Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

A mere Nanyang City could hardly quell Su Han’s raging fury. Moreover, the Second Prince and the Third Prince were the masterminds this time. Even if he could not kill them for now, he had to make them pay a heavy price.

As the Golden Chariot departed Nanyang City, everyone inside breathed a collective sigh of relief. This God of Slaughter was finally gone. Had he stayed any longer, who knew how many more would have died. Su Han’s act of revenge had also made the people of Nanyang City wary, leaving them with a much deeper impression of the Nineteenth Prince.

”Your Highness, not far from here in Dongming City, there is a Li Family that specializes in making armor,” Li Mingliang reported, having already collected a great deal of information. ”They are a vassal power of the Third Prince!”

This time, Su Han intended to take his revenge openly. It was not just about Nanyang City; he wanted to eradicate anyone related to the Second and Third Princes. His plan was fourfold. First, annihilating these vassals would not only weaken the power of the Second and Third Princes but also allow him to acquire substantial spoils. Second, he could use these battles for Li Qingyue’s sword practice, accelerating her Martial Arts training and helping her grow stronger. Third, such brazen retaliation would make it obvious to any discerning person that the massacre in Nanyang City was related to the Second and Third Princes. Fourth, seeking revenge so publicly would attract significant attention. The Second and Third Princes would be forced to hesitate, fearing repercussions, which for a Su Han who had lost the protection of the Crane Sword Saint and the Sword-shaped Jade Pendant, was a form of protection in itself.

It was a plan that killed four birds with one stone. When Li Mingliang learned of it, he was filled with utter admiration for Su Han. He could not fathom how Su Han, despite his young age, could be so monstrously clever. Not only did he possess exceptional Martial Arts talent, but his strategic thinking was also remarkably astute. At this thought, he grew even more grateful for his past decision. Only by following such a person could one reach greater heights!

「Dongming City!」

It was just a medium-sized city, nowhere near as grand and imposing as Nanyang City. The Li Family was its local tyrant. By currying favor with the Third Prince, the annual armor orders for the army alone allowed them to make a fortune.

At this moment, the Li Family was holding a grand banquet, bustling with activity. Today was the joyous occasion of the patriarch taking his thirteenth concubine.

”Welcome, everyone! Please enjoy the feast, and don’t leave until you’re drunk!”

The Patriarch of the Li Family, his hair and beard completely white, was eighty-seven years old. However, as a Supreme Realm Third Layer expert, he possessed formidable strength and a robust Physical Body, showing few signs of old age. This year, he had taken a fancy to a sixteen-year-old virgin, coercing her into becoming his concubine through threats and bribes. Addicted to lust, he already had one wife, twelve concubines, and numerous mistresses outside the family, yet he remained unsatisfied. Old but vigorous, he wanted to continue expanding the Li Family’s lineage.

”Congratulations to Patriarch Li on taking a new concubine! It seems the Li Family will soon be even more prosperous!”

”Indeed! The more prosperous the Li Family is, the happier we are. We rely on your family for so much!”

”Patriarch Li, you must drink a few more cups today! Wine enhances the joy of the occasion!”

The guests were all smiles, showering Patriarch Li with flattery. His face was flushed with success, and he was brimming with unconcealable pride and joy.

”The bride is here!”

A loud shout drew everyone’s attention. A bride in full wedding attire, her head covered with a red veil, was slowly escorted in by her maids. This was the young virgin who had been forcibly taken by Patriarch Li.

However, just then, sobbing could be heard from under the veil. It was clearly the bride, and her cries were loud enough for many to hear.

”Hmph!” Patriarch Li’s face darkened. He strode over and ripped the red veil away.

A beautifully made-up young woman was weeping, her face a picture of utter heartbreak. She already had a sweetheart and had no desire to marry Patriarch Li. Overcome by sorrow, she had been unable to stop herself from crying.

”On such a joyous day, what is the meaning of this crying? It’s a disgrace! Stop it at once!” he berated.

The bride was so frightened by his roar that she collapsed to the floor, her delicate body trembling uncontrollably. Seeing this, Patriarch Li frowned, his eyes turning grim.

This is a public slap in my face!

Suddenly, the bride mustered courage from somewhere. Under everyone’s watchful eyes, she scrambled to her feet and dashed toward the main gate. She did not want to marry Patriarch Li; she wanted to escape this hell and be free.

”You’re seeking death!”

The bride’s escape sent Patriarch Li into a full-blown rage. He thrust out his hand, and his Spiritual Energy converged into a giant hand that clawed toward the fleeing girl. He was going to drag back this bride who had shamed him and torture her to death.

Witnessing this, the crowd fell deathly silent, not daring to make a sound. They averted their gazes, unwilling to watch the gruesome scene that was about to unfold.

”No!” the bride shrieked, her face paling with terror as the hand of Spiritual Energy closed in.

However, just as the hand was about to grab her, a flash of sword light suddenly appeared. It sliced through the Spiritual Energy construct, saving the bride. Proving to be quite brave, she seized the opportunity and fled for her life, quickly vanishing through the doorway.

The bride had escaped.

Patriarch Li’s face darkened, his eyes burning with rage. ”Who dares to ruin my affairs?”

He snapped his head up, searching for the source of the sword light. He intended to execute them in front of everyone as a warning. But the next moment, his expression froze, and his eyes widened in shock.

A Golden Chariot was slowly descending, coming to a halt above the Li residence.

A prince has arrived? Which prince is it, and what is he doing here?

Patriarch Li was full of doubt, but he did not dare show an ounce of disrespect. He quickly fell to his knees and kowtowed deeply.

”Li Mingde of the Li Family pays his respects to Your Highness the Prince!”

The other guests were also stunned. One after another, they knelt and kowtowed. To them, a prince was an untouchable figure of the highest authority. Still, everyone was puzzled, wondering which prince this was and why he had come.

”You are the patriarch of the Li Family?” a cold, bone-chilling voice asked from the Golden Chariot.

”Your Highness, I am indeed the patriarch of the Li Family!” Li Mingde replied, his heart pounding with trepidation.

The next moment, a bolt of Slaughter Sword Qi howled out, shooting straight for him.

Li Mingde was horrified. He instinctively deployed his Domain and, gripping his sword, used all his strength to block the attack. But he was too weak. He was merely at the Supreme Realm Third Layer and did not even possess a Holy Artifact.

The Slaughter Sword Qi tore through his Domain and struck him. His body went rigid, and then, under the shocked gazes of the crowd, he was sliced in two. His corpse fell to the ground with a thud.

”Today, the Li Family shall be eradicated!”

Su Han’s voice rang out from the Golden Chariot once more. Then, Li Mingliang and Li Qingyue descended and, drawing their swords, slaughtered every member of the Li Family.

On this day, the Li Family of Dongming City, which had long plagued the region, was exterminated.
