God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 99: Chapter 97: Useless Boy Scouts

Jiang Chao raised his hand and checked the time on his watch. The next second, his gaze tightened, overwhelmed with shock.

Two minutes!

Less than two minutes since the battle began, and Group C had already fallen!

Group C was the focus of this protection operation. Once breached, it would directly threaten the target’s life, so the entire team was composed of elite SWAT officers, with the best snipers to assist.

But now, less than two minutes, and Group C had failed!

The enemy’s strength was truly terrifying!

”Report the casualties.” Jiang Chao suppressed his anger and asked in a low voice.

Soon after, a choked voice came over the radio, ”Ca- Captain... nine were killed, all the snipers have been knocked out.”

”Nine killed...” Jiang Chao was dumbfounded, his expression turning baffled.

The most elite team, yet more than half had been lost!

”How many enemies are there?” Jiang Chao asked again. In such a short time, an elite team lost nine members; the enemy’s numbers must be daunting. If this continued, everyone might sacrifice themselves.

”Only... only one person...” a voice over the radio sobbed with uncontrollable anger.

”One person...” Jiang Chao felt as if he’d been hit hard, his mind blank.

Who on earth was this?

Just one person breached the most secure defense in less than two minutes and killed nine elite SWAT officers!

A demon?

Boom!

A crashing sound from a window came from the next room.

”Damn!”

Jiang Chao shouted, and without thinking, hurried out.

The enemy’s target was next door!

”If you dare come in, I’ll kill him. You’ve already suffered losses, don’t doubt my words.” Just as Jiang Chao was about to break the door, a hoarse, sinister voice came from inside the room.

This person was none other than Xiao Tian’s arch-enemy, Fan Ming!

”Come at me if you’ve got business, don’t harm the hostage!” Jiang Chao shouted in a fit of rage.

”Heh heh heh.” Fan Ming sneered disdainfully, coldly saying, ”Useless, if you were of any use, I’d have come looking for you long ago. You’re all a bunch of worthless garbage; so many police officers, snipers, and SWAT, yet you can’t even protect one person.

Go back home and farm!”

”You... you beast!” Jiang Chao’s eyes reddened, nearly losing his mind.

He couldn’t bear the humiliation towards public security officers.

But this was the reality, the outcome of this operation, over a hundred police forces, resulted in heavy casualties and they couldn’t protect even one person!

The most secure line of defense was forcefully breached by just one person!

”If you say one more word, the hostage will be dead.” Fan Ming’s cold voice came out, sounding like a bloodthirsty killing machine.

”Hurry up and go in, protect the target!” Wang Meng led a few detectives over.

”Everyone stop!” Jiang Chao halted them all.

Then, saying nothing, he stood there clenching his teeth, trembling all over.

Inside the room.

Swish!

Fan Ming waved his right arm, and the sharp knife directly cut off the hostage’s ear.

The hostage was in unbearable pain, nearly fainting, and felt Fan Ming’s terror, but dared not make a sound.

”I’ll ask you a question. If you don’t speak the truth, I’ll cut off your other ear.” Fan Ming watched the hostage with a cold gaze, saying, ”Ten seconds, you have only ten seconds to answer, confess honestly, where is the Crystal Ball!”

”I... I don’t know...” The hostage sat paralyzed on the ground, shaking his head repeatedly, crying out, ”I don’t know about any Crystal Ball, I really don’t know anything.”

Swish!

Fan Ming then drew a grim wound on the hostage’s face, coldly pressing, ”I’ll give you one last chance!”

”I don’t know, I really don’t know, please just let me go, I really don’t know.” The hostage was utterly desperate.

”It seems you really don’t know.” Fan Ming nodded slightly.

The hostage, feeling the tension slightly ease, thought the demon in front of them would leave.

But at that moment, the black muzzle was shoved into the hostage’s mouth!

”Mmm mmm mmm... mmm mmm mmm...” The hostage was desperate again, struggling wildly, crying out, but it was all in vain.

Outside the room.

Jiang Chao was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan, pacing back and forth, suddenly hearing whimpering from inside the room.

”Fan Ming, you...”

Bam!

Realizing something was wrong, Jiang Chao could no longer hold back, yet, just as he was about to storm into the room, a gunshot rang out.

Boom!

Almost simultaneously, Jiang Chao kicked the door open and rushed into the room.

”Ah! Ah! Ah!”

Jiang Chao knelt on the ground, eyes bloodshot, hands clutching his hair, he roared hysterically, as if he had lost his mind.

The hostage... was sacrificed!

Under the police’s strict protection, the hostage was sacrificed!

However, what made Jiang Chao collapse wasn’t just this.

But the five blood-red words on the floor.

Useless Boy Scouts!

”Captain!” Wang Meng rushed in.

”Captain!” Yu Ningxue also came over upon hearing the gunshot.

Bleagh—

Immediately, Wang Meng and Yu Ningxue turned green, bending over, covering their mouths, a wave of nausea.

They were both detectives and had seen many murder cases, but such cruelty from the killer was the first they had witnessed!

Yu Ningxue couldn’t hold it, covering her mouth, she ran out to vomit.

Wang Meng, however, rushed over to support Jiang Chao.

”Get away!” Jiang Chao fiercely shook off Wang Meng, leaning back and roaring, ”Xiao Tian! Xiao Tian, where the hell are you!”

Such a terrifying enemy, besides Xiao Tian, who else could deal with it?

”I’m sorry... I’m sorry... I, I’m sorry.” Jiang Chao guiltily looked at the deceased hostage, muttering repeatedly.

”Captain, this isn’t your fault, that man, that man is simply a devil.” Wang Meng comforted Jiang Chao.

Jiang Chao didn’t hear a word of it, just knelt on the ground, staring blankly at the hostage.

Wang Meng, helpless, could only help clean up the scene.

Soon, the hostage’s body was carried out, and just as they reached the doorway, from a slightly distant dark corner, a flash went off.

The participating detectives and SWAT officers, weighed down with the mood, didn’t notice the scene was secretly photographed.

Jiang Chao knelt in the hostage’s room all night and was forcibly removed the next morning.

Ten o’clock in the morning.

Shanghai City Public Security Bureau headquarters, Chief’s office.

Bai Tao was troubled, overnight, half of his hair had turned white, unable to think of a way to deal with those thugs.

Knock knock knock!

A knock on the door sounded.

”Come in.” Bai Tao responded casually, sounding very irritable.

Jiang Chao entered the office, dejected.

”It’s you.” Bai Tao’s expression slightly eased, taking a deep breath, comforting, ”It’s over, don’t dwell on it, this isn’t solely your fault, I also bear responsibility.”

”Chief, check the news online.” Jiang Chao, with head downcast, said gloomily.
