In a corner of Misty Mountains’ periphery…

*Tap, tap tap…* With heavy footsteps, China’s Strongest Iron Knight, along with a convoy, slowly arrived at the altar.

This was the seventh day since Yu Zi Yu had completely secluded himself in cultivation, and the second day after Sarcosuchus’s bloodline evolution.

At this point, China had finally relented.

“These are some meager gifts prepared by China for Divine Tree.” In a neither servile nor supercilious manner, China’s Strongest Knight waved his hand, lifting the black curtain covering the convoy.

It was unprocessed Spirit Stones. It was the same type of unprocessed Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone prepared by the Iron Fist Tyrant, Benson.

Apparently, these Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone Mines that were rare for Yu Zi Yu were quite abundant for Humans.

“En.” Nodding, Saroli, who was familiar with the process, began explaining the entire procedure.

And shortly after the unprocessed Lightning-Attribute Spirit Stone was put into the swirling yellowish-brown vortex, China’s Strongest Knight also received the so-called antidote, a drop of Life Essence.

Feeling the warmth as the Life Essence merged into his body, China’s Strongest Knight let out a rare sigh of relief.

It was not that he was afraid of death, what he feared was dying in agony from poison rather on the battlefield.

Fortunately, China relented and promised him a massive amount of resources; otherwise, he really would not know what to do.

However, just at this moment, as if thinking of something, China’s Strongest Knight looked towards the quietly standing girl beside the altar, Saroli, and curiously asked, “Did Benson also receive just a drop of Life Essence?”

Saroli remained silent, and just shook her head in response.

After a moment, looking at China’s Strongest Knight who was still staring at her, she explained, “That’s a secret, I can’t disclose it.”

“Alright.” After a moment of silence, China’s Strongest Knight no longer pursued this.

He promptly turned around and led the convoy straight towards the outskirts of Misty Mountains.

…

A short while after the Chinese convoy’s departure, a surprised voice rang, gazing in the direction China’s Strongest Knight left, “Why didn’t you make a Covenant with him?”

A bit puzzled, the Snow Leopard slowly emerged from behind a large tree.

“He doesn’t desire for more.” Heaving a sigh of helplessness, Saroli continued, “This guy is a Knight, his determination is beyond imagination… he won’t easily bow to our Misty Mountains…”

But right at that very instant, before Saroli could even finish her sentence…

*Clap clap clap…* Loud applause rang from within the mist.

Following the sound, Saroli, the Snow Leopard, and others caught sight of a bare-footed girl, resembling the embodiment of flame, slowly walking over with a group of black-robed figures.

Surprisingly, the mist that always kept outsiders from entering Misty Mountains slowly dissipated with her arrival.

Even the Mist Beasts, which occasionally roared, adding a bit of fierceness to Misty Mountains, prostrated at this moment.

“Greetings, Eldest Sister…”

In unison, countless Mutant Beasts lurking around the altar, such as Mutant Wild Boars, Mutant Hedgehogs, and even the famous Mutant Beast of Misty Mountains, all respectfully greeted.

“Mhmm,” Ling Er nodded in response, not paying much attention to it. Instead, she focused her gaze on the nearby Saroli, who was being controlled by Five-Color Spirit Flowers. With a smile, she stated, “Your analysis is correct. Given his staunch personality, China’s Strongest Knight would never make a covenant with Misty Mountains. If forced, we risk exposure of the covenant signed with Misty Mountains.”

At this moment, hearing the unanimous shouts of many Mutant Beasts, Five-Color Spirit Flower also seemed to be momentarily stunned at the sight of the approaching girl.

After a while, as if realizing something, Five-Color Spirit Flower exclaimed, using Saroli as medium, “Are you the legendary Eldest Sister of Misty Mountains?”

“What do you think?” Mischievously giggling, Ling Er flicked a strand of hair, and teasingly asked, “Besides me, who else would willingly give up their body and let you control it willingly? Besides me, who else would show you a clear path to Misty Mountains?”

Listening to this playful voice, Five-Color Spirit Flower heaved a helpless sigh.

“As I had expected.” As the words fell, Five-Color Spirit Flower seemed to have thought of something and straightforwardly asked, “Why did you suddenly return? Are you not afraid of the Chinese government getting suspicious?”

“Suspicion!?” Smiling, Ling Er no longer concealed anything and proactively explained, “I’ve come openly and aboveboard this time. After all, I was poisoned by the ‘Tree Monster.’ Without the antidote, I won’t live for long.”

Speaking of this, Ling Er, who had always kept her emotions in check, unexpectedly burst into laughter.

Precisely because, this was Misty Mountains, her home.

In other places, her personality does not allow her to express her emotions so openly. After all, she was the Empress, the most famous and feared woman in China.

“Uh…” Stunned for a moment, Five-Color Spirit Flower was speechless for a while.

[Amazing, the legendary Eldest Sister of Misty Mountains, actually returned under the guise of ‘detoxification’ and came back to give gifts in an open and aboveboard manner.]

Thinking this, the Five-Color Spirit Flower shifted her gaze on the black-robed individuals standing behind Ling Er.

Each and every one of them carried something; some held black suitcases in their hands, while others had large backpacks on their backs.

At this moment, as if sensing the Five-Color Spirit Flower’s scrutinizing gaze, Ling Er beckoned towards the back.

The next moment…

*Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh…*

Accompanied by rapid swooshes, countless Bats flew out of the mist, gathering into a blood-colored figure.

“This is my steward, the Vampire. He will be responsible for taking inventory for you later.” Speaking of this, Ling Er also glanced at the black-robed figures behind her and introduced, “All these people are already being controlled by me, and are absolutely loyal to me. They won’t betray us.”

“En.” Five-Color Spirit Flower nodded in response, though deep inside, she was terribly surprised.

[She has indeed proved herself to be the most mysterious Eldest Sister of Misty Mountains. Her methods are truly beyond words. She is even forcibly controlling the people around her using her psychic power.]

The Five-Color Spirit Flower was utterly stupefied, but she could not help but agree with her methods. Such caution was to be expected from someone like Ling Er. After all, she was doing something really extraordinary.

If the Chinese government were to find out, they would probably launch a collective attack on her and anyone related to her.

At this moment, after instructing Five-Color Spirit Flower, Ling Er lifted her graceful step, and transformed into a streak of light, promptly making a beeline straight towards the heart of Misty Mountains.

It had been too long, far too long since she had seen her Master.

At this moment, Ling Er, or more accurately, Qing Er, was feeling a complex mix of emotions.

There were countless things she wanted to say.

But when she wanted to speak, she did not know how to express them.

…

Not long after, in North Canyon deep within the Misty Mountains…

*Tap, tap tap…* Amidst light footsteps, powerful and fearsome Mutant Beasts looked respectfully at the approaching Human girl.

Even someone as strong as Nine Tails Nine Tails showed a trace of reverence at the sight of this figure.

“Who is this?” Astounded, Snake Queen, who had never met Ling Er, asked quietly.

She had been in Misty Mountains for over a month now. However, it was the first time she had seen these powerful Mutant Beass all showing respect, especially towards a Human girl.

She was having a hard time believing it. After all, the Mutant Beast of Misty Mountains were the most unruly creatures Snake Queen had ever seen.

They took great pride in being a part of Misty Mountains, and were even more proud of having Divine Tree in the center.

Not to mention Humans, even beasts like her, classified as one of the Ten Monstrosities Beasts of the Continent, were only respected here due to their status as ‘Guardians.’

Yet now, a mere Human was making all these proud Mutant Beasts bow their heads?
