Flame City, one of the ten new cities of China, a city ruled by the Empress–Ling Er.

Atop a towering skyscraper in this city, a figure with silver-white hair stood quietly, gazing at the moon in the sky.

Faintly, a glow was coming from the center of his brows.

Upon closer look, the glow was emanating from a mark in the shape of a crescent moon. It was a Moon Symbol, resembling as if left by moonlight.

Amid the gentle glow, the young man lowered his head, staring at his own hands in a daze. For some reason, he felt a mysterious force surging within his body.

This force was strang and abstruse. He could not describe or explain in words, but the young man could clearly feel its warmth, as if it belonged to him from birth. Furthermore, bathing in the moonlight, his silver-white short hair started growing at a visible speed, reaching his waist in just a few breaths.

At this moment, the already handsome Zang Feng, with his sharp facial features, now exuded a touch of a strange charm.

Especially with the Moon Symbol on his forehead, he appeared noble in an indescribable way.

He exuded an extraordinary and noble aura as if he was born as a Great Demon.

Just at this moment…

*Tap, tap tap…* Sudden footsteps came from the silent darkness.

The footsteps were swift, extremely so.

Zang Feng reacted in a flash, subconsciously clenched his fist.

The next moment…

With a deafening roar, a massive wave of purple flame surged towards him from one side.

At the same time, within the sea of purple flames, a jade-like crystalline hand, bearing no resemblance to a human’s, clenched into a fist and punched towards him.

“You are seeking death!” Narrowing his eyes, Zang Feng threw a punch of his own.

*Boom…* The two fists slammed into each other, resulting in a thunderous clap. However, right at this moment, Zang Feng’s expression slightly changed, because the purple flames seemed to burn his Soul, causing an indescribable stinging sensation.

Just at this moment, Zang Feng suddenly felt a tightness at the center of his brows.

At the same time, the Moon Symbol on his forehead began to flicker, as if calling something, drawing in something.

In just a moment, moonlight started gathering towards him, casting a hazy glow of moonlight around him. But it was precisely this moonlight that caused Zang Feng’s aura to skyrocket.

*Aoooo…* A deep and resonant howl, as if coming from ancient times, resonated.

Vaguely, the surrounding Otherkins, who were rushing over, felt as if a silver-white Heavenly Wolf was howling at the moon.

The next moment, much to the Otherkins surprise, Zang Feng’s figure disappeared all of a sudden.

He moved so fast that he exceeded the visual perception of the Otherkins. All they could hear was the howling of the wind in the night sky.

The next moment…

*Bang, bang, bang…” Like the beating of drums, the continuous clash echoed at the top of the skyscraper.

The rooftop was not that big, yet one could see constant collisions between streaking white and purple light.

However, they happened to be moving at an extremely fast speed.

Not to mention ordinary Otherkins, even someone as strong as Kerry had his pupils shrunk to the size of pinpricks.

“Even I can only catch afterimages, what kind of joke is this?” Kerry exclaimed with incredulity, finding it a bit hard to digest. After all, his vision was quite sharp, yet now, he could only capture mere afterimages.

[Does this mean that if we clash with each other, I’ll be finished?]

One of them was his Master, so he could accept that, however the other happened to be an Otherkin who had just finished his transformation.

…

Shortly after that…

*Haa, hoo…* Sound of heavy breathing filled the air. Looking up, a silver-white-haired figure could be seen half kneeling on the ground at the center of the rooftop. His breathing was rapid and heavy, and large beads of sweat were continuously dripping down his temples.

He happened to be staring at his own hands in disbelief.

“Is this really my strength?” He was beyond belief, extremely so. He was a mere Second Order Tier-2 Superhuman, and after undergoing gene modification, his combat power had ascended to the Third Order.

However, under the moonlight, his combat power continued rising at a visible pace, reaching a level that he found difficult to accept.

“How… how is this possible?”

However, just as he voiced his disbelief, a cold voice interrupted him, “There’s nothing impossible.”

Saying this, a figure materialized gradually on the rooftop, as if rising from flames. She stood on the railing, with her long hair dancing in the wind.

The tall and slender figure appeared delicate, but feeling the surging Spiritual Energy around her, everyone could not help but be on edge.

Despite being unable to see her face, Zang Feng could tell that she was extremely beautiful.

“Greetings, Chairwoman…” shouting in unison, the arriving Otherkins all kneeled on the ground.

Even Kerry, the Vampire, who held a high position in Zang Feng’s eyes, was no exception.

“Chairwoman…” muttering, Zang Feng seemed to realize something and took the initiative to lower his head, softly greeting, “Greetings, Chairwoman.”

“Yes, hello.” Smiling, Ling Er cast a deep glance at the young man.

She did not expect to find such a talent among the Otherkins, someone with a gene fusion rate of around 90%, completely inheriting the Innate Talent of the Mutant Beast.

More importantly, the Mutant Beast whose gene he was fused with happened to be quite terrifying. It might very well be the legendary Howling Moon Celestial Wolf, no less powerful than the Lord of the Desert.

Thinking of this, Ling Er’s gaze also fell on the forehead of the silver-white-haired young man, where a Moon Symbol was flickering intermittently.

However, that was not all.

Upon a closer look, the young man’s eyes had happened to be golden, filled with hidden sharpness.

Just like his name Zang Feng – which meant hidden edge.

The sharp aura was concealed, but once it erupted, it would be terribly sharp, extremely so.

“From now on, you’ll accompany me.” After some thought, Ling Er felt it was necessary to keep this young man by her side.

[It would be better to keep such amazing Otherkin by my side. If nurtured properly, he can be handed over to Master in the future. He could become yet another powerful force under Master’s command. But for now, I need to validate his loyalty.]

“Yes, Chairwoman,” hearing Ling Er’s orders, Zang Feng agreed without a moment of hesitation.

“Great.” Nodding her acknowledgment with a smile, Ling Er reached out towards her back.

In a moment, a remarkable long saber fell into her hand.

“This is a Demon Blade forged from the bones of the Tier-2 Mutant Blood Wolf. I went through quite a bit of trouble to get it for you.” Saying this, Ling Er handed the saber to the astonished Zang Feng.
