Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Day by day, the days passed.

During these days, Lu Li would spend the daytime with Liu Kexin, and at night, once she fell asleep, he would accompany Li Yajing for a while. His days went by rather leisurely.

A week passed just like that.

During this week, although he didn’t absorb energy from the fifth dimension, the natural growth still caused his energy limit to skyrocket.

On the second day, it grew from 650 trillion star power to 3,250 trillion star power.

On the third day, it grew to 1.625 quintillion star power.

On the fourth day, it grew to 8.125 quintillion star power.

On the fifth day…

On the sixth day…

And then today, the seventh day.

His energy limit increased fivefold compared to the previous day.

Therefore, today it reached 50 quintillion star power, equivalent to one universe worth of power.

Well, it actually reached one universe’s power yesterday.

It’s just that the power had already reached its limit when it increased to this extent.

Lu Li wanted to increase his energy further, but he must undergo the eighth deep evolution.

After much consideration, he decided to delay entering the eighth deep evolution.

The primary reason is that Lu Li had foreseen earlier that if he underwent the eighth deep evolution, his cosmos might no longer be able to accommodate him.

By then, he would be compelled to part ways with his family and friends.

It was midday now; although the temperature outside was still low, the bright sunlight felt warm on the skin.

In Diamond Home.

Liu Kexin had gone to work at Vox.

Lu Li was alone in the living room.

He glanced at the “Pangu” intelligence report from the Galaxy Alliance.

The report contained several critical topics, mostly related to the Milky Way Galaxy.

Such as armed mutations in certain areas, or situations concerning people’s livelihood.

He did not pay much attention to these, but instead focused on a report about something unrelated to the Milky Way Galaxy.

This report mentioned that the Northern Crown and Hercules Great Wall was under siege by iron-based lifeforms.

The iron-based lifeform, code-named “Emperor,” hundreds of light years in size, seemed to systematically organize hundreds of iron-based lifeforms to wantonly slaughter sapient creatures within the Northern Crown of Hercules Great Wall.

Yes, only the sapient creatures are being slaughtered.

Lower intelligence creatures like tigers and lions were also killed, but not deliberately targeted.

Lu Li had sensed this event long ago; however, because it posed no threat to his family and friends’ safety, he did not take it seriously.

Upon seeing the report, he suddenly felt a strange sense of unease.

Iron-based lifeforms are indeed powerful, yet generally low in intelligence, only focused on basic needs like eating and excreting.

But now?

This group of iron-based lifeforms, under “Emperor’s” leadership, actually organized to harm sentient beings?

Lu Li contemplated: “Could it be that ‘Emperor,’ this iron-based lifeform, has developed advanced intelligence?”

He couldn’t grasp the reason; even if this iron-based lifeform developed advanced intelligence, why the wanton slaughter of sapient creatures?

“The crucial point is, iron-based lifeforms have the ability to open wormholes at any time, yet they chose the Northern Crown of Hercules Great Wall, the area most densely populated with sapient species in the cosmos.”

Lu Li felt the situation was more complex than it appeared, so he decided to observe first before taking any action.

Although he chose not to act rashly, one thing was certain: before leaving this cosmos, he would eliminate the iron-based lifeforms.

Otherwise, the threat they pose to sapient creatures is too great; if he leaves, his family and friends might not have time to use the Dragon Ball, and could be killed by iron-based lifeforms.

“Previously, I attempted to create a solar system with evolved life, but ultimately failed inexplicably.”

Lu Li silently speculated: “If I’m correct, evolving life requires a complete cosmos ecosystem; as to why it’s necessary, I don’t understand yet.”

Thus, iron-based lifeforms are most likely an extremely crucial condition for cosmic life evolution.

As for why this condition is needed, though he doesn’t understand at present, perhaps through observation, he can find the answers he seeks.

“I’ll set aside the iron-based lifeforms for now; my power has surged these days to reach one universe’s power. Perhaps I can try to penetrate the barrier of the sixth dimension and see if I can witness more phenomena.”

With this thought, Lu Li mobilized the energy within.

Easily breaking through the barriers of previous dimensions.

Soon, the energy reached the sixth dimension’s barrier.

Lu Li encountered the same situation as before, like a punch that landed softly on cotton.

He didn’t rush; instead, he harnessed more energy and charged forward again.

Failed!

Continue!

Failed again!

Persistence!

Still failed!

Damn it, I’m not accepting this!

His stubbornness flared; Lu Li mobilized half of his energy for a final assault.

If half the energy still couldn’t penetrate the sixth dimension’s barrier, he would give up.

After all, this amount was half the power of a universe, even with his vast energy, he couldn’t waste it indefinitely.

A stroke of luck occurred.

When he harnessed half the energy to strike, initially encountering a similar situation as before, that status lasted only a fleeting moment; the energy seemed to penetrate cotton, barely consuming much at all, reaching the sixth dimension.

Lu Li finally witnessed the occurrences within the sixth dimension.
