Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Silver Tower:

“Manager Lara, looks like you were extremely worried,” Susan asked her.

“Listen, I got a message from Lord Charlotte. She doesn’t want any mishap to happen,” Lara said in a serious tone.

She actually wanted to say that Lord Charlotte didn’t want the magic duel to happen. But if she tells Susan, then she will be more interested in fighting Vincent Carey.

Susan frowned. No one wants to offend the Forbidden Wizard Charlotte. Forbidden Wizards of the Silver Tower are the decision makers. They are the main members of the Mage Union.

But they were not intending to kill the new member. They were going to test his strength. Susan’s eyes flashed with a gleam.

She understood one thing: as long as Manager Lara is here, she won’t let the magic duel happen, let alone meet the new member.

Susan made a firm decision. She stood up from her seat. She looked at Manager Lara before leaving the place. She wanted to remind others before thinking of a plan.

Manager Lara watched her leave. She could tell that Susan was up to something. But she could only sigh. Her job was to protect the Silver Tower and help the Wizard Seeds.

If the Wizard Seeds manage to lure out Vincent Carey, then she wouldn’t be able to help them. She decided to warn him.

She then took out her badge and sent him a message.

Meanwhile,

Susan Park just exited the Silver Tower. But she saw a person walk up to her. The person was none other than Wilfred Cox, the Level-8 Wizard. He is another Wizard Seed with Sub-Taboo Grade Magic.

His magic is Illusion World. When he casts the magic spell, people who look into his eyes are dragged into his illusion world.

In that place, he decides the life and death of the enemy.

Wilfred Cox has long black hair and unique grey eyes. His hair is black, but there are some grey strands as well. His skin tone is pale. His sickly appearance makes him stand out.

Right now, he was dressed in wizard clothes with a pointy hat. Upon seeing Susan, he revealed a bright smile on his face.

But he maintained a distance from her.

“Susan, I heard you were here yesterday. Did you meet the new member?”

“How is he?”

“Is he strong?”

“I don’t want any weaklings to become our Silver Tower members,” Wilfred asked back-to-back questions.

Susan was stunned. She didn’t expect this crazy person to appear so soon. Then she thought about Manager Lara.

“The newcomer is protected by Manager Lara. As long as he stays in the Silver Tower, it’s impossible to see him,” Susan said in a frustrated tone.

An interesting gleam flashed in Wilfred’s eyes. He knew about Manager Lara. She wouldn’t pay attention unless something important happened.

He thought about the newcomer’s gravity magic. Gravity Magic is known as Sub-Taboo Magic. Unlike other recently grown Sub-Taboo Grade Magics, Gravity Magic is an ancient one.

Even his Illusion World attained the status of Sub-Taboo Grade Magic only 50 years ago. So he was interested in meeting the new member.

“So you are saying she is protecting him?” Wilfred asked.

This time his expression was stone cold. If his guess was correct, they couldn’t do anything against her inside the Silver Tower. She had been given authority to implement rules by the Forbidden Wizard.

“Yes, she expressed it openly,” Susan said with a sigh.

Wilfred frowned. He then looked at the Silver Tower before saying, “This place is not the right place to talk. Let’s go to my café. I’ll ask others to come there as well.”

“Good,” Susan said.

She was about to discuss it with others as well. But Wilfred’s arrival had saved her time. Then they both left the place.

…

From MC’s Perspective:

I was having a good sleep after practice.

Buzz!

But the sudden call woke me up. I looked around before finding that the sound was coming from the badge.

I took out the badge and looked at it. The next second, a pop-up screen appeared and the message was displayed.

My gaze fell on the message. After reading it, my expression turned serious. I got out of bed. The message was sent by Manager Lara. She had something important to talk to me about.

“What now?” I asked myself.

I had thought of having a good sleep. But I was forced to wake up before that. Then I entered the bathroom and spent 20 minutes in it.

After stepping out of the bath, I changed into fresh clothes and wore the badge before stepping outside. Then I quickly came down to the first floor.

Then I saw Manager Lara waiting for me. Upon sensing my presence, she turned around and looked at me.

“Sit,” Lara said.

Hearing that, I sat on the sofa and looked at her.

“Two more Wizard Seeds came looking for you. But for some reason, they left the place. It’s best for you to stay inside the tower for some time.”

“The other Wizard Seeds won’t be able to bother you,” Lara advised.

A hint of hesitation flashed in my eyes. How long am I going to stay hidden? I need to find out about the Super Relics as soon as possible.

“Manager Lara, the mana in this magic city is very pure. My core progression is faster here. But still, it will take time for me to become a Level-9 Wizard.”

“So it’s impossible for me to stay here for a long time. I need to go out and look for resources,” I replied to her.

Lara was stunned. She didn’t expect me to worry about resources. Their Silver Tower Treasury is filled with resources, but it’s only for the official members.

The Wizard Seeds usually don’t need it because they come from rich backgrounds. Only Vincent Carey’s circumstances are different. He has to work for it.

Lara then asked, “I understand your situation. But do you have any professional knowledge?”

“Yes, I worked as an appraiser for a commerce organization,” I answered.

“Appraiser?” Lara uttered in surprise.

Because appraiser experts are sought by many wizard organizations. Even their Mage Union has important posts for them.

She looked at the new member with doubt.

“Are you sure?” she asked again.

“Yes, I’m telling the truth,” I replied in a firm tone.

I didn’t know why she was asking me again.

Lara’s eyes flashed with a glint. She thought of a good idea to test his skills.

“Come with me. I’ll take you to verify your skills,” she said.

“Okay.” After saying that, I stood up to follow her.

My heart raced. I didn’t expect an opportunity to turn around so soon. Whenever there is some kind of treasury, I always have lucky encounters.

I didn’t know what I was going to encounter this time.

I thought we were going to the top floor. But when we stepped inside the elevator, she pressed the button for the down floor.

“What?” I blurted out in surprise.

“Yes, we have down floors here. The treasury is located in the last basement. It’s protected with powerful magic formations.”

“But don’t think I’m going to show you the treasury. I’m taking you to the storage room, where unidentified objects and broken artifacts are placed.”

“These items were sent by the official members. We didn’t have time to evaluate them. So they were piled up inside the storage room.”

“If I find you to be a good appraiser, then I’ll ask Lord Charlotte to appoint you as an appraiser here. For your salary, you can earn Super Grade Mana Stones to the Treasure Items,” Lara said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, I felt disappointed at first. Then my hopes lit after hearing about the storage room. My heartbeat increased. I was worried about the resources, but I hadn’t expected the problem to be solved so soon.

My mood brightened. If I could find a Super Relic among the unknown items, then I would be even happier. My heart was telling me that such chances were high.

The items in the storage room were all brought here by the official members. The official members were all Sub-Taboo Wizards. So my hopes were high.

Tud!

Finally, the elevator reached the bottom.

Creak!

The door opened. I stepped outside with her. I could see a gold-plated door at the passage’s end. I immediately thought it was the treasury.

When I tried to observe the room, I felt a sense of crisis.

“Don’t look at it. The magic formations are still active,” Lara said.

“Okay,” I replied.

Then I looked around and found there were no other rooms in the passage. There was only the gold-plated door at the end.

But she was leading me towards the end.

“Manager, where is the storage room?” I asked her.

Lara was deactivating the magic formations on the gold-plated door.

“The storage room is located behind the gold-plated door. The real treasury is hidden. I don’t have permission to access the real treasury,” Lara said without turning back.

“What?” I stood dumbfounded.

She is a Magic Lord. But she doesn’t have permission to look at the real treasury.
