Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Small Magellanic Cloud, Perpetual Star.

The Eternal King stared at the imitation robot lying motionless on the ground, momentarily stunned.

It thought the Prophet had returned to the virtual world and tentatively called out to the air, ”Your great majesty, Prophet?”

There was silence, no response.

The large palace was quiet, except for the faint sound of guards patrolling outside; there was no other sound.

The Eternal King felt a bit perplexed. It was currying favor quite well, only to be suddenly rebuked by the Prophet, who then left without a word?

It thought it had somehow offended the Prophet, worrying about future retribution, and quickly called out softly again, ”Prophet, Your Highness?”

Suddenly, a response came, but unfortunately, it was not the Prophet’s voice.

A voice in a language unfamiliar yet understandable by the Eternal King sounded.

”Stop calling; it is already destroyed.”

What?

The Prophet has already been destroyed?

The Eternal King’s eyes widened, finding it incredibly hard to believe.

According to what the Eternal King knew, the Prophet had evolved to the level of a ”Self-Mastering” super artificial intelligence.

A super AI at this level is practically immortal unless its source code is destroyed.

The Prophet was clearly aware of this and surely hid the source code in a place unknown to anyone, making it nearly impossible to find.

After all, the vast cosmos is infinite; who knows on which distant planet the Prophet hid its source code?

Therefore, in the Eternal King’s understanding, the Prophet was an indestructible existence, capable of eternal existence.

Yet the unfamiliar voice now claims that the Prophet is destroyed?

Normally, the Eternal King would never believe such nonsense.

However, it suddenly remembered that the person the Prophet intended to confront was Lu Li, the one proclaimed the only True God in the cosmos.

If a god wanted to find the source code, it seemed not entirely impossible.

Therefore, this voice originating from the ether was likely from Lu Li.

And indeed, the Prophet had been destroyed by him.

At this thought, a bad omen was born in the Eternal King’s heart.

It tentatively asked the void, ”May I ask, are you the Land God?”

”Indeed.”

The Eternal King’s entire body quivered with liquid, like the fierce beating of a human heart.

It finally understood the supreme power of the only True God in the cosmos.

Even the Prophet, who evolved to become the God of Technology, could be effortlessly destroyed!

This made it intensely fearful but also mindful of self-preservation.

The Eternal King, without hesitation, ”plopped” to the ground, kneeling, with a fawning expression, and said, ”Great Land God, I finally have the fortune to communicate with you. Thank goodness you destroyed the Prophet, otherwise, I’d always be under threat. Thank you, thank you for destroying the Prophet.”

It immediately sought to dump the blame on the Prophet, rather than aligning with its original accomplice.

Lu Li chuckled and said, ”Since you know my name, you should understand one thing: whatever I want to know, no one can conceal it. You colluded with the Prophet and then invaded the Milky Way Galaxy. Did you really think I didn’t know?”

The Eternal King hadn’t anticipated such ”penetrating insight” from Lu Li, and its expression slightly changed.

Though still kneeling, its tone was no longer as servile as before, ”What do you plan to do?”

Lu Li replied nonchalantly, ”Nothing much, just intend to destroy the Eternal Motion Race and the entire Small Magellanic Cloud!”

At these words, the Eternal King sprang to its feet with a ”whirr” and replied with a cold smile, ”You want to annihilate my Eternal Motion Race and destroy the Small Magellanic Cloud?”

Lu Li said, ”So what if I do?”

”Ha ha, ha ha ha.” The Eternal King suddenly laughed, ”My Eternal Motion Race is spread throughout the Small Magellanic Cloud, with countless trillions of people. Do you think you can kill them all? Besides, our race isn’t confined to the Small Magellanic Cloud; we can flee to other star systems. In the vast cosmos, where would you find us? And the Small Magellanic Cloud is seven thousand light-years in diameter, with billions of stars. I’ve heard you can destroy star systems, but with billions of stars, how long do you plan to take to destroy them?”

In the Eternal King’s view, Lu Li’s ability to destroy star systems indeed involves terrifying power, but so what if you can destroy star systems? The Small Magellanic Cloud isn’t comprised of a single star system but billions. Even if you destroy ten star systems a day, it would still take millions of days.

Therefore, it believes Lu Li’s claim to annihilate the Man Race of the Eternal Motion Race is possible, provided they stay naively in the Small Magellanic Cloud awaiting extermination, but to utterly destroy the Cloud is just laughable!

Lu Li chuckled again, ”So the god in your understanding is such a weakling who cannot even destroy a Dwarf Star System? Very well, I won’t argue with you. Three Earth Days from now, you will see what happens. Oh, and one more thing, I’ll save you for last, so you may witness with your own eyes the extinction of the entire Eternal Motion Race and the destruction of the Small Magellanic Cloud!”

With that, the presence vanished, leaving no further sound.

The Eternal King stood in the palace, its expression fluctuating with uncertainty.

It had enough reason to believe that Lu Li was determined to annihilate the entire Eternal Motion Race.

Therefore, for the sake of its race, it must see to it that some of its people quickly escape the Small Magellanic Cloud and preserve their civilization’s ”seed.”
