Chapter 762: Chapter 759: Huang Qisheng’s Plan

”What do you think about this matter?” Huang Feihu looked at his third son inquiringly, satisfied with his calm demeanor despite the dire situation.

Huang Qisheng adjusted his glasses, coughed lightly, and replied, ”Firstly, I believe that the purpose of the Zhong Family’s young master kidnapping Lao Jiu and Shisan is not actually for money.”

”Because the Zhong Family, holding significant power, couldn’t possibly have any money problems.” Huang Qisheng continued to analyze, ”As for the fifty billion, I see it as nothing more than a bluff to make us negotiate, so he can reveal his real purpose.”

”Well said, go on.” Huang Feihu gestured.

It was precisely this thought that made him not rush to send someone to rescue his two sons immediately.

”I think, before we understand what the other party is after, we shouldn’t start negotiating but rather approach with a friendly attitude to probe.” Speaking, Huang Qisheng said in a deep voice, ”At least for now, I can’t think of anything the Huang Family has that the Zhong Family’s young master would desire.”

Huang Feihu nodded, this was also something he couldn’t comprehend. In theory, if the Zhong Family wanted something, it would likely just be a matter of asking. Although their family was the top family at the Northern Border and had inherited some treasures from ancestors.

But those are just some antiques, and if they were all sold, they could just about gather fifty billion.

Could it be that the other party estimated this, hence the fifty billion asking price?!

However, without clearly knowing the other party’s terms, any speculation is just empty talk.

As for the fifty billion asking price, whether in Huang Feihu’s eyes or based on Huang Qisheng’s analysis, it’s not even a starting offer, it’s a joke.

”So, what do you think we should do at present?”

Huang Feihu looked at his son with interest, who was also the future successor of the Huang Family.

Huang Qisheng dared not take it lightly, as he saw this as a test from Huang Feihu, hence the next answer must be cautious, each sentence had to be thought over several times in his mind to ensure no flaws could be picked out.

After pondering for a moment, Huang Qisheng spoke, ”The urgent matter is to figure out the Zhong Family’s young master’s purpose. I will go in person this time to inquire and talk face-to-face.”

”What if the other party refuses to talk due to insufficient ransom?” Huang Feihu asked rhetorically.

”He won’t!” Huang Qisheng said firmly, ”I will bring part of the funds to meet him first.”

After thinking, Huang Qisheng added, ”If the Zhong Family’s young master isn’t after money, even if I bring no money, he will still meet with me, but this way is relatively more secure!”

Huang Feihu’s eyes showed satisfaction, and he continued to ask, ”Then, how much are you planning to bring this time?”

”One billion!”

As Huang Qisheng said this, although his expression did not change much, his heart couldn’t help but beat faster.

While one billion isn’t a significant amount for the Huang Family, it’s also not trivial. With his current authority, this was already the limit he could utilize!

”Good!” Huang Feihu praised, ”Bold!”

Seeing Huang Feihu’s reaction, Huang Qisheng secretly breathed a sigh of relief and then said, ”Besides, we might as well send someone to contact the Zhong Family to indirectly probe their attitude, and also put some pressure on them.”

Hearing his son’s suggestion, Huang Feihu became even more joyful and said, ”Not bad, after all, the Zhong Family is a major family and has to consider public pressure.”

With the plan decided, Huang Qisheng stood up and said, ”No time to lose, I’ll head over immediately. Although the third brother and Shisan are unlikely to be harmed, as their brother, I can’t rest assured!”

”Take more experts with you this time. The opponent’s strength should not be underestimated, as both Lao Jiu and Shisan have been captured,” Huang Feihu said, ”I don’t want anything to happen to you.”

Huang Qisheng shook his head, whether this was Huang Feihu testing him or expressing fatherly concern, he replied directly, ”No need, as long as the Zhong Family’s young master could take down the Flying Tiger Institute in one go, bringing more people is just sending them to their doom.”

After saying that, feeling it was not quite right, he added, ”Unless you can send Seventh Uncle, otherwise it’s better for me to go alone, at least it can show our family’s confidence and sincerity!”

This time, it was Huang Feihu who shook his head instead. That Guardian God-like figure of the Huang Family wouldn’t step in unless it was a life or death crisis for the Huang Family!

”One last question!” Huang Feihu raised one finger, asking, ”Has the Zhong Family’s young master or the Hunter become strong enough to single-handedly annihilate one of our Huang Family’s top combat forces?!”

Huang Qisheng sighed helplessly, saying, ”It doesn’t matter what I think, but after hearing that the entire Flying Tiger Institute was captured, and might even be annihilated, you didn’t exhibit anxiety or anger...”

”Our Huang Family possesses far more than just the superficial combat power!” By the end, Huang Qisheng’s voice grew very firm, which greatly pleased Huang Feihu, signaling him to depart.

...

After Huang Qisheng left, a half-real, half-imaginary crouched voice appeared in the study, saying indifferently, ”You’re going easy on him!”

”Seventh Uncle, forgive me, I didn’t mean to deceive you, in fact, with my abilities, I really could not.” Huang Feihu explained, ”I’m merely trying my best to make him show you what he’s capable of!”

”Do you think that’s necessary?” The stooped old man, expression as calm as ancient waters, said, ”You are the current patriarch of the Huang Family, it doesn’t matter who you choose as your successor, I will neither interfere nor give an opinion.”

Huang Feihu sighed, feeling somewhat powerless towards this elder. Over the years, none of his children ever received a single word of praise from him, as if none could meet his standards.

Even towards Huang Feihu himself as the current Patriarch, he never showed satisfaction, nor did he participate in any family affairs, leaving them with no room for any temper.

”For the Huang Family to reach its current standing, it relies not on the current pillars but on the future younger generation!”

The old man unexpectedly commented, ”I know what you’re thinking, for so many years, your anxiety has been apparent to me too, merely that the successive blows have intensified your sense of unease.”

”However...” the old man’s tone suddenly shifted, ”Even if I could help you now, how long could I help you for?”

”If the Huang Family is fated to decline in someone’s hands, it is destined, and cannot be avoided!”

Bringing it back to the original point, the old man concluded, ”The future of the Huang Family is inevitably in the hands of the younger generation!”
