‘Once you don the mask, you become nameless!’ This phrase perfectly described the Shades, the most enigmatic force under Yu Zi Yu’s command.

Abandoning status, severing emotions, and relinquishing everything, they had become the true instruments of slaughter, honing themselves amidst blood and fire.

However, this was merely the beginning.

Shades had just stepped out from the shadows of the Demon Court, what lay ahead, even Yu Zi Yu was uncertain.

All he could do was hope that this organization would not disappoint him.

After all, every Shade was among the most elite prodigies under his command.

If he were to lose even one or two, it would pain him deeply.

And if they were completely annihilated, even Yu Zi Yu would be driven to the peak of fury.

Just then…

“Master, we are departing.” Bidding his farewell, Zi Lian raised his arm, summoning a violet storm that swiftly enveloped the group.

“Go on, take care of yourself.”

“Yes!”

With that, the violet storm shot into the sky, and disappeared in the blink of an eye. All that remained were faint ripples lingering in the air.

*Haaa…* Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but heave a sigh, but he had no other choice. This was necessary for growth.

The Ten Divine Beasts and the Legion Commanders of the Demon Court, each one of them paved their way through mountains of corpses and seas of blood.

Thus, in order for these younger generations to grow swiftly, slaughter was inevitable.

However, where there was slaughter, there was also the risk of death.

Would it end with the old mourning the young, or would they return in triumph, even Yu Zi Yu could not predict the outcome.

However, as if recalling something, a faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

[Well, it’s fine. Besides the Soul Lamp, which can preserve a silver of their Soul, they also have my Life Essence and several other treasures which could heal even near-fatal wounds. And even if all else fails…] At this thought, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly as he slowly stretched his body, adorned with eight radiant, golden wings.

Taking a deep breath, his wings slowly unfurled, sending ripples through the air. At the same time, a warm and soothing power gathered in his palm.

“The unique ability of the Seraphs—Holy Resurrection, huh!?” Yu Zi Yu could not  help but chuckle lightly, genuinely impressed.

Holy Resurrection – The ability to resurrect beings one tier lower than the caster.
Note: The soul must be intact, and the target must have died within the past day. However, using this ability significantly depletes the Power of Holy Light flowing through the caster’s bloodline.

With such a unique ability to the Seraphs, the Royal Bloodline of the Angel Clan truly lived up to its name.

However, due to the heavy depletion of their bloodline’s Holy Light Power, Seraphs rarely used it.

Not to mention, the conditions for activation were extremely stringent.

First, the resurrection must occur within a day of death.

Second, the Soul must remain intact.

However, this power would serve as one of Yu Zi Yu’s hidden trump cards for Shades.

With his current strength as a Fifth Seraph, he could resurrect up to three individuals.

Two of these slots, he intended to reserve for Shades.

If anyone among them were to fall in battle, and if their Soul remained intact within a day, Yu Zi Yu would not hesitate to bring them back.

As for the depletion of his Bloodline’s Holy Light Power, it was of no concern to him.

His Seraph Form existed solely for the sake of wielding the Holy Sixteen Wings.

His True Form was that of the Immortal Tree.

Moreover, the Holy Light Power could be restored, it simply required time.

At this thought, a faint smile danced on Yu Zi Yu’s lips.

“I hope you won’t disappoint me.” With those words, he withdrew his attention from the outside world and resumed comprehending the second golden stele.

Since it was Zi Lian taking charge, he could rest assured.

…

Two months later, Kadar Starfield, Blood Demon Star.

“Kill! Kill…!”

“Leave none alive!”

“You fiends shall all perish!”

…

A cacophony of roars filled the battlefield as countless Heavenly Soldiers descended from the skies.

Clad in golden armor and standing among the clouds, they resembled divine warriors.

They were one of the Heavenly Court’s greatest foundations—Elite Dao Soldiers.

At first glance, only 500,000 Heavenly Soldiers had descended upon Blood Demon Star.

However, their true combat power was not inferior to the two million-strong Void Army that Yu Zi Yu once commanded.

In fact, in some ways, they were even more terrifying.

The reason, because these Heavenly Soldiers were not only highly trained but also perfectly synchronized, moving as one unified force.

And now, treading the clouds, thousands upon thousands of Heavenly Soldiers swept forward like an unstoppable tide.

*Boom! Boom! Boom!* Deafening explosions erupted across Blood Demon Star as golden streaks rained down, obliterating entire cities on the ground.

“You dare court death!” Enraged, several Tier-4 Blood Demons transformed into streaks of bloodlight, shooting towards the sky to retaliate.

However, at that very moment…

*Hmph…* A cold snort suddenly echoed as a figure stepped forward from the ranks of the Heavenly Soldiers—a young man clad in silver armor, gripping a gleaming silver spear.

*Swish! Swish! Swish!* With a single thrust, streaks of silver light danced through the sky, coalescing into a colossal, thousand-meter-long Silver Phoenix.

The Silver Phoenix let out a piercing cry before diving toward the Tier-4 Blood Demons.

A moment later, a deafening explosion shook the Heavens. Then, under the horrified gazes of countless Blood Demons, blood started raining down from the sky.

The Tier-4 Blood Demons, before they could even scream, were obliterated on the spot, their bodies blown into smithereens.

…

Meanwhile, atop the city walls of this Blood Demon stronghold—

“So this… is a Divine General, one who stands above the Heavenly Soldiers…” Sneering, a Tier-5 Blood Demon Elder turned his gaze toward a figure resting in the distance.

The figure’s entire body wreathed in black runes, exuding an indescribable sense of dread.

Though he seemed asleep, he radiated the aura of a primordial beast, exuding an overwhelming presence of terror.

Even the black wings folded behind his back were covered in countless wriggling runes, as if they were alive.

This was a Qiongqi—the Third Ferocious Beast of the Society of Demons and Fiends.

And thanks to his presence alone, the Blood Demon Elder was teeming with unshakable confidence.

After all, compared to these mysterious Heavenly Soldiers and Divine Generals, the true lord of slaughter and destruction was none other than the Society of Demons and Fiends itself.
