God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 202: Chapter 200: Undercurrents

The relationship between Xiao Tian and Zhong Aiguo is really strange.

Although Zhong Aiguo is Xiao Tian’s father, their conversations were very few. Even during the years Xiao Tian was abroad, their phone conversations were almost non-existent.

Zhong Aiguo is also a hard-nosed military man with numerous military achievements. However, compared to his son, who is a god in the army, he’s still far behind. In his forties, Zhong Aiguo rose to the rank of Major General, largely thanks to his son Xiao Tian.

When Xiao Tian was young, he followed Xiao Nianqing around to escape enemies. The entire family pressure fell on Zhong Aiguo, which led to the father and son not meeting for many years.

Actually, Xiao Tian understands Zhong Aiguo’s difficulties. Family is very important in his heart, but Xiao Tian is not one to express these feelings.

Xiao Tian answered the phone, hearing a voice that was familiar yet somewhat strange.

Xiao Tian sighed and slowly said, ”Dad.”

If Xiao Tian remembered correctly, this should be the first phone call between father and son after so long.

”I received your message. How’s your third aunt?” After a moment of silence, a middle-aged man’s voice came through from the other end.

”I just performed surgery on her, she’s still in a coma,” Xiao Tian said.

Hearing that Zhong Kexin was fine, Zhong Aiguo finally relaxed.

”I have confidence when you perform surgery. What about the group that attacked her?”

”Killed them.”

”Uh.....” Zhong Aiguo was momentarily struck speechless by the remark. Inwardly, he thought with resignation, Xiao Tian is still Xiao Tian, always like that.

Then, Zhong Aiguo’s tone became serious, ”By the way, the documents your third aunt was carrying? That’s a crucial collaboration plan between our military district and Lan Qi. It’s top secret, and if foreigners get hold of it, it could affect Huaxia’s entire military defense.”

From Zhong Aiguo’s tone, Xiao Tian could sense the importance of the documents. However, if he had gone after those Japanese at the time, he would definitely have missed the best timing for Zhong Kexin’s surgery. Xiao Tian had no choice but to let it go.

”They were taken by several Japanese. At the time, I couldn’t worry about more in order to save people.” Xiao Tian continued, ”But I have some clues about the organization behind those Japanese. I killed so many of them, they definitely won’t let it rest.”

”Those damn Japanese! Haven’t they had enough of the bitter consequences of their defeat in the war back then?” On the other end, Zhong Aiguo angrily pounded the table.

After a while, Zhong Aiguo calmed his emotions down.

He said slowly, ”Forget it, I’ll leave it to you. Be careful, the family will protect you if necessary! Besides...”

Zhong Aiguo sighed, and his tone seemed to age in an instant, ”Don’t always run wild outside. When things settle down, come back home and visit when you can, the family misses you.”

After saying that, Zhong Aiguo hung up the phone.

Late at night, in the research lab at the headquarters of the Raindrop Organization.

Inside a giant transparent dome, a Biochemical Beast about four to five meters long was glaring ferociously at its surroundings. Numerous tubes were inserted into the Biochemical Beast’s back, injecting green liquid into its body.

The Biochemical Beast was biting the iron bars in front of it. With such force, the several inches thick iron bars were bent by its bites!

The person in charge stood satisfied in front of the dome, hands clasped behind his back, and said with a laugh, ”Haha, this X Potion is indeed powerful. It seems the first phase is completed, and it’s grown to this extent in just a few days, tsk tsk. Truly terrifying.”

However, the Biochemical Beast’s growth requires consuming humans to constantly enhance its power, and all the people captured by the organization were eaten clean.

The person in charge turned around and said, ”That kid named Xiao Tian who destroyed the Somalia base, this time he must die. I can’t trust anyone else, Demon Slayer, take this Biochemical Beast with you to Huaxia.”

Behind the person in charge stood a man in a black robe. The shadow cast by his massive hood covered his face, giving a strong sense of mystery.

The person in charge continued, ”But that kid single-handedly disposed of five Star River members, so don’t underestimate his strength. Be careful!”

Demon Slayer behind him snorted coldly, and a gloomy voice followed, ”Ha, those five were losers, no wonder they failed. This time, with the Biochemical Beast’s help, I will definitely take that kid’s head!”

”Good!” Having worked with Demon Slayer for many years, the person in charge was naturally familiar with his abilities. Currently, satisfied, he said, ”If you manage to kill Xiao Tian this time, the position of a five-star executive isn’t far off for you...”

A few days later, inside the West City Branch.

The usually bustling office was now left with only Yu Ningxue. Almost all the police in the station had gone out patrolling.

The reason was the mysterious murder cases that happened over the past two days. Within two days, more than a dozen people were mysteriously killed; after arriving at the scene, nothing but bloodstains were found, and there was no trace of anyone. Even surveillance cameras couldn’t catch any sight of the suspect.

Yu Ningxue sat in the police station, looking at a pile of useless photos and materials, scratching her head in frustration.

”So annoying, so annoying, so annoying!!” Yu Ningxue’s pretty face was angry.

Suddenly, she thought of someone, Xiao Tian!

Yu Ningxue knew that Xiao Tian had been busy tracking down those Japanese over the past few days. Unless it’s absolutely necessary, Yu Ningxue didn’t want to disturb him, but all of Shanghai’s police forces had been mobilized, and after two days, there was still no progress. With no other choice, Yu Ningxue had to dial Xiao Tian’s number.

”Hey, beautiful master, did you miss me?” On the other end, Xiao Tian said with a grin.

Upon hearing Xiao Tian’s voice, Yu Ningxue’s suppressed mood over the past few days finally lightened up a bit, and she started joking.

”Yeah, you haven’t been paying attention to me these past days, and I miss you.”

Thinking that on the other end Yu Ningxue might be in her police uniform, speaking sweetly into the phone, Xiao Tian’s heart felt a little itchy.

”Aren’t you coming over to keep me company?” Yu Ningxue said sweetly.

Xiao Tian finally gave up, ”I surrender, beautiful master, what do you need?”

Yu Ningxue glared, and said angrily, ”Can’t I call you unless there’s something wrong?”

”No, no, no,” Xiao Tian laughed, ”You never discuss personal matters over the phone.”

”Hmph, how much do you know about me?” Despite saying that, Yu Ningxue felt a bit happy inside, she said, ”There have been mysterious murder cases in the city these past few days. We really have no leads, could you come over and help?”

On the other end, Xiao Tian hesitated for a moment; he had indeed seen the news over the past few days. If the murders were allowed to continue, it could cause public panic, and Yu Ningxue was a very strong-willed person, rarely asking for help. Her calling this time suggested she was really having difficulty.

”Alright, I’ll head over now.” Xiao Tian said, then directly hung up the phone.
