Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

Revenge was a must. Su Han’s character had always been clear-cut when it came to gratitude and grudges; he always repaid his debts, especially those of enmity. Furthermore, meekly swallowing his anger did not fit the persona of the Nineteenth Prince. But how to take revenge was an art, and this time, Su Han planned to make a grand spectacle of it.

”First, spread the news to create public opinion. Then, surround the City Lord’s Mansion and the Iron Grinding Saint’s residence. I will have my revenge in public!”

Su Han issued his orders, commanding Li Mingliang to spread the word. At the same time, he summoned the palace attendants he had brought with him and sent them to besiege the City Lord’s Mansion and the Iron Grinding Saint’s residence. These attendants were not exceptionally powerful, but at this moment, they represented the Nineteenth Prince. Their presence alone was a great deterrent, making direct action unnecessary.

Soon, the news spread throughout Nanyang City, instantly causing an uproar among the populace.

”What? The City Lord plotted against the Nineteenth Prince?”

”Impossible! The City Lord is doing everything he can to curry favor with the Nineteenth Prince. How could he dare to plot against him? That’s a capital offense punishable by beheading.”

”I heard the City Lord is backed by another prince. He teamed up with the Iron Grinding Saint to use this opportunity to eliminate the Nineteenth Prince. Ah, the struggle between the princes is growing more intense!”

For a moment, Nanyang City was in an uproar, with countless people stunned by the news. At that moment, Su Han, having changed into a new Python Robe, appeared before the public, radiating a murderous aura.

”City Lord Bai Xu feigned loyalty but secretly conspired with the Iron Grinding Saint,” Li Mingliang declared loudly, standing beside Su Han to announce the crimes and pass public judgment. ”Using a treasured sword as bait, they lured His Highness the Nineteenth Prince into the Yuelan Ancient Battlefield. With malicious intent, they murdered the Crane Sword Saint and ambushed His Highness. Thankfully, the Nineteenth Prince possessed a treasure gifted by the Emperor and killed both of them on the spot.”

”City Lord Bai Xu and the Iron Grinding Saint plotted against a prince, an unforgivable crime. Today, the sentence will be carried out in public. Their entire clans will be annihilated!”

”Kill!”

Su Han uttered only a single word, but it sent a chill down everyone’s spine, a terrifying killing intent washing over them.

Li Mingliang nodded. Gripping a sharp sword, he fused with his Physique and stepped into the City Lord’s Mansion without hesitation. Everyone, from the City Lord’s wife down to the maids and servants, was gathered there.

”Spring Thunder Sword Technique!”

A flash of sword light erupted, accompanied by a clap of thunder. The City Lord’s wife’s head was instantly severed, flying high into the air as blood splattered everywhere.

Elsewhere, Li Qingyue and a few other attendants began the executions. They made no effort to conceal their actions, throwing open the gates of the City Lord’s Mansion so the commoners outside could see everything clearly.

There were a few powerful individuals within the City Lord’s Mansion, such as the son of Bai Xu Saint, who was an expert of the Supreme Realm.

Su Han made his move. ”Sun, Moon, and Stars Triple Forms: Piercing Star!”

Wielding the Soul Severing Sword, he pierced the brow of Bai Xu Saint’s son with a single strike. With him presiding, no one could escape.

In the end, over a thousand people in the City Lord’s Mansion were slaughtered. Heads rolled, corpses littered the ground, and blood flowed in rivers. The thick, nauseating stench of iron filled the air.

”Next!”

Sword in hand, Su Han flew towards the Iron Grinding Saint’s residence, his aura murderous. The Saint’s home was more modest than the City Lord’s Mansion, housing fewer than three hundred people, including family and disciples. Su Han showed no mercy, once again carrying out a public execution and annihilating the Iron Grinding Saint’s entire clan.

”Hang all the bodies from the city walls! I want the world to know the consequences of plotting against me!” Su Han declared fiercely, revealing a ruthless side that made every citizen shrink back in fear, not daring to speak out.

