Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

The Third Prince, with his thick eyebrows and large eyes, was identical to the figure from the Nineteenth Prince’s memories, so Su Han recognized him at a glance.

Just as the nine dragon sons are each unique, the nineteen sons of the Flying Immortal Great Emperor also had distinct appearances. There was the refined and elegant Second Prince, the thick-browed and big-eyed Third Prince, and the sharp-browed and starry-eyed Nineteenth Prince.

However, a slight resemblance lingered between the brows of all the princes, which allowed Su Han to identify them even faster.

The Third Prince was one of the foremost figures among the many princes. His innate talent and strength were beyond question; within the entire Heavenly Sword Dynasty, only the Heavenly Sword Crown Prince could truly suppress him. As for the Second Prince, the Third Prince had always been defiant of him.

However, Su Han’s impression of him stemmed from the incidents in Nanyang City and with the Haoran Sect. Whether it was the assassination plot in Nanyang City or the siege of the Haoran Sect, the Third Prince had been in cahoots with the Second Prince, placing him on Su Han’s kill list.

Su Han hadn’t expected to encounter the Third Prince the moment he entered the city.

What is he doing here? Did his attempt to flirt fail and backfire on him? The Third Prince is still a prince of the Heavenly Sword Dynasty, no matter what. Who would dare to publicly humiliate him like this?

Curious, Su Han activated his Nine Heavens Eye, his gaze piercing through the crowd to the center of the commotion. There, standing opposite the Third Prince, was a maiden in a white dress who looked about eighteen or nineteen years old.

The girl’s face was perfect, her features delicate, and her body graceful and flawless. Her skin was as fair as alabaster and as smooth as cream. Dressed in a white gown, her black hair fell like a waterfall down to her shapely hips. Her waist was as slender as a willow, and her rounded legs were long, as white and delicate as porcelain.

The maiden was the picture of perfection, her aura tinged with an ethereal quality. Unfortunately, the moment she opened her mouth, she shattered any semblance of a refined demeanor.

War Blood Holy Body!

Su Han’s eyes narrowed slightly as he recognized the Special Physique the white-dressed maiden possessed. It was ranked 1,099 on the list of Special Physiques and was said to contain the blood of the War God, allowing its wielder to grow increasingly valiant and ferocious as a battle raged on.

Supreme Realm Seventh Level!

Su Han assessed the maiden’s cultivation Realm. She seemed young, but her strength was extraordinary. She was clearly the prized daughter of some major power.

Who is this white-dressed maiden, and why is she in a conflict with the Third Prince?

Su Han was puzzled. At that moment, the maiden stood with her hands on her hips, her fiery temperament on full display as she loudly chastised the prince.

”I came here to participate in the Swordsmanship Tournament, not to waste my time with your nonsense! So scram! Go find a corner to cool off in and stay out of my way.”

The maiden spoke without a shred of politeness, showing no regard for the Third Prince’s dignity.

The Third Prince’s expression turned ugly. He had only heard of the white-dressed maiden’s reputation and wanted to introduce himself, hoping to win an ally, but he had been harshly rebuffed before he could even get two sentences out.

Having spent most of his time in the military, the Third Prince was used to speaking directly, and his intentions were plain to see. The entire crowd could now witness his embarrassment and anger. However, his opponent was clearly no ordinary person, so he dared not confront her openly.

Suppressing his anger, the Third Prince forced out some polite words. ”Miss Liu Xu, this prince merely wanted to greet you and make your acquaintance. Since you are unwilling, I will not impose. I will take my leave!” He did not want to continue this confrontation with Liu Xu. If the crowd of onlookers grew any larger, it wouldn’t just be his personal loss of face but a blow to the Imperial Family’s dignity.

Liu Xu?

Hearing the maiden’s name, Su Han was momentarily surprised. He turned to look at Li Mingliang with an inquisitive gaze.

”Your Highness, this Miss Liu Xu is also a proud daughter of heaven. She ranks number six hundred and sixty-six on the Hidden Dragon List and hails from the Ancient Liu Family!” Li Mingliang immediately understood Su Han’s unspoken question. Recalling that Su Han was headed for the Liu Family, he quickly explained.

The Ancient Liu Family!

Su Han had only suspected it, but he never thought it would be true. The Miss Liu Xu before him was indeed from the Ancient Liu Family, the very same place Fairy Sister Yun Xian had gone.

Perhaps I can learn about Fairy Sister Yun Xian’s recent situation from her!

Su Han felt a surge of excitement, but he quickly suppressed it. First, he was currently impersonating the Nineteenth Prince, and asking too many questions about Lu Yunxian would arouse suspicion. Second, Liu Xu’s fiery temper was such that she dared to confront even the Third Prince. If he approached her rashly, the result would surely be no better.

I’ll have to find an opportunity to get acquainted with her, then figure out a way to ask my questions. Haste makes waste, Su Han thought, reining in his excitement. In any case, Liu Xu was here for the Swordsmanship Tournament, so she probably wouldn’t leave until it was over.

With this in mind, Su Han’s gaze toward Liu Xu filled with anticipation. I wonder how Fairy Sister Yun Xian is faring in the Ancient Liu Family!

”Third Prince, is it? I’ll remember you,” Liu Xu said, her lips curling in a disdainful smirk, clearly holding him in no regard. ”I hope you can last a few rounds in the Swordsmanship Tournament. It would be terribly boring if you were defeated before I even had a chance to act.

”At the tournament, I’m going to defeat you personally to teach you that you can’t just hit on anyone you please!”

Her innate talent and strength were extraordinary, and she was a genius of the sword path. This time, she considered the three Demon Swordsmen to be her true opponents. In her eyes, the rest—including the prince before her—were nothing more than pushovers.

Liu Xu’s words deeply stung the Third Prince, causing his hand, hidden in his sleeve, to clench into a fist. Never before had he been so belittled, and by a woman no less!

The Third Prince had a strong sense of male pride and couldn’t stand this kind of humiliation. But in front of such a large crowd, he couldn’t possibly attack Liu Xu. Even with rage burning inside him, he had no choice but to swallow it and maintain the decorum expected of a prince.

”Since Miss Liu Xu is so confident, then this prince shall await you at the Swordsmanship Tournament!”

With that, the Third Prince turned and left, unwilling to stay and aggravate himself further.

This Liu Xu is truly a rose covered in thorns, impossible to approach. But I won’t forget this grudge so easily.

”Hmm?”

Su Han’s expression shifted as his Nine Heavens Eye witnessed something no one else saw. The Third Prince had subtly cast a mark that landed on Liu Xu. The mark was extremely faint and indistinct, and it had no energy fluctuations whatsoever. As a result, even Liu Xu herself was completely unaware of it.

A tracking mark? Or does it have some other function?

Because of the dense crowd, Su Han couldn’t get a clear sense of it. But a mark like this was most likely for tracking purposes. It seemed the Third Prince hadn’t given up and had more schemes in store.

The Third Prince has always projected an image of being straightforward and brash, but now it seems that might not be the case. Su Han’s gaze sharpened as he saw another side of the prince.

By now, the Third Prince and his entourage had departed, Liu Xu had also left, and the crowd was gradually dispersing. The commotion seemed to be over, but Su Han knew this was only the beginning.

Interesting!
