Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)

APRIL

I cannot believe this girl is very shameless.. dragging me like a thug in the open street, I kept on shouting at her to leave me, then someone from nowhere punched her in the face..

”Oh my goodness...” I exclaimed the moment her grip loosened. I barely covered my mouth...

I was about to touch Angel and ask if she was okay..

”How dare you treat a woman like that?”

The loud, confident voice cut through the noisy street, making my head snap sideways to see who had dared to lay a hand on the tall Alpha.

Then the girl who punched Angel held my hand..

Her firm, protective grip wrapped around my fingers, pulling me back half a step to put her own body right between me and Angel’s dark, furious presence.

”April, are you okay?”

It was Benny who punched her..

My wide eyes blinked behind my round glasses, my mind spinning fast as I tried to connect the sudden physical defense with my ex Crush.

”What the fuck... you... Anita.”

Angel’s angry face changed instantly the moment she saw Benny’s face...

Her hand froze right above her cheekbone, the raw, lethal fire in her crimson eyes flickering out, replaced by a strange, disbelieving shock that made her jaw drop.

It turns out that Benny happens to have a twin sister who is an Alpha, and Angel mistook Benita Goodman for Anita Goodman...

We stopped by a café due to the crowd watching the commotion.. which happened to be us..

And I happened to work around there, don’t want to come to work tomorrow and have eyes on me..

”Oh, I’m sorry I did not call. I came to return a few books and I saw her dragging you against your will, and I reacted on my first instinct...” Benny apologized..

She offered the soft explanation while keeping her posture straight, her eyes shifting briefly toward Angel before settling back on my flushed face.

”It’s okay, you did the right thing, Benny... she was dragging me against my will.. I appreciate it...” I said..

I adjusted my glasses on the bridge of my nose, my raspy voice attempting to sound composed and calm while my lower belly still ached with lingering heat.

Obviously Angel was dragging me against my will, even though I was still following her...

Never expected Angel to be at my workplace demanding for sex..

Something I had been waiting for...

The traitorous thought rushed straight through my mind, making my heart flutter wildly as I remembered her broad hands pressing down on my hips two nights ago.

But I was just playing tough so it wouldn’t give Angel the impression that I was desperate...

Not going to give her that chance...

”It seems you have closed for the day?” Benny said..

”Yes, my shift is over... I was on my way home..”

”Are you busy today, do you have other plans?” Benny asked..

Her voice carried a light, inviting warmth, her eyes searching mine with a gentle curiosity that felt light-years away from the dark storm sitting next to us.

”Yes, she has other plans, and I would like for you to go away.... bye-bye...” Angel, who had been focusing on her face, staring at a hand mirror, returned her attention to us..

She snapped the compact mirror shut with a sharp, aggressive click, her crimson eyes pinning Benny with an icy, absolute authority that made the air freeze.

Benny stared at her in confusion.

”I’m sorry, but do you two know each other?”

”Yes, she is Angel, my step-sister...”

”We are not step-sisters. I have told you from time to time not to use that word.. you are not my step-sister...” Angel said.

God, this girl is not even trying to be a normal person for once....

I pressed my lips together in absolute frustration, my mind screaming at her to just act like a decent human being for 5 consecutive minutes.

”April, can I talk to you in private...?” Benny asked..

”Of course...”

We both stood up and went to the corner, and I swear I noticed Angel’s eyes glued to our movements..

A hot prickle of heat ran up the back of my neck, feeling the intense, unyielding burn of her crimson gaze piercing straight through my shoulder blades.

”I know today is not the day you come to the orphanage, but Diana’s birthday is today, and we are planning a surprise party for her tonight. Would you like to be the fairy princess?”

Benny kept her voice down to a soft, friendly murmur, her hands clasped together in front of her as she offered the sweet invitation.

I don’t know what to say, because something else was on my mind...

But Diana is a sweet and lovely kid, and that would be a good thing to do..

”I don’t mind paying you for that...” Benny offered quickly..

”No, no need to pay, Benny. That girl is a very nice kid. I would rather do this as charity..”

I shook my head firmly, adjusting my round glasses as a genuine, small smile finally broke through the tense fog clouding my mind.

”Thank you so much. I will let Sister Mary know you agreed...” Benny said happily as she decided to dial Mary’s number..

Then my head turned to check on Angel, only for me to see her close to us. She wasn’t that close, still sitting at a table close to where we stood, but I was sure the table we were all sitting at was at the very far end...

How on earth did she get here...

I walked up to her..

”Are you done with the Beta? Let’s go home..” she said, then stood up..

”I have somewhere to go..” I announced

”Where are you going... you are supposed to be home by now?”

Her eyebrows pulled down tight, her deep voice carrying a sharp, bossy tone that made the hairs on my arms stand straight up.

And now she is acting like my mother, who always monitored my movement..

”I don’t have to tell you my personal life...” I said to her.

”You don’t have a personal life... the only personal life you have is reading...”

She sneered the harsh words right down at me, her lips curling into that arrogant, infuriating smirk that always made my blood boil hot.

”Angel, please go home... Benny and I have somewhere to be...”

I gestured toward Benny, who was currently finishing up her phone call by the window near the front entrance of the café.

”I don’t know what you are doing with Anita’s twin sister, but wherever you are going, I am going..”

Huh?

My mind blanked out for a full second, my eyes wide behind my glasses as I stared up at her total, unbothered audacity.

”Why do you want to follow me...?”

”Because I am the oldest, and I am to look after you... plus, I don’t want you ending up in bad hands like last time..”

I really thought Angel was going to go back to her old ways after the night we spent, but now she has become possessive of me...

I’m guessing... just like in the book, when the drunk sister spent the night with the MC, she became too possessive that she followed her like a puppy...

Is Angel Morningstar now my puppy?
