Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 729: Soul Stirring

Having resolved the Divine Emperor’s problem, Liora didn’t communicate with Janna any further.

After exchanging a couple of words and advising her to continue practicing, she hurriedly left the mansion.

She still had certain matters she had to deal with.

With a thought, Liora’s figure appeared in front of the Cosmic Universe’s membrane, having reached the edge of this world.

Then, with a casual swipe of her hand, the membrane instantly parted, creating a large gap.

Without any hesitation, Liora stepped inside, entering the Origin Sea.

Looking at the familiar landscape, Liora softly exhaled.

In the past, the Cosmic Universe had restricted exit from the universe while allowing entry. This was a method to limit the loss of World Origin.

Since that was one of its operating rules, even Liora, with Rank 14 strength, would have trouble getting out of the universe.

Now, however, this was simpler than ever.

With a single step, the Cosmic Universe had disappeared behind her.

A familiar bottomless darkness appeared around Liora—the Origin Sea.

A cold atmosphere permeated this place.

What attracted Liora’s attention, however, was the power of destruction still remaining in the Origin Sea.

The Hollow Ancestor’s Tribulation!

The Demon World’s punishment had been directly engraved into this area. Even without anyone controlling it, it would not dissipate.

Let alone a few hours; even if thousands or millions of years passed, the aura of destruction would remain there.

For powerful beings, it would become something worthy of studying.

As for those weaker…

Liora extended her hand and reached her finger into the affected area.

The moment she did, black lightning flashed before rushing toward her.

Before she could react, the lightning arrived before her and drilled into her body through the outstretched finger.

It coursed through her, trying to destroy her very being.

Liora closed her eyes and estimated the lightning’s power.

Soon, she came to a conclusion.

Only Rank 14 beings could possibly withstand it. Anyone weaker would instantly perish.

Moreover, this was just the edge of the affected area. Once one drew closer to its epicenter, the aura of destruction would grow stronger accordingly.

Perhaps even Ancient Devils at the pinnacle of that stage would be in danger near its center.

Liora looked at the affected area with a stern gaze.

She could sense that after leaving the Cosmic Universe, her strength had declined.

Although she was still stronger than her “base” form, it was far from reaching the level of strength she possessed within the world.

Fortunately, Liora had no need for the Cosmic Universe’s assistance.

With a step forward, she entered the Domain of Destruction.

Instantly, more black lightning flashed.

This time, it wasn’t one or two strands.

Instead, the entire Domain rioted, as though the scene of the Tribulation falling was being recreated.

Countless bolts of black lightning surged toward her.

These strands instantly struck her.

Liora’s body paused for a brief moment, and the destruction seemed to have affected her.

But just then, silver runes flashed across her body.

The previous usage of Return to the Origin had used the black lightning as fuel to temper her physique.

Now, although she was not completely immune to its effects, she had no issue withstanding it.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Black lightning continuously struck Liora, only to be neutralized by the silver runes surrounding her body.

Confirming that she faced no danger, Liora no longer lingered.

She continued walking deeper into the Domain.

Step by step, she drew closer to the area where the “Human Emperor” and the Hollow Ancestor had once stood.

With each step, the power of the black lightning grew stronger.

Even with the silver runes’ assistance, Liora had to remain cautious.

Fortunately, it never became powerful enough to truly threaten her.

Before long, Liora stood at the center of the Domain of Destruction.

Here, the concept of destruction, which should have been illusory and difficult to grasp, was visible to the naked eye.

Liora’s eyes flashed as she concentrated on its traces.

Many insights instantly emerged in her mind. The concept of Destruction she had understood made significant progress.

Admiration flashed across her face.

“It’s only the remnant traces of the Demon World’s punishment, which have passed through the entire Origin Sea and should have been weakened, yet they are strong enough to grant me so many insights.”

The stronger she became, the more Liora understood the Demon World’s power.

It was unfathomable!

Let alone Ancient Devils, even Princesses of the Demon World were nothing before it!

… Or at the very least, even with the help of the Cosmic Universe, Liora would struggle to defend herself if it wanted to kill her.

“However, that is also a good thing.”

“It means that my path to growing stronger has yet to come to an end. Even becoming a true Princess of the Demon World is not the end.”

Liora organized her thoughts.

Although she had dealt with everything that needed her attention in the Cosmic Universe, she was not planning to return to the Demon World so soon.

She intended to raise her strength to the limit before leaving.

“Practicing the Primordial Sin Art is the easiest way to raise my power. By consuming the World Origin of the universe in combination with Profane Offering, I can continuously create and upgrade my Sin Avatars.”

“A single Gluttony Avatar raised my combat prowess significantly. If all seven of them are born, the power they will be able to exert will be shocking.”

Things did not end there.

Liora could sense that most of the worlds in this world cluster had been destroyed as a result of the previous Tribulation, affected by its aftermath.

Whether it was visiting them to gain insights, devouring them herself, or simply letting the Cosmic Universe swallow them and convert them to World ORIGIN, Liora had many uses for these worlds.

Before she returned to the Demon World, Liora had the chance to let her strength undergo another major transformation.

Of course, before doing that, she had to deal with the last remaining troubles.

With that thought, Liora looked at the center of the Destruction Domain.

Besides her, there seemed to be nothing here.

Yet as the power of the Cosmic Universe blessed her, Liora came face to face with an illusory body.

It was a soul.

The soul of someone she was very familiar with.

The “Human Emperor”!

Yet unlike the last time the two had met, when he had been majestic and arrogant, his current state was completely different.

He was weak, seemingly deep in slumber.

Even an ordinary person could kill him by merely blowing on his soul and extinguishing it.

With Liora’s current strength, there was no way he could threaten her.

Even enslaving him was possible, as was turning him into a puppet.

“But there is no reason to take any risks. I don’t lack the help of such a powerhouse.”

“All I need to know is a few things. And there is a far easier way to learn everything I need to know.”

The moment that thought formed, the “Human Emperor’s” soul moved toward Liora.

Then, without any hesitation, she directly devoured it.

A torrent of information flooded her mind, containing the memories of the “Human Emperor”.

His life. The world he once lived in. His many insights.

Liora’s attention was initially focused on these.

Yet soon, something else caught her attention.

Her eyes widened in surprise.

She felt something at the depths of her soul stir.

Without her needing to do anything, a familiar translucent screen appeared in her field of vision.
