Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 325: Slaughter

Almost a thousand flickering lights suddenly appeared in a pale white sky and streaked through it.

As if it were a star shower, the lights quickly fell down and landed on the continent right below.

With a bang, Liora felt her feet touch the ground.

Ignoring the small crater beneath her and the dust flying all over the place, she patted her shoulders lightly and rose to her feet.

Immediately, a crimson land appeared before her eyes. Stretching endlessly and without any signs of life, it closely resembled the Demon World.

Even the chaotic and brutal atmosphere was also there, almost making Liora believe that she had returned to her hometown.

”Fortunately, this is not the Demon World...”, Liora shook her head before she turned to the side.

Instantly, a crimson light flashed on her forehead and shot out.

A shrill cry followed.

In the direction she was looking, a blurry humanoid figure appeared and stared at her with bloodthirsty eyes.

However, it was currently entangled with a crimson saber, unable to reach her location.

The saber moved on its own and continuously struck at the figure, leaving behind wounds of varying sizes.

Although golden light flashed and tried to help the figure recover, it was all for naught.

Only a few seconds later, the saber tore apart the figure and returned to Liora.

With a wave of her hands, an item emerged and settled in her hands. It was a small piece of metal, seemingly having broken off an iron armor.

Yet, as soon as Liora opened her mouth, the metal disappeared and transformed into white mist that soon entered her body.

Under the operation of the World Devourer Method, the World Origin was quickly devoured.

”It’s said that there are countless demons and Evil Spirits inside the Demon God’s Cemetery. It now seems to be the truth.”

”I’ve only just entered this place, and I’ve already been targeted by an Evil Spirit...”, Liora couldn’t help but mutter.

According to the information she had collected before coming, the Demon God’s Cemetery was the location where an ancient battle had occurred.

With hundreds of Demon Saints and even Demon Sovereigns participating and dying here, a large amount of resentment had gathered.

”The resentment turned into Evil Spirits, while the blood and flesh of the fallen transformed into demons.”, a sentence she had read in an ancient book emerged in Liora’s mind, though she had no way of confirming its authenticity.

It was true that the fall of the strong could affect the world around them.

For example, when Liora ”died” in the world of Knights, a sea of blood had emerged and devoured half of the continent.

Still, she strongly doubted that the death of a bunch of Demon Saints could cause such a thing.

In her opinion, only the death of several Demon Sovereigns could possibly create a place like the Demon God’s Cemetery.

Shaking her head, Liora pushed this matter aside and turned her focus to the situation at hand.

Her consciousness entered her space ring and took a small token out.

The moment she touched it, Liora sensed that it was connected with more than a dozen other people.

Using this token, she could sense their locations and, if she wanted, could choose to meet up with them.

”The Clan Head really values his daughter...”

”Afraid that I would suffer in this place, he prepared more than a dozen guards for me...”, Liora chuckled, and with a move of her hand, she tossed the token far away.

She could see that the other token holders could also sense her position, and if she were to keep this thing with her, they would surely come to ”protect” her.

Unfortunately, although having a bunch of cannon fodder might be somewhat useful, it went against Liora’s plans.

Thinking of this, Liora did not stay here for long. The next second, her figure flashed away.

--

”A mere demon dares to block my way! If you were an Evil Spirit, I might have been careful!”

”But even a trash like you dares to provoke me!”

In a large clearing, a young man and a demon were facing each other.

Unlike the demons in the outside world, who could judge the situation, the demons in the Demon God’s Cemetery were all bloodthirsty and mindless.

No matter how powerful their opponents were, they would rush to devour them, as if they were not afraid of death.

Ignoring the young man’s powerful aura, the leopard-looking demon shot forward and used its claws to tear him apart.

The man became furious.

With a thought, a spear covered in crimson veins materialized in his hands, and he thrust it forward.

Without facing much resistance, the spear’s tip pierced through his opponent’s head, harvesting its life.

”Damn it! Even a demon who has not become a Weapon Master dares to cause me trouble!”, the young man couldn’t help but curse as he approached the corpse, planning to let his spear devour it.

But just then, the man sensed a faint movement behind him.

Before he could react, a hand slapped his head from above, smashing it into his sternum.

Just as a golden light flashed to help him recover, a tiny red blade entered his body.

It slashed through his brain, muscles, and internal organs, and just like he had done to the demon before, harvested his life.

In a split second, the body of the Weapon Master disintegrated.

Even the golden light flickering violently was unable to keep him alive, as if a higher-level power had wiped him out.

”This is already the 14th...”, Liora took back her Manifestation and muttered, feeling that the Indestructible Matter had now covered more than 95% of her soul.

”Such a chaotic place is indeed the most suitable for me.”

”Killing so many Weapon Masters would have long attracted the attention of powerful people in the outside world.”

”But in here, the death of dozens of Weapon Masters has gone completely unnoticed.”, she thought as she let her Demon Weapon devour the demon corpse and even the Demon Weapon of the young man.

Sensing the feedback sent by the umbrella, Liora couldn’t help but feel satisfied.

The Demon God’s Cemetery was indeed her lucky place.

She could slay Evil Spirits to obtain World Origin, kill Divine Race members for Indestructible Matter, and even devour demons and Demon Weapons to improve her umbrella.

Even if she ended up having no other gains in the cemetery, just these were more than enough.

Just as Liora was about to resume her journey, her eyes suddenly narrowed, and her head moved to the side.

Subconsciously, she couldn’t help but look into the distance, at the place where a faint movement that interested her had just occurred.