The Nineteenth Prince was indeed as arrogant as the rumors claimed. His methods of vengeance were too bloody, too cruel. But in this matter, he held the moral high ground, so no one could say a word, though their hearts trembled with unease.

The heavy scent of blood lingered over Nanyang City for days, and the corpses on the walls became a grim spectacle. The news of this event spread with lightning speed, and soon, it was not just Nanyang City that was shaken, but all of Haozhou and even the entire Heavenly Sword Dynasty.

Conspiring against a prince!

This was no ordinary crime. It was not merely murder, but a treasonous act that warranted the extermination of nine generations of one’s clan. Throughout history, such events were rare, but each time they occurred, heads rolled and rivers of blood flowed.

”Did Bai Xu Saint lose his mind? How dare he plot against a prince, especially the ascendant Nineteenth Prince? What was he thinking?”

”I heard Bai Xu Saint and the Iron Grinding Saint teamed up, intending to use the Yuelan Ancient Battlefield to assassinate the Nineteenth Prince, but he saw through their plot. It’s terrifying to think about. If the Nineteenth Prince had actually died there, their plan would have succeeded.”

”The Nineteenth Prince must have incredible luck. I heard he used a treasure from the Emperor to turn the tables and kill both Bai Xu Saint and the Iron Grinding Saint. Now, not only did their plot fail, but they dragged their families down with them. As soon as the Nineteenth Prince returned to Nanyang City, he flew into a rage and began exterminating their clans.”

Countless people discussed the affair; the news was simply too explosive. As for Su Han’s bloody revenge, the public had little to say. It was considered a normal response. Even if the matter were reported to the Imperial Court, the outcome would likely have been the same. And the Nineteenth Prince was famously arrogant; how could he possibly restrain himself after such an offense?

However, what perplexed most people was why Bai Xu Saint and the Iron Grinding Saint would do such a thing. Plotting against the Nineteenth Prince offered them no benefit, only immense risk.

Of course, many astute individuals looked past the two Saints and guessed the true mastermind behind the scenes. But since the affair involved the conflict between princes, no one dared to speak recklessly, lest they attract disaster upon themselves. It simply wasn’t worth the risk.

After this incident, the Nineteenth Prince’s fame soared to new heights. His name thundered across the Heavenly Sword Dynasty.

Back in Nanyang City, Su Han, accompanied by Li Mingliang and Li Qingyue, had finished seizing the assets of the City Lord’s Mansion and the Iron Grinding Saint’s residence, acquiring numerous treasures in the process.

”Qingyue, this Ice Frost Holy Sword suits your Yin Sword Body well, so I’m giving it to you. You can switch to a more suitable sword when you find one in the future.” Su Han took out the Ice Frost Holy Sword and gifted it to Li Qingyue.

”There’s also this Crimson Flame Holy Sword, crafted by the Iron Grinding Saint. I will lend it to you for now!” After some thought, Su Han produced the Crimson Flame Holy Sword and handed it to Li Mingliang. Of course, unlike with Li Qingyue, the sword was merely a loan, as Li Qingyue held a more important place in Su Han’s heart.

”Thank you, Mr. Su!”

In private, the two no longer addressed him as ’Your Highness,’ reverting to ’Mr. Su.’ Both Li Qingyue and Li Mingliang were captivated by the Ice Frost Holy Sword and the Crimson Flame Holy Sword, unable to put them down. These were Holy Swords, after all. Since the decline of the Myriad Swords Sect, they had not seen such weapons in a very long time.

”Your Highness, where do we go next?” Li Mingliang asked after admiring the Crimson Flame Holy Sword for a while. Their business in Nanyang City was concluded. Although they would certainly be leaving, their next destination was still unknown.

”We continue our revenge,” Su Han said, his eyes glinting with a cold, ferocious light, his killing intent surging like a tidal wave. ”We will kill our way to Sword Province!”

The vengeance had only just begun.
