“I, Osmanthus, though unworthy, vow to guard the Demon Court for a hundred years in your absence…”

At the drop of these words, a deathly silence fell upon the air.

And then…

*Booooom…* A sudden roar erupted, and with it, a surge of intense moonlight flared up from the ground, centered around that ethereal figure.

*Rumble…* Yet another deafening explosion followed as the cold, radiant moonlight shrouded the Heavens and Earth in a misty glow.

At that moment, a Silver Tree, cloaked in a chilling frost, burst forth from the ground behind the ethereal figure.

*Rumble, rumble…* With increasingly terrifying tremors, the earth cracked open.

One after another, tree roots as massive as Giant Pythons slithered outward, spreading in all directions.

Meanwhile, the silver branches, bathing in a soft, hazy glow, stretched toward the sky, reaching ever higher into the Heavens.

Like a woman dancing gracefully beneath the moon, it looked elegant and enchanting.

It was a beauty—one beyond comparison.

Except, beneath that beauty, an oppressive aura loomed, suffocating and inescapable. She was strong, so overwhelmingly strong that even breathing became difficult in her presence.

Even those as powerful as Nine Tails and Sarcosuchus, both Peak Tier-5 True Gods, were left shocked, their gazes locked onto this misty figure bathing in the moonlight.

“The Immortal Sweet Osmanthus… extraordinary… truly extraordinary…” With a soft murmur of admiration, a subtle, knowing smile played at the corners of Yu Zi Yu’s lips.

He had not expected that, in the time they had been apart, Osmanthus would bring him such a pleasant surprise.

Her Bloodline had fully awakened, and she had ascended from a Spirit Tree to a Divine Tree.

Though she was merely a Lower Divine Tree, she still possessed the true majesty of a Divine Tree nevertheless.

More importantly, Osmanthus had been nourished by the Lunar Energy of the Celestial Realm for an extended period, making her even more extraordinary.

Just from aura, Yu Zi Yu could tell that she had already reached the Half-Step Tier-6, on par with the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

However, that was not the truly significant part.

What was most important was the Immortal name she bore. Rooted in a place rich with Lunar Energy, Osmanthus was Immortal and Indestructible. Even if her body were torn asunder, she would regenerate.

And now, following her full Bloodline Awakening, this unique trait had manifested as her Moonlight Domain.

Divine Ability: Moonlight Domain—Using one’s bloodline as a medium, this terrifying Divine Ability allows the user to exponentially increase their strength in regions rich in Lunar Energy, making them nearly immortal and indestructible.
With this Divine Ability alone, even as a Half-Step Tier-6 Osmanthus could stand against Eternal Overlords.

Of course, she would not be able to defeat one.

However, rooted within the Celestial Realm, even if multiple Overlords attacked at once, they would be helpless against her.

This was the greatest confidence behind her vow, “To protect the Demon Court for a hundred years without worry.”

At this moment, as if hearing Yu Zi Yu’s murmured praise, Osmanthus let out a gentle, knowing smile and softly asked, “Master, do you believe that I can protect the Demon Court for a hundred years?”

“Of course.” Yu Zi Yu slightly nodded his affirmation, a trace of amusement appearing on his face.

[However, there are still some things that need to be said.] With that in mind, Yu Zi Yu gently reminded her, “You are rooted in the Celestial Realm. While Early and Intermediate-Stage Tier-6 may find it difficult to break through your defenses, those at Late-Stage Tier-6 might be able to overwhelm you.

And that’s not even considering the possibility that they might even be wielding powerful Divine Artifacts.”

Hearing this, Osmanthus simply smiled brightly and replied, “Master, let’s be honest—how many Overlords exist under the Starry Sky today? And among them, how many truly possess a genuine Tier-7 Divine Artifact?”

Pausing for a moment, Osmanthus then gazed at Yu Zi Yu with a teasing smile and stated, “Besides… if I am to protect the Demon Court, wouldn’t Master leave me with one or two trump cards?”

“You…” With a soft chuckle, Yu Zi Yu immediately saw through this girl’s intentions.

She was clearly asking for a gift.

However, he had no problem with this, since with Osmanthus guarding the Demon Court, he could retreat into seclusion without worry.

Considering this, Yu Zi Yu waved his hand.

The next moment…

*Booooom…* A resounding roar erupted as a gourd radiating a hazy glow appeared, floating in midair.

Then, with a flick, the gourd shot straight toward Osmanthus.

“This contains my Life Essence, a Tier-6 being. It is enough to sustain you for a hundred years.” As he spoke, Yu Zi Yu raised his hand again.

*Shing—* A piercing sound tore through the air as a streak of sword light ripped across the sky before circling above. At the same time, a sharp, resonant hum, like the cry of a sword, echoed through the Heavens.

The hum seemed to carry a sense of reluctance, a deep unwillingness.

“Lifebane, I will be entering seclusion and will not need you for the time being… I hope that you’ll guard the Demon Court for a hundred years…”

As he slowly spoke, Yu Zi Yu could not help but explain further, “Osmanthus’ defenses are formidable, but her offensive capabilities are lacking. You, however, are a Tier-7 Demonic Sword, wielding the Divine Ability, God of Slaughter. The Spiritual Energy I left within you is enough for you to unleash several sword strikes. So, if the Demon Court ever faces a true crisis, I will be relying on you.”

With each sentence, Yu Zi Yu’s lips curled into a bigger smile.

Lifebane, as a Tier-7 Demonic Sword, was a weapon of pure destruction. Nurtured by Yu Zi Yu himself, a Half-Step Hegemon, its power had now grown strong enough to threaten even late Tier-6 Overlords.

If temporarily entrusted to Osmanthus, it would perfectly compensate for her lack of offensive power.

*Buzzz…* With another sharp hum, the streak of sword light, as if understanding Yu Zi Yu’s intent, suddenly accelerated, rushing toward the misty figure bathed in moonlight.

“Thank you, Master, for bestowing upon me this sword…” Osmanthus’ voice carried a tone of deep gratitude as she gazed in delight at the sword circling around her like an ethereal spirit.

Lifebane was about a metre long blade. Its frosted edge seemed capable of freezing the air itself. The silver hilt bore intricate designs, with a flowing tassel hanging from it.

However, despite its exquisite beauty, the sword’s sheer presence made the strongest beings in the Demon Court instinctively narrow their eyes.

A faint sense of wariness flickered across their faces, because the murderous aura radiating from the sword was so intense that it froze even the air itself.

“What a fearsome sword.” Golden Monkey could not help but marvel at the sight, his eyes glinting with admiration. [What a terrifying weapon… I wonder where Master found it.]

…

While everyone was reeling in shock, Yu Zi Yu, on the other hand, paid no heed to this any longer.

He had more pressing matters to attend to before his seclusion, which extended not only to the Demon Court but also to the Tree World, the Society of Demons and Fiends, and the Shades.

Each of these factions needed proper arrangements.

Of course, Yu Zi Yu would not have to personally handle everything.

He only needed to leave instructions to Nine Tails, Golden Monkey, and the others, and they would take care of the rest.

Moreover, he had come up with a rather good plan.

Once he fully entered seclusion, the various major forces would be temporarily entrusted to Empress Ling Er.

As for the Elsa  and Fredrica, they would serve as her right and left hands, guiding her rule.
