders. As such, she managed to severely injure the man.

Ye Liuli’s eyes brightened as she was ready to kill the man. However, another figure came into her sight the next moment. A fist that was clad in a glove broke through the air in the darkness and destroyed her Saber Light. His immense force exploded and sent her flying away.

Apparently, more than one person had come to kill them.

Nevertheless, the cave was narrow. The green-robed man had entered the place first, followed by the cultivator with gloves. Another three people stood outside the cave.

The second person was burly and full of vitality. It was obvious that he was a Body-tempering Cultivator.

Coming across a Body-tempering Cultivator like him in such a narrow cave was the most despairing thing that could happen to anyone.

Ye Liuli got to her feet with difficulty as blood streamed down from her mouth. Nonetheless, she still stood in front of Lu Ye and lifted her saber, ready to fight her opponent.

The Body-tempering Cultivator scanned his surroundings and saw an injured Ye Liuli. Meanwhile, the extremely frail Lu Ye was lying behind her.

He snorted. “Both of you are the Young Master and Young Lady of the Ye Family, but you’ve ended up in such a state. That’s pretty pathetic, huh?”

“Who are all of you!?” Ye Liule bellowed through clenched teeth. That was the most sorrowful thing ever. Her family had been destroyed, but she had no idea who the mastermind was.

“What’s the point of asking this question now?” The Body-tempering Cultivator looked impassively at the young girl. “We’re only doing this for the money. You should blame your dead Father for offending the person he shouldn’t have.”

Not much useful information could be deduced from his words. He basically meant that Ye Ying had offended a powerful person. Not only was he killed, but he had also dragged his children into this. The business he had spent so much effort to build was also gone with the wind.

Moreover, the other party didn’t intend to tell Ye Liuli anything. Perhaps they knew little about it as well.

“Miss Ye, since your Father was a respectable figure, I’ll go easy on you. End your Brother’s life and kill yourself so that we’ll complete our task.”

Ye Liuli bellowed, “In your dreams!”

The Body-tempering Cultivator hung his head low. “Don’t be ungrateful. I’m asking you to kill yourself so that you’ll suffer less pain. If we make a move, you’ll suffer an ordeal that’s worse than death.”

Upon realising what he was trying to say, Ye Liuli appeared flabbergasted and trembled slightly.

Although she lived a carefree life as the Young Lady of Tyrant Blade Manor, she had heard about the tragedies that happened to many beautiful women. She had never expected that such a thing would happen to her one day.

In that case, she’d rather kill herself.

“Got you!”

Although the Body-tempering Cultivator told Ye Liuli to kill herself, he had been waiting for a chance to make a move. He was more powerful than the young girl and didn’t think she could pose any threat to him, but he was a cautious person. He knew that a person’s potential would be ignited in a despairing situation.

Since he had managed to make Ye Liuli flustered, it was the best chance to make a move.

He activated his Spiritual Power and charged towards the young girl like an arrow. His burly figure was in stark contrast to her frailty. He looked like an eagle who was trying to catch a rabbit.

Faced with the violent attack, Ye Liuli was naturally unable to fend it off since she was badly injured. However, she still steadfastly stood in front of Lu Ye.

As she felt the opponent’s powerful Spiritual Power and aura, she knew that she was doomed.

Even if she cultivated for another two to three years, she still wouldn’t be able to defeat an opponent like him, let alone now.

[I can’t let him catch me! I’d rather be killed than fall into his hands!]

At the thought of this, Ye Liuli was ready to sacrifice herself.

Just then, a figure emerged from behind her as a light flashed across her eyes.

“What!?” exclaimed the Body-tempering Cultivator. He had been focused on Ye Liuli, so he was surprised when a figure appeared all of a sudden.

The next moment, a fiery red Saber Light came into his sight.

“Argh!” he growled as a sense of great danger swept over him. He lifted his fist to strike the Saber Light as all his blood seemed to be burning. He activated his Spiritual Power and covered his fist with a layer of a pink glow.

A series of Saber Lights descended. At that moment, several saber cries seemed to have sounded, but it was also as though it had only sounded one time.

The pink glow shattered as the sharp blade penetrated his fist and split his arm apart.

“Ah!” he shrieked as he was overwhelmed with a sharp pain.

He was a Seventh-Order Body-tempering Cultivator. Although he wasn’t one of the top cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary, he was still pretty formidable. He had never expected that someone would be able to shatter the shield he was so proud of with just an attack.

[Is the blade technique from Tyrant Blade Manor so ferocious?]

Another Saber Light appeared and reached for him. He quickly retracted his fist and crossed his arms. The Saber Light cut across him like he was a piece of tofu. The moment the light was gone, his arms flew away.

He staggered backwards as blood spurted out from his wounds.

The turn of events made him flustered. It wasn’t until this moment that he realised someone was standing in front of him. The person was none other than Ye Six, who had been lying on the ground earlier.

[He’s been fooling me!] That was the first thought that came into the Body-tempering Cultivator’s mind. Earlier, when he entered the cave and saw Lu Ye listlessly lying there, he decided to ignore him. He believed that as soon as he settled Ye Liuli, his task would be completed.

Much to his surprise, Ye Six, whom he had been ignoring, was so powerful.

Lu Ye was shorter than the Body-tempering Cultivator. At first glance, one might think that Lu Ye had crashed into the other party’s embrace. He jabbed his Inviolable Saber into the man’s chin as the blade stuck out from his brain.

The Body-tempering Cultivator widened his eyes and gurgled while his body convulsed. As Lu Ye retracted his saber, blood spurted out of the man’s wound. He collapsed to the ground and soon became motionless.

Everything happened in just two breaths of time. Both Ye Liuli and the green-robed man were dumbfounded. After the man was killed, Lu Ye turned to look at the green-robed man, who exclaimed and retreated.

Certainly, it was too late for him to leave at this point. The weapon holder at Lu Ye’s waist buzzed as nine rays of light shot forward and shattered the green-robed man’s Spiritual Power Shield, forming holes in his figure.

After the person fell to the ground, he became unmoving.
