Eternal Thief

Ace was flabbergasted when he saw so many notifications buzzing in his head, and each one of them was more shocking than the other.

’Sigil of Darkness?’ Ace’s eyes widened slightly because he wasn’t expecting the system also to reveal the Sigil of Darkness right after he got in contact with the Sigil of Sin.

Furthermore, Ace knew that in front of the Sigil of Darkness, the Sigil of Sin was like a child in front of an adult because the former originated from the Order of Darkness, and the system!

However, before he could react, a massive amount of primordial spirit Qi within his inner world started to gather, and Ace knew it was the second reward of comprehending the Sin Sigil.

Now he was breaking through to the 10-Star Ascension Master directly from the 2-Star Ascension Master, and not only that, but he was on the verge of a breakthrough. With a single thought, he could initiate the Heavenly Law Punishment for the Ascension Grandmaster Realm!

Moreover, Ace suspected that if the Heavenly Law Punishment’s requirement didn’t restrict his realm, this breakthrough wouldn’t just end with him reaching the 10-Star stage of Ascension Master Realm.

Nonetheless, Ace focused on his breakthrough, as it was a massive raise in his cultivation base, and if he wasn’t careful, he might’ve suffered backlash.

On top of them, his comprehension of Darkness increased again, and he could feel he was on the verge of comprehending something new.

However, that feeling didn’t last long. Ace felt that whatever he experienced was too elusive, slipping by his fingertips before he could even figure out what it was, yet he still felt powerful.

Not to mention, the Law of Sin within him was now the strongest law he had comprehended, and he also had the Law Legacy related to it now.

But before anything, after his breakthrough, Ace opened his status panel and looked at the section of [Order] excitedly, as he wanted to see the newly added ’Sigil of Darkness’.

Although Ace couldn’t feel anything other than the Sigil of Sin, he thought it was something unique to the Order of Darkness.

When the interface opened…

The moment Ace saw the newly added [Sigil of Darkness] section, his eyes flickered with astonishment before they narrowed with a hint of confusion.

“System, what does the Sigil Completion mean? Do I have to fulfill 11 more conditions to awaken it? If yes, then what are those conditions?” Ace couldn’t help but question the system.

Although he had a vague answer in his heart, he still wanted to confirm it.

“[Indeed, the Order Sigil of Darkness needs at least 12 Law Sigils awakened from the High Laws (Mother Laws) or Unique Laws of Darkness. Lesser Law’s (Branch Laws) sigils can’t be used as a component of Order Sigil of Darkness!]

“[Host has already awakened the Unique Law Sigil of Sin, which also leads to the Darkness! As long as you can gather 11 more such Law Sigils, the Order Sigil of Darkness will bloom!]”

Realization dawned on Ace before he couldn’t help but smile wryly, “Heh, I didn’t even know about the Law Sigils a day ago, and yet now, I have to comprehend eleven more such law sigils? And they even must be from the High Laws or Unique Laws? I guess, I won’t be able to use the Order Sigil of Darkness for a long time!”

Ace wasn’t delusional to think that he could complete this task in a short period of time or even try to work on it because he knew he wasn’t at that level yet where he could causally comprehend the Law Sigils on his own.

The Sin Sigil was just a massive opportunity that might never come again, and he knew he wouldn’t even be able to grasp it if it wasn’t for the Live Fate Map or the Sin Law he already had.

“System, since I’ve already come in contact with Law Sigils and even acquired one, can you tell me at which level a Law Sigil can manifest? I’m pretty sure it’s not just about comprehending all the mystic abilities of a Law.” Ace questioned, which he didn’t dare to ask, the Ancestor of Profane Chains, not to mention he didn’t trust him entirely.

“[Host current authority isn’t enough!]”

Dark lines surfaced on Ace’s forehead when he heard that unexpected answer, and he was about to argue when all of a sudden a new system interface opened in front of him…

[Incoming House Call!]

-Caller: Eva A. White (Abyssal Architect Thief)

-Accept/Ignore/Reject

=====

Ace’s eyes narrowed when he saw Eva’s call, and he quickly picked it up because he had tried to call her before, but she hadn’t picked up, so he didn’t force it because he thought she might be in the middle of something. However, she still took quite a while before calling him back.

The moment the call was accepted, Eva’s melodious voice sounded, “You can’t sit still without drawing attention to yourself, do you?”

Ace was surprised before he inquired, “What are you talking about?”

“Heh, as if you don’t know what you did in the Black Hermit Mines!” Eva snickered with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

A hint of realization flashed in Ace’s eyes, but he was still confused because he still thought that opening that legacy door hadn’t caused any huge commotion.

However, he knew Eva’s status was extremely high within the Obsidian Myriad Kingdom, and she wouldn’t be bringing this up without a solid reason.

Ace suddenly had a bad feeling about this and solemnly questioned, “Tell me everything you know!”
