Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

It’s just that they want to use his connections to successfully visit Lu Li.

However, things obtained too easily might not be valued by others.

Gu Wei had already decided that no matter what Fu Qin and those aliens said later, he would refuse everything outright, and then wait until they came looking for him a second time to give them a glimmer of hope.

Yes, Gu Wei hadn’t even considered whether they would come back a second time.

Because he knew the situation of the Martial Hero Race right now, they would definitely pay a second visit.

”Don’t refuse too bluntly, leave some room for maneuver to create conditions for a second visit.”

Gu Wei’s brain was racing, and he kinda knew what to do.

After a few more minutes, the doorbell rang ding dong, ding dong.

Gu Wei ran to open the door and saw Fu Qin, Carlo, and two wise beings who might be members of the Martial Hero Race standing outside, all smiling.

Those two Martial Hero Race members were wearing protective suits, possibly unable to adapt to Earth’s environment.

”Old Gu.” Fu Qin greeted amicably, ”Didn’t disturb your rest, did I?”

Gu Wei returned the smile, ”It’s alright, I was actually planning to rest a bit, but with you Old Fu here, I’ll definitely give some face.”

This sentence was quite meaningful, indicating he originally didn’t want to see anyone, but he gave face to Fu Qin.

Fu Qin was also part of the system, how could he not understand? He quickly said, ”Thank you, thank you.”

Gu Wei walked inside, ”Come in and have a seat.”

Fu Qin led Carlo and the two Martial Hero Race members inside.

The five of them found places to sit.

Fu Qin took the opportunity to introduce the two Martial Hero Race members to Gu Wei.

The taller one was named Paimon.

The other one’s name was Sunset, a woman.

They were all diplomatic personnel stationed in the Virgo Supercluster for the Martial Hero Race.

Paimon explained their intention: ”Respected Mr. Gu, we truly have important matters to visit the Land God. As long as you are willing to introduce us, we will definitely not let you suffer.”

Everyone looked at Gu Wei.

Gu Wei frowned and said, ”To be honest, if it were other matters, you shouldn’t even mention benefits or drawbacks, I have to give face to Old Fu and complete the task beautifully for you.”

Fu Qin gave a grateful look.

”It’s just.” Gu Wei sighed, ”Mr. Lu is such a figure that I might say words you don’t like to hear, the two of you might not be suitable to meet Mr. Lu.”

Paimon and Sunset exchanged a glance, roughly understanding his meaning.

Paimon cautiously probed again, ”Then what kind of status does Mr. Gu think is suitable to visit the Land God?”

Gu Wei tactfully said, ”I don’t know, but here in our Milky Way Galaxy, even if Venerable Lupar, acting as ’Lord of Ten Thousand Stars,’ were to come, they might not be able to meet Mr. Lu. As for you requesting my introduction, at the very least, the person’s status must be one of the best in your Martial Immortal Race, wouldn’t you agree?”

Paimon had an inkling, ”Thank you, Mr. Gu, for the reminder. I’ll think about it carefully when I return.”

Saying this, he looked to the side, ”Sunset, the gift?”

Sunset took out a small white box from her protective suit’s pocket, about the size of a ring box.

Paimon took it, handed it to Gu Wei with both hands, and said, ”A small token of appreciation, nothing much, hope Mr. Gu will accept it.”

Gu Wei waved his hand and said, ”I don’t deserve any reward without effort. If I really introduce you successfully, I definitely won’t refuse this gift, but for now, please take it back.”

Paimon saw Gu Wei’s firm attitude and knew not to insist, otherwise, he might cause annoyance.

Then, the group chatted for a while and then got up to leave.

Gu Wei escorted them to the door, squinting slightly, thinking to himself, ”If the Cosmic Emperor Nuazai doesn’t come over, how could you two small diplomatic personnel have any qualifications to visit Mr. Lu?”

Yes, unless the Cosmic Emperor comes over, he won’t make an introduction!
